I don’t often take the time to write a review for a product but I am so thrilled with this product I feel compelled to. I bought the disc that changes colors and it is exactly what I expected and what I wanted. I played with it during the day with my niece and it glides great. I played with it for hours in the evening as the sun went down and it was so fun! I loved how even though it was dark, we could still play and it couldn’t get lost. If you are thinking about buying this, don’t hesitate. You will not regret it, it provided us hours of fun.

Bought this as a gift for my brother who loves Frisbee. The weight and feel is just like a traditional Frisbee. The LEDs are bright and make the disc easy to catch at night. It changes colors on it’s own which made for a cool effect while we were playing. We noticed that the light will turn off if the disc hits the ground hard, but it can easily be turned back on. I didn’t see a way to change the battery, so I’m not sure if it is possible. Even if I can’t change the battery, it will still make for a good Frisbee for throwing during the day once it dies.

I purchased this for camping so we would have something to do in the early evening in the campground when it is still very light outside the campground but pretty dark inside due I all the tall trees. We tried it out a few weeks before our camping trip at night and everyone had a blast. We got the disco one so it slowly changes colors. We had just the one front light on so there was just enough light to see where people were standing. I felt like this frisbee was easier to catch than other ones. The kids love playing with this at night and it really helps to tire them out before bed.

I bought this frisbee for my husband, and then we went to the beach with our 8 year old son at night and played with it. Besides the novelty factor of playing frisbee on the beach in the dark, it looked beautiful and was very sturdy. It took a tiny bit to get used to the weight and strength needed to throw it correctly, but once we figured it out we caught it more often than dropped it, and it was very easy to throw straight. We had a great time and are planning to bring it to Cub Scouts fr the boys to play with. I bet anyone would have fun with this frisbee!

Every now and then you wanna throw a Frisbee around on a nice day. Every now and then you wanna throw one around at night too. This is the BEST Frisbee to get. A friend of mine got a cheaper one and it broke within the first 20 minutes. Granted, he threw it at a tree, but it no longer works. This Nite Ize Flying Disc has taken all kinds of abuse and works perfectly. Gotten run over by a car, dog chewed it, hit trees, hit a house, still lights up. I went with blue, and I have to say, it is so bright it can be blindingly bright. If you miss the catch, I would recommend putting it behind your back for about 10 seconds to let your eyes readjust to the dark. Best $20 I have ever spent.

Awesome frisbee! Perfect weight. Love the LED light. It cycles through about 6 different colors. It’s pretty bright but after about 2.5 years it’s very dull. But for the price, it’s excellent. The material is also great. Not quite a hard plastic. Good grip because it has lines around the edge that help your fingers grab on.

I bought this last year after one of my friends brought it over and thought it was the coolest thing. I got one and took it on a float trip (not on the water) and everybody loved it! Through normal wear and tear, it developed a small crack along one of the center ridges which slightly affected the flight but not a huge deal. I decided to shoot an email to the manufacturer to just see what kind of warranty the disc even had. Their customer support is amazing! I got a reply within a day and they shipped me a new one for free! So overall a fantastic product and even better customer support, definitely recommend!

This is a great all-around frisbee and the lighting is very bright in the darkness. It allows me and my son to throw after work in the fall.I would recommend the color changing buy wish you could select different modes or solid colors when you like.It is on the heavier side so you will want to get used to throwing at night before throwing it too hard as it will hurt if you get hit.

Red is definitely the best color for keeping your eyes adjusted to the dark, but played around with the different colors and really didn’t have too much of an issue. Color changing mode was awesome. I think the disco is the best one. These are very thick and well balanced, easy to throw, makes you look like you know what you are doing kinda throw, doesn’t wobble in the air. Which I thought it would with the battery case in the middle. But its very solid, drops, and alls good. The disc is a nice glow with a stream down the led strands that stream from the center. Very cool. We use at our campground for guests who want to throw frisbee in the dark. Nice entertainment for kids.

Waited far far too long to buy one of these. So I bought 3. Gave my nephews blue and red. I kept the green. Unreal how bright it is. Like a glow in the dark just out from a long bright light.Huge in circumference and weighty for those long throws. Seems durable and says waterproof. Watch battery type batteries for replacement. I bough this to play frisbee on the beach at night. It works wonderfully. The battery hasn’t died, so I can’t really speak on the battery life. But, I was able to easily see it on an overcast night. I did trip over a log in the dark and temporarily lost my phone while flying through the air, but that wasn’t frisbee’s fault. I have since forgiven it.

Captures peoples eyes from a distant as its thrown and soaring through the air. That is actually how it capture my eyes and bought this product and so on. I originally received one of these frisbees (or flying disc?) as a gift back in 2013. I used it in parks, at the beach, over parking lots, everywhere. I changed the battery 2 years into it and now finally the button started to turn off on its own. With a 4 year life span, I was impressed with its durability given the brutal treatment it has received. With that in mind, I decided to replace it with the exact same model, and I couldn’t happier with my decision.The blue led is bright and perfect for night time fun with friends. The plastic is durable with some flex which helps it survive hard crashes onto pavement. My original disc did warp a tad after years of use, but it did not affect its flying ability, Of course, if your intention is daytime ultimate frisbee matches, you would be better off with a Discraft Ultra Star. The Discraft is made with a harder plastic and flies farther for more competitive action. I keep both in my car, but I have a lot more fun throwing the Nite Ize.

My FlashFlight frisbee was delivered today and we waited until dusk to go throw it. I purchased the LED blue light and it was easy on the eyes and easy to follow. It flew so nice, we used the field next to us to get longer flights! With the 185 grams of wieght it flew straight as an arrow! The whole family had a great time. I have not used it long enough to learn about the battery life and it has not had a chance to hit the corner of the barn or the big tree enough times to test durability. So far so GREAT!!!!side note: Niteize has great lighted LED balls for dogs that work great as well!

the only thing is the light is a little to bright in the middle so we placed a square of vinyl black duck tape and it stopped blinding us and then it was ufo at night time. You can do this for about 30 minutes until the arm gets worn out. This is the light up disc you want. And beware of cheap knock-offs as they are definitely out there. A few weeks ago I ordered a 2-pack of these for a great price from another seller and something completely different got delivered. The description said “Nite Ize Flashflight”. The photo of the product was the same as this one. But that wasn’t what they shipped me. The discs I received were very similar to Nite Ize but not exactly. Each one lasted for about 2 hours of play before falling apart too. So just beware. If the price seems too good to be true it probably is. I just chalked it up as a learning experience and had to re-order the real deal from somebody else.This genuine Nite Ize disc should last you a long time unless you abuse it or are just unlucky. Red is the color you want too. It doesn’t adversely affect your night vision like the other colors. A person’s eyes will get better and better the longer they stay in the dark unless they are subjected to outside light sources other than red. That is why every astronomer you see has a red flashlight hanging off his telescope. The other colors are easier to see at first but will keep your eyes from being at their best in the dark. With them you will be seeing the disc fine but not seeing everything around you as well as you should.Good luck!

My lab is OBSESSED with Frisbees and catching them in the air. We have normal ones, but we wanted one for playing at night. She has 0 problems catching it, and carries it when we’re walking to the field and back. It’s endured large amounts of dog saliva, and I rinse it off afterwards and it’s back to new. We’re on our second one because the first one got destroyed from tons of uses, but we’ll continue buying them again.

This is a high quality frisbee that also has a couple of small batteries and LEDs in the center. You can use like a regular frisbee by day and then press the button in the center of the underside to turn on the light show. The center and ribs within the disk carry light allowing the disc to easily be seen in the dark. The colors move throughout the spectrum and are not usable selectable, just on or off. Our family bought this on a recommendation from a friend who uses it while camping and we had kids from age 8 up to 76 throwing it all over the back yard after the sun went down. You would be hard pressed to have more fun for about $20.

I’m a long time frisbee fan 30 )+ years I’ve been on leagues, frisbee golf etc. I’m a big fan of the disc craft brand. The size,weight and tacky Ness is very very close to disc craft . It’s a nice soft pliable plastic. And extremely durable. Obviously you are limited on “pop ups” and finger spins due to the fiber optic ridges underneath and the 1 inch on off button.But for all other activities it’s great. The blue lights up very well…easy to catch and throw and batteries have around 20 hours so far and still bright. If mine broke tomorrow I’d “prime” me another one tomorrow.

I ended up breaking my last one trying to remove the cover (and of course bought a new one), but doesn’t change my opinion on these – tons of fun!PS – for a really fun night, get packs of glow sticks (for an ultimate frisbee game) – like 1 team with green, 1 team with red. Get bigger glow sticks for end zones, and go out to a field to play glow in the dark frisbee! Tons of fun!

Wow! DO NOT order just a “Glow in the dark” frisbee. ORDER THIS ONE! I did a bunch of research and this is the one I was longing for. Just make sure you can’t trip on anything! My first one had a slightly different battery compartment which popped off easily on impact. You twisted it to turn the lights on. The second one had a very secure push button that took so much effort to turn on that I thought it was broken at first. Even the guys at the battery store and on our camping trip couldn’t figure it out until my brother set it upside down on a picnic table and gave it a good push. After we figured out the button, it worked fine–even better than the first one–and I didn’t have to worry about the battery cap popping off or water getting in if the grass is wet.Even during the day, it’s still nice because it has a nice weight and is a nice translucent white color. No rough edges. It might be a little heavy for small kids, maybe, but the wind doesn’t affect it much at all. My brother pointed out that the battery/light compartment on the bottom might make catching uncomfortable for serious frisbee players, but it doesn’t bother me at all.

This is the best Frisbee I have ever used for playing ultimate Frisbee in the dark. I and my friends have owned several of these frisbees and they have always been great. It is appropriately heavy for ultimate frisbee in my opinion. The lights make it really easy to see at night. It works great in the daytime too. The one issue I have ever seen with this Frisbee is if it is thrown hard into a hard surface like a wall it can knock apart the battery compartment and cause the lights to get flaky and flickery. So don’t throw it hard at walls. But it is sturdy enough for years of regular play and does fine with landing on the ground even on hard surfaces. Also the battery lasts a very long time although I am sure at some point you may need to replace it.

My brother and I have literally gone through over well over 30 of these things over the last ten years or so. They fly great and are loads of fun at night… BUT battery replacement is truly impossible (don’t believe that video for a second, the plastic cap won’t come off without destroying the electronics) and each one seems to die faster than the last. The Disco select one I just bought literally lasted 1-2 hrs.

The Nite Ize frisbee ROCKS! The lighting system is far more durable than expected. Very easy to see at night and looks super cool in flight! Well balanced. All around five Stars. Only minor drawback is if u like doing tricks that require fingers on the underside of frisbee, the 10 or so grooves that carry the fiber optic wire to the outer rim of the disc, can be a bit painful on the finger tips.

I play disc golf and toss frisbees for fun. I can be a snob with my discs. A cheap, poor flying frisbee just isn’t fun to toss. The Flashflight is not that. This is the best flying throw-and-catch frisbee I know of. Anyone can throw it. It flies straight and long. It’s easy to catch. The lights are a bonus and work perfectly. I like the disco version but friends have single color flashflights that fly just as well.

Love this frisbee! Used it mainly for Polish horseshoes at night. If you use PVC pipe like I did for the poles you can cram a string of Christmas lights inside and it will illuminate as well as a glow stick in a clear bottle on top works great. So much fun!

As an ultimate frisbee player familiar with what consists of a good disc, I think this flashlight is a must-have for people who like frisbee. My boyfriend and I recently tossed with it in the dark while camping, and it was seriously so fun. The disc has a good weight, the lights are bright, and they only turn on and off when you intend for them to (this is good because the battery isn’t wasted). I recommend tossing with it in the dark while wearing a headlamp (it’s really fun if you have a headlamp that can be in red light mode rather than white).

This Frisbee is very durable and indeed highly water resistant. Great for throwing in the dark and in the rain. Flies just like a professional ultimate Frisbee disc. I was expecting the solid red version but I got the color changing one which is actually way cooler! There are fiber optic lines which port the light to the edges which can be felt sometimes when throwing but I have found that they do not impact throwing performance (see photo). This is my new favorite Frisbee disc and a must bring for camping trips. Don’t let the day time limit your game of toss or canjam any longer!

I just bought this a replacement for one I’ve had for years. Wonderful product but no matter how gentle I was the battery cover could not be removed. It is the hard stick rubber cover. The whole light came off and I had to get a new one. Any hints on removing the battery cover beyond the over simplistic explanation on the box would be most appreciated. I love this product already! It is weighted perfectly like other discs. We use it to play ultimate frisbee. It throws well in heavy wind. The LED is easy to turn on. It lights up in the center and then LEDs carry the light all the way to the edge of the disc. When spinning it’s fully illuminated and super easy to see. We’ve used lighted discs in the past and they were only lit in the center. This one blows them out of the water. I would highly recommend this disc and plan to buy many more in the future.

I’m writing my review because of the several negative reviews I read& to set the record straight. This is hands down the best flying disc I’ve ever thrown& I have thrown many a disc in my time(note my handle) Flashflight discs are very well made, are IDIOT proof(apparently there are some exceptions), absolutely water resistant, float, bulletproof&changing the battery is as simple as wiping your ass. I recommend that rather than replace the (2)cr2016 batteries (which can be difficult to find&expensive)buy the more common cr2032 battery which is thicker and requires only 1battery rather than 2& can be found everywhere from most 99¢ stores, harbor freight and dollar tree stores in a 3-6 pack. Simply pull the 2 2016batts out and replace with 1 2032batt. Take care when opening your battery compartment for the first time as they can be difficult to open the first time. The button cap simply pops off. The first time you should use a spoon to help leverage the cap off with disc on a flat surface. I use chapstick, petroleum jelly, Carmex or any other type of product to lightly lubricate the cap&help ensure it maintains a water tight fit& forevermore opens easily. From time to time the fiber optics spines will come out of their track&make your disc fly untrue. Simply push them back into the tracks& it will be good2go. When dirty they shine less brightly. Alcohol on a rag cleans them well&restores to a like new luminance. If you have a DiscO, you will be changing batteries more often. I prefer solid green or blue personally& the batteries in solid, nonflashers last 4x as long as the flashers. To the morons for whom I wrote this review because they could not change the batteries in the pushbutton&prefer the twist battery(they stopped making them 15years AGO)…It’s a POPCAP NOT A WATER BOTTLE CAP. TWISTING DOES NOTHING BUT STRAIN THE FIBER OPTIC NERVE CENTER. POP THE CAP, CHANGE THE BATTERIES, GO THROW YOUR DISC. GET OUT OF YOUR MOM’S BASEMENTS &STOP HATING ON AMAZON REVIEWS&POTENTIALLY INFLUENCING WOULD BE BUYERS TO PASS OVER THE BEST FLYING FUN& EXERCISE YOU WILL EVER ENJOY. I BUY 2at a time, throw every single night in all conditions& these discs last on average about 8months to a year depending on the hits taken(they take a beating&still fly perfectly but the hits will add up&if you throw every night as I do you’ll need a new disc every year). We play with this frisbee while camping at dusk and into the night. It’s so much fun for everyone about 8 years old and up to participate with. Highly durable and apparently water proof because sometimes it lands in the pool and it still works! And floats! The light is super bright and it’s so cool to see it flying through the air and then just randomly stop by a silhouette. When all 15 of us get together, you can’t tell who caught it unless they say something or they have a distinct sound they make when catching it (like me). Love this frisbee!

This frisbee is amazing!! We showed it off to my wifes family one night and were outside in the dark playing with the lit up frisbee for hours! It’s so good. Flys straight and true! Just don’t forget to pick your color.. I kind of forgot about that. I got the clear one but it’s still visible during the day and at night no problem the blue light is bright as day!

This is such a great disc (frisbee). We go out every evening to a local park and play frisbee. It’s a great way to work up a sweat and be active. Some days we end up playing as it is getting dark and having several dark colored discs they start to get really hard to see. Well here’s the solution. Not only can we see the disc now it looks crazy cool while we are playing so many people have asked us where we got this and what it is when we use it. Which is all great but the biggest thing I was worried about was how does it throw, I was shocked at just how good a frisbee this is. It throws almost as nice as my high end disc (Discraft) honestly I almost can’t tell the difference, it is amazing. If that is your concern when considering buying this frisbee let me assure you it throws like a dream. If your looking for a good solid frisbee you can play with at night, this is it.

Disc is almost exactly like the ultimate disc weighing in at 175g. Has a great shape and flies well.Best part is obviously the lights and they do not disappoint!!!! Multicolor lights is what I chose 👍🏻 The battery has been on for at least 12 hrs of play and shows no signs of light fading.Hours of fun have been had playing frisbee in the dark. It has been submerged in a river, rained on, stepped on, hit trees, hit rocks, hit vehicles……thoroughly tested and still highly recommended. I do recommend buying some bright glow sticks to wear so you can see who/where to throw it.

I love this frisbee!!! The blue LED illuminates the night very well and is very easily seen. The frisbee itself is waterproof and is very durable. My friend threw it in the street once and it got ran over my a Ford F-350 (Big truck) and the frisbee remained in tact with the LED still working! Ive brought the frisbee into the lake many times and nothing malfunctioned. It is a very fun frisbee to play with. Performance wise it is different from other frisbees Ive played with since it weighs a little more. You can tell the difference when you through it with some wind as it will dip down due to its weight. Recommended highly though seeing as how it is too much fun to have

These things are great. I use them so much that they tend to get beat up so I periodically purchase a new one. Be careful when removing the battery cover, it can break and render the light function useless, so just be gentle when removing. Also be cautious of trees and bushes and such at night, I have seen quite a few people crash into trees and through plants and bushes haha.

We bought this because we have the glow in the dark Kan Jam but we HATE the Frisbee…. you can’t see anything with it. This one has a different weight distribution than a regular Frisbee but you can easily get used to it after a few throws. I highly recommend buying this over the one they give you… it works AWESOME.

I bought this Frisbee to have before going to the beach. I wanted to be able to throw it on the beach at night and obviously needed something that you would be able to see. This disc flies great and is extremely bright when lit up at night time. The Frisbee was certainly easy to find at night, but what i didn’t think about was being able to also see the person you’re throwing it to at night haha. Overall this is a great Frisbee for day or night and it’s lighting capability does not affect its flying.

I like that the disc is well-balanced and feels like your standard Frisbee disc in weight, size and shape. Very easy to through like any other disc. No learning curve assuming you already can through a disc. I really like the light on the disc! In the dark, it made it possible to see it and continue to play games with friends. Nobody had a problem seeing it. I like the multi-colored disc, but I hadn’t read the details. If I were to purchase this again, (and I might buy another one), there is an option to stop the light on one particular color of many. It’s not an option on my disc, but I only would have preferred that as an option. There wasn’t a color that prevented us from using this disc to play Can Jam.Oh! And it held up to playing Can Jam without causing issues with the light. The cap that holds the batteries in place has yet to come off. I feel confident that this disc will take usual playing roughness without issue. Definitely a solid purchase.

These things are great. This is about my 5th time purchasing one, so I know them well.I like to buy these for the cottage. I usually keep it up there in the off-season (winter). And the battery is usually dead by the time I come back. No big deal as you can replace the batteries and don’t have to buy a new disc.The only other problem with these things is they seem to grow legs. Every other year I have to buy another one of these things. Very peculiar…

On lookers love it, heck we even got a few in on the action!Lots of fun, if you have kids and want to entertain them in the evening pull the trigger on this, no brainer, money well spent.Oh I should mention that ours has hit stuff, trees, the ground etc. and is still working great…durability is good so far!

I have a softball team, after games rather than playing ‘bags’ AKA ‘cornhole’ we started playing ‘Poleish Horseshoes’ AKA ‘Beersbee’ (YouTube it if you’re unfamiliar). It got to the point where regular frisbees were hitting our opponents in the face because the visibility didn’t allow for enough reaction time, especially because we always played at night with different lighting situations. So I bought this & WOW! was I surprised with the quality. The disc is so bright you’ll never lose it as it’s flying at your face, no matter the speed. It’s taken a beating, going full speed at brick walls, being kicked around as a soccer ball on pavement by a fellow who’d had more than his share of libations for the night. It’s had alcoholic beverages spilled all over it & it’s even been nearly completely submerged in puddles of water more than once. It’s never even turned off without me intentionally clicking the button. It’s gotten so popular amongst friends that I’ve been requested to bring it over to get-togethers & BBQ’s. This is a product you didn’t know you needed.

Flies Great, very bright almost too bright at times, rugged so far… My group of friends throws “flying discs” often, flies like a proper “flying disc”

I read other reviews about the durability of this product and let me just say it is DURABLE! I accidentally tossed it into the street and a car’s back tire RAN OVER IT and it is STILL PERFECT!Also, it really is perfect for nighttime frisbee, the lights are so cool and fun!

Pretty simple. It’s a frisbee, and it lights up. Product works flawlessly and is a blast to throw around at night. Easy to use, reliable, and so far is pretty durable. Definitely happy with the product.

I have owned 2 of these over my lifetime and this is favorite Frisbee hands down. It really is the perfect weight and shape. I rarely use it at night but still prefer this to any Frisbee I have ever owned or used. I get the straightest and smoothest throws out of this Frisbee. It also holds up extremely well. I lost my first one to a river but rather than that I am sure I would still be on my first one. The battery lasts forever too. I did not use it night too much but maybe 20-30 times over a few years and the battery never wore out.

This was a huge hit on the Boy Scout camping trip last weekend. It looks really cool at night with the lights changing colors flying through the air. Very rugged and was subject to some rough play and held up great. I’m sure we’ll be expected to bring it on every future camp out.
