Converts Electrical Connection Type

High Conductivity
This is a heavy-duty 30-amp male electrical head that is compatible with a 50-amp female electrical head. It is made from 100% copper with 10/3-gauge wires for superior conductivity.
Flexible, Safe and Durable Construction
The dogbone adapter cord is very flexible. It is coated with a heavy-duty flame retardant and heat-resistant PVC sheath that protects it from wear and tear, as well as outdoor elements.
Hassle-Free Power Grip Plug
The Power Grip handle helps users to grip, plug, and unplug the male and female ends of an adapter without straining or damaging it.

I ordered this product with damaged packaging for less money, item was in great condition and there was no issues. Wasn’t the right adapter that I needed but that’s my fault. Product seems very heavy duty!
SQ –
Bought this to keep my trailer charged while stored in my yard. Great price, does what it’s intended for
RCC –
Works well.
Shi –
Works great for our older pop up
Kwan L. Lowe –
I purchased this for use with a Westinghouse 4500W inverter generator. Not a tremendous amount to say except that it works as expected. It does seem a bit overbuilt and thicker than I expected, but that’s a good thing. The handle is useful because the socket takes a bit of effort to plug into. I attached an extension cord that powered a portable AC unit and it worked without issue.

Good sturdy plug. Excellent value. Works as it should.
D. G. –
Have used it a few times. The plugs are nice and secure, and the large handle is a nice touch. The whole unit is very solid. I do not know about water resistance, as I tend to avoid dunking electrical connections in water.
Tom Spencer –
Good length for use standard 120 plug, used it on my solar generator, portable generator and shore power, no issues
Doug –
This was exactly what I needed at a reasonable price. About 2 weeks in advance, we made reservations at an RV park that advised the site would only have 50 amp service, for our 30 amp RV. I had time to order this adapter, which I now carry all the time. The RV park had similar adapters for sale for about $50.00

Perfect for those campgrounds that give you a 50 amp hookup site and your rig is configured for 30 amp
Brent McLendon –
Just what I expected. So much easier to use than just the adapter. Spend a little more and save yourself some frustration.
Robert Saucier –
Our camper dealer wanted almost 3x the price for this item. It’s sturdy and the molded handles make it much easier to disconnect. If you use a variety of campgrounds, this is a must-have for 30A campers for just in case situations.Remember that this doesn’t convert 50A to 30A, it takes 1/2 of the 50A circuit. If you lean more towards the tech/gadget side of camping, you’ll have 25A so you may not be able to run that A/C, the microwave, crockpot, etc., all at once. 🙂

We purchased this item on June 22, 2017 from Amazon for $10.84 with our Prime. Make sure you use camel camel camel to check on Amazon pricing to see that you are getting the best price. We love this item and it worked great last year camping. We hope to have another great year using this with our camper this season. I’m even more happier with it when I see the price currently 5/2/2018 for $12.44. The site camel camel camel has saved me lots of money along with the honey extension. History on camel camel camel shows I was too slow because at one point this item last year was $7.50.

I got this so I could plug in my rv at home to a 15 amp outlet (with a 30/15 amp plug adapter). It does the job just fine. I can now, if needed, also connect my 30′ 30 amp extension cord onto the end of my 50 amp service cord for a total of 55′.
MN GQ –
Used in my 30 amp 115 volt camper outlet to run some Christmas lights. Will be putting in the motor home for camping when needed.
Gail L. Satterlee –
Works perfectly, indispensable.
PJ –
Does what it’s supposed to do-30A to 15A. fyi: only use with 30 amp extension cord! If ya use with regular (orange) extension cord, you’ll be buying both of them again. Also recommend use with surge protector.
mark –
works well
Randy Williams –
These are so much easier to use than the straight plug-in adapter style. Highly recommend
Sterling –
Heavy duty plug. Works great. Plug into a 50amp electric box and plug in your 30 amp plug from you trailer, etc. Fantastic plug. Allows you to use a 50 amp Electric box.
AlbertL –
Must have for campers parts kit. Never know when a campground wont have your elect. needs available. Well made, easy storage.
ARo –
Seems like a solidly built adapter (15-20 amp to 30 amp). It’s short, but that’s okay. It’s much better than what it is replacing.
User –
These are great.
henry j graham –
Worked perfectly no need to leave my 50 amp cord out
Elio C –
Our RV is a 30AMP, but always smart to have a 30-to-50 AMP in those situations where 30 is not offered. This adapter has helped us on several occasions, where a park only had 50AMP available during our stay. This product is practical and must have for us with 30AMP RVs.
cindy christopherson –
It was very good quality and worked perfectly!
Angela meyer –
This is a must for 50a chords. This takes all the weight of the chord off the connection at the RV. After only 14 months ours was starting to bend from the weight causing the threaded locking ring to be useless. This item would have prevented this from occurring I believe.
Roger –
works perfect plugs in and unplugs with ease. Had to use many times on our month vac traveling to manydestinations. the 90 deg angle allows for easy install and uninstall.
Benjamin Farmer –
Got this for the 50 amp site. it works. Like the grip handles for securing it at storage place if needing to keep plugged in. Just put a cable lock through the handles then around the pole to keep temptations down for my neighbors.
Bowepr –
I wanted to have this adapter on hand in case I needed it and I did. The campsite I stayed in last fall had the 30amp connector broken from somebody pulling the cord out and I could not connect to it. This worked perfectly. The male end is pretty big with the handle so the door would not close on the box, but that was ok with me.
Leigh Brown –
Maybe bigger than it needs to be but the big handle is somewhat useful. Works great no problems.
Alex M –
When you need it you need it! If I ever need to connect my smaller RV to a 50 amp circuit this will work splendidly. Fair price from Amazon, which I doubt you can match out there in the field in a moment of need!
Samster –
Good product. Does what it supposed to do.
Spitfire –
Great quality and the price is unbelievable. I have seen this sort of thing at RV places for 50 dollars or more. It got me into the Last available (50 amp only) service spot this summer.
Bugalydosh –
Disclaimer: I haven’t used it yet (haven’t visit an RV park yet) but the quality looks and feels great.
Clay1234 –
A must have for a camper or rv. Easy to use and easy to store with power cord.
Jeff P. Fisher –
Good value for the price. Works as advertised
avery –
Llike the handle for a 50 amp plug in. If you are a RVer this is a must
Good Auntie –
Awesome product, great service, well packaged. Would buy again, no issues. I expect this to last a very long time.
Elaine –
We are able to connect our camper to our household power prior to going camping so we can operate the refrigerator. We haven’t tried running the A/C unit with it. It works well running off of a generator as well. The pull handle is easy to grab and use. This is a great product to have in your RV camping equipment.
Aaron –
Used on my airstream Basecamp 20x so that I could run the air conditioner from a standard 110v 15a power outlet abs it works great!!!
David F. Moon –
Arrived promptly and works as described. Good pricing – adapter converts house 120 VAC plug to 120 VAC camper power plug. Hookup allows setting up popup camper and running AC unit during off season. Well please with purchase.

THIS PLUG HAS A TIGHT FIT, EASY TO HANDLE, EASY TO SEE, AND LAYS ON TOP OF THE TIRE PERFECTLY, SO IT ISN’T DIRTY WHEN YOU HAVE TO UNPLUG
Cajun –
Like most rv owners, I quickly discovered the OEM 50 amp cord placed a significant amount of stress at the outlet built into the coach. This device is exactly what I hoped it would be. This 90 degree adapter filled the bill. I no longer stress over ‘how long will this factory outlet’ last? Strongly recommend rv owners consider this 90 degree adapter. The receptacle is injection molded, tight fitting with a threaded ring to ensure proper contact with the OEM outlet.

The Camco 18″ Dogbone is very well made!!Extremely heavy duty! This works perfectly for hooking up your RV to various camprground service. Please not this does not work with the older style RV cords. The actual plug is different.
Big Pete –
the 90 degree angle helps relieve stress on the cable. Locks tight. No wiggle. Locks to original cable as well. Perfect.
Changes In Altitude –
Have saved us from possible power surges in our RV 3x in 4 weeks on the road. So thankful we bought this.
John Lindsey –
So far it is more than I expected. I am just shy of 67 years old and I can can clearly see and the bright orange id so perfect. It fits snug, is easy to find and use. A++++++
Jennifer L –
Really convenient if you wanna just cool down the refrigerator before you leave for a trip. Keeps the batteries charged and didn’t heat up the line or my extension cord
Amazon Customer –
Worked as advertised
Voelker –
Exactly as described. Wrong for my application but it’s what it says it is. I messed up on ordering it.
Sokcap48 –
Well built have used all summer with no problems. What I really like is the large handle, makes it easy to pull apart. This was much less expensive than buying from an RV dealer.
Gerald S. –
Very good quality. Hopefully we will not need it, but if we do, we will have the necessary accessory to plug in our Motor Home for an over night stay at a camp ground. Our Motor Homes uses 50 amps, however, we may run into a situation where the camp ground only has 20 amp.
Big Cheese –
Works as described. The adapter is well made and easy to use.
Trevor Hill –
Just as expected great quality just like all there other products.
happycamper –
Really easy to plug and unplug our rv power cord into this adapter.
JOSEPHJOSEPH –
I didn’t even know about something like this until watching the YouTube channel I like called “I Love RV Life” which has several great videos regarding many useful RV accessories, such as this one from Camco. From his videos and website I located and ordered this 90-degree 50-amp short extension dog bone for connecting our 5th wheel. Now, anybody who owns one knows those 50-amp cables are on the heavy side, so I do think having a 90-degree connection would be less stress on the RV’s electrical connection point than the cable going straight out and pulling down. This extension connection is very well-made. My only issue was the plastic insulation part that connects to the RV itself didn’t line up 100% on the prong with the angle attached from the RV and it had to be forced just a bit to fit on correctly. After a few connections later and it is now working much better and this model does have a ring to tighten and lock on the adapter. As shown in my photo I wasn’t to sure on the water shedding abilities of the connection from the 90 degree extension to the stock cable, so I improvised a rain guard with a plastic bag. The connection might be fine but since there was no overlap I wasn’t going to trust it that some water couldn’t seep into the connection with rain at our site. Other than mentioned, I am very happy with the purchase and this adapter. I have since seen a couple of other adapters available, one longer than this one but I do like that this model is straight down where others I’ve seen are more at an angle away from the straight down to a curve down along the side of the RV.

Just what I needed. I was heading someplace that only had 50 amp service and my old trailer is a 30 amp. This cord is just the right length to get out of the box but not be laying on the ground. The little handles make it safe and easy to plug/unplug.
Adam –
I use this when at home and need to use basic lights or pre-cool the refrigerator before a trip. I also like to use it when cleaning the trailer after a trip so I can run lights or fans. Great addition for your camper.
J. G. Wright –
I’ve been using a less expensive 15A to 30A cable with a standard 15A male connector, and having to play games to keep it from pulling out of the outlet. The switch to this cable has removed all of that futzing around – just plug it into the wall socket and forget about it. TOTALLY worth the cost.
Tracy L –
for the price – made well
Stephen Kelley –
Saw this in an rv park on a 5th wheel. I don’t know why manufactures don’t make the cords ends like this in the 1st place. Takes the strain off the main cord. Works awesome! I have a Grand Design Solitude with 50 amp and fits and works perfect!
Darren –
Fits my camper’s 50amp outlet perfectly! Exactly what I needed.
McGregors –
This a sturdy, well-built adapter. The flat 15/30 adapter that came with our travel trailer can be very awkward to use with a 15 Amp outlet. The short cord on this one makes it much easier.
Alicia Baker –
Reduces 50amp To 30 amp. Works great. Good quality
Yashi Kothari –
I bought this to be able to plug in a 30 Amp machine used in the kitchen and this did served the purpose. Am using this since a few months without any issue. I highly recommend this product.
Martin Main –
Now I am ready for all electrical power situations at RV parks and resorts as well as Mooch-docking in friend’s and family’s driveways.
Prime Fan –
We needed this for a recent camping trip and it worked great!
Keith Fischer –
Works like it should.
Travis –
Great !remember though it is 30 amp but rated for 1875 watts.
GeoHano –
Worked as intended for my purpose. No issues with the quality at all.
scotty –
only used a short time, but sems like a good product.
Mark Dundas –
Easy to install and it seems like it will do the trick. I have had no problems with it so far. Makes life easier when setting up the camper. It also relieves the stress on the cable.
JPatrick –
Good products
AGR –
Worked exactly as required. Some power pedestals, If using with surge protector, you may find this adapter to be a bit long. This can cause your surge protector to be close to or forced to lie on the ground. No big deal with a litle bit of cord management. Just make sure to plan accordingly.
Karen Westover –
Liked every thing about it
May –
Perfect
mother.jeni –
This was perfect for our needs. The handles seemed superfluous when I was ordering, but they really make this easier to hook-up and UN-hook. We just bought our RV this spring, and we have purchased most of our items from Amazon for it, and have yet to be disappointed.
Justin Glover –
Really good quality dog bone. Heavy duty with bright colors and sweet handle.. I reccomend for sure.
Justin –
Easy to use, works great. The bright yellow was actually pretty nice considering my first trip using this product, I arrived at the campground in the dark and it was raining. Seems silly, but the bright color made it just that much easier to find in my storage compartment and helps it stand out in the dark when walking around my trailer. It rained the entire camping trip and the adapter worked great the whole time. No complaints, great price, seems to be built well.

It appear to be better built than one I had a few years for another RV.
Junior Mink –
What can you say it’s a PLUG..!! It’s a good quality sturdy adaptor I use on my RV and I would purchase it again…
Bruce Kennedy –
This dog-bone is standard equipment for any 50 AMP RV. There will be times when only 30 AMP service is available and you will need this adapter. Many parks charge extra for a 50 Vs 30 AMP connection and if you don’t need to run the air conditioning you can opt for the less expensive 30 AMP service and save the cost of buying the dog-bone with a week of use. This is one rugged device. I love it!

If you need one of these, you know what they are. This allows us to plug our camper into a normal extension cord when cleaning it out in the driveway, etc. This is a very sturdy plug. The handle makes it much easier to get the camper wire loose when you’re done. Good deal.
Ryanallie1 –
Hi All. I had to replace my old Dogbone Adapter, do to its melting on a 15 AMP Power Supply. This one is “Very Heavy Duty”, and much “Thicker Wire”. I also like the easy to Remove Handle, which my old didn’t have. I don’t need it to often, as I do mostly all Boon-Docking. Been a Traveler and RV’er & Motor Homer for 55 years now. From Dan & Austin ( My Yorkie ). We are Full-Timers, and True “Spirits of the Wind”

I’ve read the reviews both positive and negative before buying and the negative reviews were not helpful. This product works as designed and I’ve included a video to show those who are considering this product how it looks. This product works great I have not had any trouble with it. I have a an outlet at my house and I’ve been using this non-stop for about a month now. It works great and I’ve used it twice camping as well. Worth the money.

Glub-Glub –
My old 30 ampere to 50 ampere pigtail got fried by an iffy socket at an RV park. My RV actually takes 50 amperes. The RV has a load-shedding feature, so it won’t draw more than 30 amperes when connected to a 30 ampere pedestal. The load-shedding keeps the current draw right at 30 amperes. I can verify that this pigtail can take an extended 30 ampere draw. This pigtail is easy to connect and equally easy to disconnect; it is the first one that I have ever used with “handles” and I like that feature. The orange connectors are molded to the cable. I expect that this is going to last.

I Bought This To Add To My RV Cord Because The End Of My Cord Was Worn Out, So instead of Replacing the whole cord at $160.00 I just needed the rubber part where it screws on. This worked out perfect. this is one nice adapter. it was well worth the price and was a great bargain. This is one heavy duty cord. Update!! have purchased my third one and these work out great , have got a new rv, to bad they don’t come with one on all new RV’S

It works as intended. Build and materials seem to be of high quality, meaning it should last for a long time. Great value and great product overall.

Handy connector with wonderful handles to keep your hands away from the connections. The grips allow one to really be able to pull hard on a connection to disconnect the line without fear of getting a shock. Heavy, durable, well-built. My kind of connector.

So my wife and I just bought our first camper. Been wanting to get into it for a while and finally took the plunge. We just got a little 19’ trailer for the first time, something just big enough for the two of us. Well when we brought it home, naturally we wanted to hook up the water and electricity to check everything out. So I just grabbed an extension cord and kinda jammed the plug in. Oops! Found out afterward that this is a very bad idea. Although it did work, I could have done some serious damage to the camper’s wiring. This adapter is what I should have used. Now I know. This thing is built like an M1Abrams tank! I can’t believe that they can sell these things for only $25 bucks. It’s heavy and coated with a thick rubber. Good solid plug. High vis yellow makes it easy to find in your storage compartments. Does its job perfectly.Highly recommendThanks for reading

This handy little “device” is great for protecting your RV power cord. It allows you to have your power cord to hang straight down instead of curving our from your unit which could, over time, cause damage to the cord at the plug. Plus, the attachment to the unit itself is made easier by the fact that this little thing has several protrusions that help you screw it into the RV. We bought the 50-amp one but there are also 30-amp ones available. Neat gadget!!

I have used to hook my 50 amp rv up to a 30 amp generator and a 30 amp shore power, it worked fine. It’s a little snug so it can be difficult to unplug the 50 amp side and that’s exactly how it should be. It has handles on both ends so that helps a bunch.
shrumjw –
This is a great addition to our camper, built to last, love the handle that allows easy install/ uninstall. One of the campgrounds we visit doesn’t have a 30 amp outlet that our camper has so we ordered this, our camp friends also like it since we no longer have to borrow theirs.
Marcus –
Works great. Don’t let water drip down it though. Kinda hard to avoid that unless it’s covered from rain. Remember that it’s only supposed to supply 110
misfitsailor –
Nicely made adapter. Handles an actual15 amps without getting warm. Recommended.
Mike –
We just traded in our travel trailer and purchased a 5th wheel. The new unit is 50 amp so we needed an adapter for the connection at my house and also if we stay at certain campgrounds.Originally priced this at some of the camping stores and it was more than double the price that it’s listed for here. We’ve already used it 4 times and the handles on each plug make it very easy to unplug when we’re ready to break down from our trip. The 180 degree turn on the plugs is a nice feature, the cables are twisted or strained when using this connection.Lights up when power is applied. Makes it easy to check with just a glance to see if we have external power. It seems to be well constructed and solid. We’ve only used it 4 times so far but if the build quality is as it appears, we don’t expect it falling apart any time soon.

I use this as a permenant connection between my house and trailer. I literally hangs on my fence in the wether 24/7/365. I take it down periodically and wipe if off but that’s about it. Works like a champ and still looks like new when cleaned. I have been the very definition of neglectful toward it and just keeps going.
JBA – Ohio –
Item was received as expected in good condition.
Ray Killen –
Nothing much to say about it. It works and that’s all anyone can ask of a wire and plug. That being said, I really like the yellow color of the plugs. It matches my eyes. The whole unit is really a handy, cute accessory. I’ve started taking it out with me as I roam around town. Boy does it attract the ladies. I’ve never been more popular.

I tried the ParkPower version first and it would not connect completely so went with this one. First one came with a broken black lock ring, so returned and got new on. Works great, however, after 6 months I broke the lock ring when hooking up. Not putting a lot of torque on it. Still works but doesn’t “lock” down. Wish it had the same type of connecting ring as the cord. Seems a bit sturdier.

I use a generator at my deer lease quite often. I’m a light sleeper so I like to have the generator moved away from my trailer, so I tend to stretch the cord a little. This makes it pull out of the plug. I bought this adapter and that solved the problem for me. It stays nice and tightly plugged in, and gives me peace of mind.
BamaMan –
Like that it is easy to use. Used to reduce 50 amp plug to 30 amp for RV.
P. J. Dodd –
This was A GIFT. I am not using it.
Paul C. –
My trailer came with a small adapter plug but it quickly wore out and became unreliable. This replacement adapter allows me to plug my pop-up trailer’s 30A plug into a 15A standard household circuit. It does not allow me to violate Ohm’s or Watt’s electrical laws! You’re not going to get 30 amps, about 3450 watts, out of a standard 15 amp (1725 watt) rated circuit. Plugging the RV in the adapter allows me to charge the battery, use the lights, get the freezer cold a couple days in advance of a trip and use either the AC or the microwave … but not both of these 1200 watt loads at the same time.In use I pull about 3 feet of my 30A cable out of the trailer, connect into the Camco power grip, and then pull into a heavy 14 gauge extension plug run from the house. I put the assembly up on one of the trailer’s wheels to keep it hidden and dry. I’ve used a permanent marker to put the trailer’s license plate number on the handle to make a thief think twice. The handle is a nice addition as it gives a good grip to pull out the large 30A plug from the trailer’s jack.

Works and has held up well to multiple uses. Must have for campers, some older parks only have 30amp plugs this is a great adapter. Better to have it and not need it then find yourself without it and having to pay higher campground, or specialty store prices.

Sometimes you just need to adapt to certain situations. This 15 to 30 amp adapter cable makes it possible to keep the basics going in my Class C. The power cable is well constructed and has an special spot in my rig.

What can I say its well made works & has not overheated ..yet, definitely thick gauge used 7-10 times on a Host 2020 Yukon camper, but crazy thing is I don’t think I really needed it but got carried away with (I MUST BE ABLE TO CONNECT ANYTHING ANYTIME!) THE CAMPER CORD IS MORE THAN ENOUGH & LOCKS, I really think this is for an older camper that has a hard to grip, or twist or plug in receptacle & maybe has some upgraded (modern’ components)so you want to have the gauge correct this is as large as you will need, so this will be a nice addition,

My trucker camper is 30 amp plug. Needed to connect to 50 amp outlet. This worked great. No worries about overload because the converter takes care of that to only use up to 30 amps.
HowieZ –
Great quality adapter, works nice, and plugs and unplugs easy with the nice bright plugs and handles. This is so much better than a single plug that may or may not fit in every box at every campsite.

Our brand new RV uses a 50amp service. Our old one was a 30amp model. Never had a problem at campgrounds because they almost all have 30amp supply. The 50amp sites can be few and far between sometimes, especially at the smaller campgrounds we prefer. I bought this as insurance and it paid off big only two days after I got it. Saved a whole trip to a remote lakeside campground that had only 30amp service on that side of the lake. Worked great and was easy to use. Feels solid and well made to me.

Great price appears to be well built. Allows me to plug my travel trailer to the house the night before we leave on a trip so the refrigerator can be nice and cold before we load it up saving me the need to bring a cooler along. Handle makes it extra easy to unplug..

Absolutely WONDERFUL!!!! This worked so well in so many different ways. It made for easier connection from the trailer to this then to the 50amp plugin. And then to the pole. It takes the stress off of the heavy 50amp cable that comes with the RVs of today…Where it plugs in to the trailer. It works great for us.

Well made, solved my cord stress issue. I did have to unscrew the 4 screws on the 5th Wheel connection and rotate it 1/4 turn to use it as intended.

This is a heavy duty dogbone. Makes a secure connection for the RV power cord so it isn’t in a 90 degree bind. Just what we needed.

Great value. Made well. So far has been plugged in to my house and camper for last 4 months. Happy with it.

I bought this connector to replace an old one that had become faulty and started to melt. RV electrical connections need to be solid, clean, and dry. Cheap parts are not worth frying your campers power supply. So I was willing to spend a few more dollars for better quality, and this new Adapter really is heavy duty and worth the money, IMO. The material is a heavy rubberized plastic instead of that cheap hard plastic, so if it hit the pavement, it wont crack or damage. I’ve been using it for a few months and so far, and it’s great. 🙂

I needed a short adapter for my truck camper and this works well. With this and a 15 to 30 amp adapter I can use my heavy duty extension cord instead of a heavy bulky 30 amp power cord. The locking adapter has a nice arrow to indicate the proper plug in position unlike my more expensive RV specific 30 amp power cord. The weather seals are very substantial and the locking ring actually fits well and screws on without the extra hassle and effort required by my old 30 amp cord. The 90 degree grip allows for easy install/uninstall and allows the cord to hang without adding additional strain to the power outlet. Very pleased with this and a great Amazon price also.

This adapter is perfect. The handle allows for connection to an extension cord and the thick cable matches the extension cord. Even the wall socket is small enough to allow the other connection on the wall plate to be used. Great adapter, now part of my RV kit.

This is a great plug, it puts almost no stress on the outside outlet on the side of the couch from the waight of the cord, the cord dont stick out past the sides of the couch and make a tripping hazard, easyer to install and remove not having to try to hold up and line up the heavy cord plug. IT IS A MUST HAVE FOR ME.

Excellent for plugging in your travel trailer at the house for cooling down your fridge the day before a trip or servicing anything that requires electricity. Converts 30 amp hook up into a regular 110 volt outlet. Wouldn’t recommend running the air conditioner for an extended period of time unless you have the proper size extension cord and stay within your a/c amp rating when hooked up at the house

Perfect for anyone who needs to convert from one plug type to another. Very well built and nice and sturdy for all those how have an RV and constantly having to change plug type while ion the road. I liked these so much I purchased other changer.

Wow, there is nothing cheap feeling about this cable or the other Camco I bought for my RV. Everything is completely sealed. This is way better then if you’d make your own using clam shell plugs and length of cable. Well worth the money, actually I would say it’s worth even more than what they charged.
devynatorsmom –
Like most Camco products, this offers innovation and great value for the money. I prefer these to the hockey puck style adapters because these are safer and easier to remove. Don’t forget your EMS surge protector (which I wish Camco would make).

This adapter works great and keeps the big 50 amp (6/4 gauge) cable closer to the RV and out of the way, plus it puts less force on the Marinco plug on the side of the RV. I had an issue with the adapter and Camco’s support was amazing.Highly recommended and the price was great.

This item replaced a nearly identical one that was badly burned by a poor connection (at the 50-amp socket.) When you have to connect a 50-amp system to a 30-amp power source this is a necessary component. May become a weak point if you push power limitations of the 30-amp source (which is what I apparently did.)

This is exactly the dogbone I wanted to take away the cord stress from my 50 amp cord plugging straight into the side of my camper and bending down at a 90 towards the ground. Good quality, properly wired, easily installed, and prevents premature wear on my 50amp cord. One problem I read in the reviews was the disclaimer that this should not be used in rain or inclement weather due to water intrusion risk. In the frequently bought together section, I found and bought Weld-On 80427 Slik Seal Plumbers Grease, 1 oz, and slathered it on both sets of threads prior to installation to water proof it as best as I could and feel confident that it will hold up (I used a good finger swipe of the stuff on both sets of threads and have plenty left over for my toilet blade, whenever that starts to leak).

This product is an economical solution for relieving the stress that the standard, straight, 50 amp power cord which came with my fifth-wheel trailer.Pros:Fairly economical fix for stress caused from the standard straight cord’s orientation and weight.Quality of product is very good.It showed up on my doorstep, with fast delivery. It does exactly what I wanted to accomplish.Cons:Your connecting receptacle on the trailer may not be oriented correctly (rotation-wise) for the power cord to hang straight down, and may need to be adjusted by unscrewing it and re-installing to obtain the proper configuration. (I was lucky, as my connection was plug-and-play orientation-wise). It is not terribly difficult to change the connection to make this work, but be aware that you may have to do it.It is possible to twist the adapter in the trailer receptacle too far, and too hard, which can damage or break the portion of the connection that is part of the trailer. Use a gentle touch when plugging it in to your rig!

Great produce to take the weight and stress off the 50 amp shore power cable for our RV. Like others mentioned, had to adjust the rotation on the trailer to allow the adaptor to plug in and hang properly. Well constructed. Should last for years.
Joe J. –
I have this 90*, 50 amp cord connector and the 90*, 50 to 30 amp cord connector. They Both work perfectly to eliminate the cord stress. I would suggest/recommend for those that might have “Clocking” issues… you Re-Clock the Receptacle on your RV ? The issue is probably not CAMCO’s.. It could very well be… the way the Manufacturer installed your Receptacle during the construction/build.. of your RV ?

Perfect for connecting my travel trailer with 30 amps to the standard house current and the 180 degree bend helps a lot.
Frank E. Trinkle –
This is the perfect adapter to using house current to power your 30Amp RV at home. We use it primarily to pre-cool our refrigerator and freezer for a day prior to taking the RV out on a trip. It also allows us to power up outlets in the RV to use vacuums, and tools internally as long as everything is kept under 15 amps consumption. The Adapter works very well and the build is very robust which gives us a warm fuzzy feeling using it. The 180 degree bend is also very helpful. I cannot find a single negative about this adapter…it is exactly what it is supposed to be!This is a very easy Five Star rating, and an honest and very hearty recommendation! A++

So far so good. I bought this to take the stress off my 50 amp cord. The way our RV is set up, the cord sticks straight out, and you could tell this would be a problem after awhile. This took the stress off the cord and allowed it to hang properly (this should have been included in the set up package). I have zero complaints about this cord.

Very heavy, nice grip handles for safety. Great product. I had to plug our second RV into the welder plug, just what was needed.
Matthew Smith –
Never know when will need an adapter. Works great, plugs are firm but not tight. Little bit of wiggle to unplug. Built in handles are nice touch. I gave “water resistance a 3, as with any plug, (unless there is a water resistant / proof cover), if lying in a puddle, wouldn’t recommend it. If expecting rain, plan accordingly to keep receptacles above the water / covered.
W. B. Phillips –
Better yet, get two. That way, when your brother steals the one you are using, you have a back up. These are invaluable.

Works good. The 15A side energizes both legs of the 50A side (which is what I hoped for).

Bought this for two reasons, I leave my camper on 120 a lot, and was using the stubby one piece adapters which kept heating up and getting destroyed. I ran my lights and A/C unit for almost a full day and neither end heated up at all.The other reason is the 90° which makes it sit better when plugged into an outdoor 120 which reduces fatigue on the camper 240 cable as it allows it to lay flat on the ground with no double “bend” if the outlet is low enough.I thing the thin wire that connects the male to female on the one piece stubby adapter is what caused the heating, I’ll see how it does after a week.

This seems to be a well-made hose and one I’m going to appreciate having. I appreciate the “adapter” so I can hook it up with the power cord either direction as well as the insulative covers for both ends. Haven’t had to use it where I was allowed to leave it attached yet but I’m thinking it will work well.

A lifesaver for those times when you call an RV park and reserve a site with a 30 amp hookup, and arrive, only to find the site has a 50 amp-only pedestal. Heavy-duty construction, and it does the job.
Elio C –
Our RV is a 30AMP, but always smart to have a 30-to-50 AMP in those situations where 30 is not offered. This adapter has helped us on several occasions, where a park only had 50AMP available during our stay. This product is practical and must have for us with 30AMP RVs.
David Bailey –
1998 RV had an old adapter that was failing. When I plugged it in there was always a sharp “spark” sound! This unit looks to be very well made and yellow so I will no longer lose it in the vast innards of our motorhome. I will get the 30-50 amp version to complete the set.
Average-Joe –

Use it frequently when I go to my daughter’s. I park my RV in front of her house and hook up to her electricity with this. I wrap the connection in plastic if it is calling for rain, but that is my over caution. So far it is holding up well,

Perfect for providing power to our Cl B RV as we prepare for camping, as we can plug it into any outlet in our garage. Could also be useful when visiting friends, to provide power while parked at their place. Compact, well made, and inexpensive.

Works great. This was used for my home to camper outlet. It will convert for most with enough power to open awnings and lights. I don’t believe it’s strong enough for my camper to run ac or fridge off of it. Definitely useful.

I got this so I could plug in my rv at home to a 15 amp outlet (with a 30/15 amp plug adapter). It does the job just fine. I can now, if needed, also connect my 30′ 30 amp extension cord onto the end of my 50 amp service cord for a total of 55′.
Sally –
The 90 deg connection is much better to strain relief on the 50 amp cord.
db –
Works just as you would expect. It looks and feels like a well made product. Some electrical box covers are too tight to close completely on the handled head. So far this hasn’t been an issue for me. It keeps you from having to use the frequently worn out 30 amp sockets in many campgrounds.
Carolyn S.Carolyn S. –
OK, so I buy this to use on my camper, while camping – you know, like OUTDOORS! The description on the website states “heat resistant PVC sleeve that serves as protection from outdoor elements” in two different places. Then I get the product and the label on the product shows a red circle with a slash through it with the plug and raindrops inside the circle and it says “DO NOT USE WHEN WET.” So, I’m supposed to run outside everytime it rains and unplug my electric so I can bring the adapter inside!!! Why is this important tidbit not mentioned anywhere in the description online?? I know I can probably find some kind of cover but this should be mentioned in the description so you know what you’re getting because there are others out there that are waterproof and I would have chosen one of those.

If you have a RV this is a must have. I saw all the RV service departments use these while rigs are in for service. It lets you use standard 120v 20amp to power your rig while at home. I bought this item last minute because the rv sight we rented for a few days was set up for 50 amps. Our rv was only 30amps. To my surprise it came in one day with enough time and comfort to make sure our trip would not start out with a hiccup.Very easy to attach and the connections did not get out while exposed to the heat. My only concern would be rain. Something with a water proof cover would be better but this is what I paid for and I am happy.

This is a must for anyone new to trailering. It convert your trailer power adapter to house electric plugs. Adapter worked perfectly, since I bought the replacement plug end with the same handle, I was able to zip tie the two connectors together to prevent tampering at the campsite, since the cord can be pulled out of the bottom of the outlet box. Works great! Recommend!

I got this to connect to a Furion RV plug I installed on my van. The “twist lock” function does not work but I don’t know which part is at fault. Fortunately, the threaded ring keeps the connection secure but the dogbone does not hang straight down because you cannot “twist” the mated parts. As long as it reliably gets power to my van, I can live with that.
Julie & Doug –
We just traded up to a 50 amp 5th wheel trailer. When we plug in the power cord it bends at a 90 degree angle putting stress on the cord. We purchased this and now my husband (the electrician) is much happier with the way the system fits together. We did have to turn the outlet on our trailer 45 degrees so that the adapter would lock into position but that was just the way our trailer was set up and was not a big issue for him to do. Excellant purchase, works exactly like we hoped and will extend the life of our power cord by eliminating the stress on the cord.

I bought this to connect my 3100 watt champion inverter generator (115v only) to my house backup system. I connected this to the outdoor 50A entry point via a 10 foot 50 amp extension cord with male end matching the female end of this product. My chief concern since I’m using a 115v generator was whether both hot legs of the female end of this item are connected in common to the single hot leg of the male end. In short, they are, and it works for my purpose. In practice, what this means is that both legs of my house system are heated up to 115 volts relative to the neutral, and 0 volts relative to each other, which makes all 115v receptacles in the house safely hot with 115 volts, and all 230 volt devices cold as no voltage potential across them is present. If you’re trying this, be cautious about dual voltage devices such as your range or dryer that might have 115 volt electronics with the main load being 230 volts. It’s possible they won’t like this arrangement. Also, it should go without saying, but if connecting your house electrical system to a generator, you MUST ensure the house is disconnected from the power grid via interlock or transfer switch to prevent potentially lethal injury to linemen.

Keeps power code close to the body of the RV and aims the power cord straight down to the ground. Not sure I buy the argument that it puts less stress on RV outlet as the weight on the RV outlet is the same or a little more due to the added weight of the adapter. Someone else will have to calculate weight X mass X angle. But it looks great and securely attaches to both RV outlet and 50 amp cord.

No matter how many promises you receive, there are going to be times when thirty amp 110 volt power is not available as promised. Then you are left wondering why that big cable will not connect to a 110v outlet or extension cord. Don’t give up hope, Camco comes to the rescue without you having to worry about purchasing the wrong plug adaptor.Just remember, your air conditioner takes thirty amps and if you try to use the air conditioner you are going to melt down everything from your power converter to your thirty amp cable. This really comes in handy to pre-chill your absorbtion refrigerator and freezer and make sure your storage battery has a full charge before going off on a trip.

This is extremely well made, high quality. I rented an RV and someone told me to get a 30 to 15 amp converter like this because the regular small converters are too hard to pull apart. I used it a couple of times last year. It is not “cheap.” It is well made and easy/intuitive to use. It is mostly peace of mind for me, but after hearing horror stories of what can happen to your trailer electrical system when you don’t have one, I bought it over others. I always wonder about water and electricity and not in a good way. My dad was an electricians mate on board ship in WWII and had horror stories about electricity and human beings and so, I don’t do electricity other than plugging things in. When camping, I usually cover the pole with a trash bag if any rain is in the forecast. That’s easy, eases my wondering, and you can use the bag when you break camp for trash instead of having to open the trailer cussing while you go find one. .

Great adapter for connecting that heavy duty 50 amp power cable to the connector on the side of your RV. Takes off the strain on the side mount and is easier to engage the water-proof ring. Orientation is correct on our Jayco 5th wheel, and is correct on every other unit that friends have (all 5th wheels from different manufacturers). Great price, since I have seen these same Camco adapters selling for up to $75 – $80, and other makes at $100 and more.
Harry Reckinrod –
I use this any time I have our trailer at home. It’s perfect for keeping the battery charged up while I work inside or get it packed for a trip. The 180 bend claim is true and we’ve successfully plugged in “upside down” while camping with 15A service.
Robin –
This was so easy to use and the large handles made it even easier! Worked perfect for our weekend camping trip to a Fiber Festival with my daughter!
G M –
Camco continues to impress me with their ability to produce a good quality product at fairly reasonable prices. And this is no exception. The handles are actually… handy. They make removal from a plug or outlet much easier. The contacts appear to be good quality and solid feeling. The 50amp side has solid contacts for taking a 50amp plug and holds the plug firmly in place. The conductor wire seems well suited for its rated current and does not get hot at all under load (like the previous one it replaced and many of the “cheapie” units do).Hint: Always make sure to use (a very thin layer of) dielectric grease on the contacts. This avoids arcing situations where the park receptacle is worn and loose inside. That will cause both the receptacle and plug to get hot, melt, and possibly start a fire.Dielectric grease arrests the arc and keeps that from happening.

Bought this for my 2021 Braxton Creek Bushwhacker teardrop trailer which takes 30A.I have used it many times already and no problems at all so far. Very happy with my purchase.
Shane –
Works perfectly for running the A/C in our RV while parked in our driveway. We also run interior lights and TV while A/C is running without issue while plugged into a standard 15amp outlet in the garage. I haven’t tried to run anything else to see exactly what it takes to trip the breaker but I know the single A/C, lights and tv work well together.
Kelly –
Not much to say other than:1. It works as advertised;2. It arrived on time and well packaged;3. It’s the EXACT version you can buy in professional camping stores (like Camping World).4. The handle is a nice feature and it seems really durable.

This is a nice addition to have for my travel trailer. Makes it easier on the use of the 50amp cord and less pressure on the actual hookup on the side of the trailer.
Alnie –
The product is good

This is a perfect 50 amp 90 degree adapter to plug your RV cord in so it won’t be in a strain sideways. This is just what I was needing for that to take that pressure off. This is heavy duty and the price is very reasonable.
Beth M. –
great for running “most” of your requirements if you need 50 amp. WAY BETTER than boondocking when you need a place any they only have 30 amp.Al;ways great to have options.

Nice product. My camper electrical connection is at the back of my camper just as you walk around the corner. It seemed that everyone walked into the wire protruding from the connection. Now it hangs down nicely and doesn’t have the tension on it from the weight of the wire. 50 AMP hookup? I would suggest this if in your budget.
Lauren –
Just what we needed. Some parks have a beat 30amp plug and a new 50amp plug. You want a good connection, always good to have options!
FLOWTEC –
I think this would work great out at the campsite. However, I bought this for use within my garage when I hookup my trailer from outside. Just seemed to be very bulky. I know this has to do with how rugged it is made so I can’t fault it for that. Overall, a very good heavy duty plug.
cobra00 –
Decent quality, fair price
J. Standley –
Works great. I am running some shop tools that normally trip the breakers in the garage. With this I can plug them in and they run with no problem. It saved me from having to run a new box into the garage just for occasional use of a few machines.
Danny –
We use this to attach the 30A twist lock plug on our motor home to standard 120v receptacles at our home and when visiting relatives. This reduces the current available to 15A but can be used if you’re careful with what high current items in the motor home you run at the same time.
Bernie H –
This is so much better for my older straight power cord. It keeps the cord from bending and runs downward.
reddi2go –
Extremely well made and much cheaper than purchasing from RV store.
Rotti Momma –
Fixed our issue of having a bent cord going into the main plug in our rv.
AZ Hunter –
This works flawless on my Jayco. No issues at all. Camco made another affordable quality product

I may never need this, but I do not want to be somewhere and not have it if needed.

We’ve only used it once now, but it worked great when we used it.
Edward A. Hamilton –
This is a 50A to 30A dogbone. I didn’t really think I needed one but various RV forums recommended having one just in case (usually a well worn 30A power post at the campground). On my latest trip in Utah, the campsite had only 50A available in the pull thru sites so I put it to use. This thing appears to be indestructible. I especially like the pull handles rather than grasping the plug. I recommend.

Dave –
This guy gets used everyday! Our 5th wheel is a 50amp and our inverter generator has the 30amp outlet. It has stood up to our daily plug in/unplug use for over a year. Never gets hot and all the connectors are still tight as day one. Can’t go wrong with camco
Bookumdanno –
This works great. It will take the strain of the camper plug and the power cord camper connection.
Clayton Allen –
The dogbone mated well with my trailer power cord and the 100 outlet. The connectors are strong and the cable is large diameter. Works well for temporary connection to a residential power outlet to clean the trailer and do maintenance.
Aaron –
This “dog bone” did what it is supposed to do for 3-4 uses. I hooked up to my 30 amp outlet and I had no power in my 5th wheel. The first place i put my volt meter was on the shore power side of my transfer switch. I was getting 240 volts on both “hot” lugs and the “common” lug instead of 120 respectively. I then testes my outlet, which passed (120, 120 and 0). I then tested the “dog bone” while plugged in (240, 240, 240) which is really bad! I then unplugged the “dog bone” and did continuity testing. One of the 30 amp prongs is somehow connected to the 50 amp common and a hot socket and the other 30 amp prong is as it should be to just one 50 amp socket. The common, regardless of being 30 or 50 amp should never be “hot”! I can at this point, since this “dog bone” once worked, that the wires inside shorted out causing this failure. As a result the shore power relay on my transfer switch is now welded in the “closed” position rendering it useless. So I just $174 plus my time replacing that. At this point I am not cutting into the “dog bone” to investigate in hopes of a warranty claim. If my claim is denied, I will post a video of the failure as well as what I find inside. What did I learn? ALWAYS perform a continuity test on products like this and/or similar prior to each use to prevent damage, or WORSE, an electrical fire!!!

This is a much-needed product for those 50 amp RV’s just in case you can only get a 30 amp site. Seems well built and the handles make this thing easy to use. I think it was worth the money.
Spinmaster –
A solid and well constructed adapter. The 180 degree opposing orientation of the ends is very nice. The handle should make pulling the plug from the outlet box a snap. Looking forward to trying it on our new fifth wheel this summer!
Sam & Dianne Walls –
Both ends attach easily. This is not a cheap lightweight adapter. Good price and fast shipping from retailer.
Julie W –
It works great and Amazons price on it is a little cheaper then my local rv store. Plus I like the option it has with the handle it makes it easier to detach from the rv after they have been connected several weeks! I personally can say I highly recommend this product it is a quality built plug well built! Now go RV!
tgoranson –
great value for the $
Jeff Hauser –
A must-have adapter for the camper/RV. It never fails that your camper has a 30-amp connecter and the family you are staying with only has a 50-amp circuit for you to use. This makes it a breeze. I carry this as well as other adapters so I can got just about anywhere and get connected to power.
John –
Just what I needed. I was heading someplace that only had a 110 hookup. This cord is just the right length to get out of the box but not be laying on the ground. The little handles make it safe and easy to plug/unplug.Great product, very quality. Perfect for our trailer to use at various campgrounds. This cost about 1/4 of what they sell for at the trailer dealership and popular camping stores!
Jordan Gross –
They were discounted and I got a spare. Great quality. I’m sure it will last many years
arjayess –
We recently couldn’t get the campsite we wanted because it only had a 50 amp connection. With this adapter we won’t have that happen again. The cable and plugs are strongly built and the handles help when plugging and unplugging. Good product.

This adapter is much better quality then my previous one. I use it to convert my motor home 30 Amp cable to 15 Amp so I can plug it in at home. Seems like it’s very well built and solid construction. The handle makes it easier to unplug as well. I would buy again!
L.J. –
Bought and gave this to my mom when we had to share an RV spot with another person who took the 30 AMP plug in and all that was left was the 50 AMP, luckily someone loaned us their adapter because she didn’t have one. What a convenience it is to have something like this in case you need it. The price was great!
A.Walker –
Takes the strain off the receptacle and keeps the cable closer to the camper so it is less likely to trip you too.
Crystal Ward –
I ordered this for my RV so that I could plug into a regular electrical outlet at home. I also got a heavy duty extension cord to use with the adapter. My RV is set up as 30 amp. I plugged the RV cord into the adapter, then plugged the adapter to the new extension cord, and then plugged the extension cord into an exterior outlet on my house. It worked great and I was able to charge my RV house battery and run the RV air conditioning while parked in my driveway at home. I’m happy with the adapter!

It’s for a 30 Amp RVer living in a 50Amp world! Many campgrounds, and especially RV Parks are switching to 50A service. This allows me to plug in the 50A box and it automatically splits the service to give me my 30A. I don’t use it at every stop of course but it’s there when I do need it. One of those “should-haves” for my RV.

When they say ‘heavy duty’, they are serious. We bought this to chain next to our 50-amp box in case one of our renters forgot their converter. So far so good.

Works excellent for truck campers

It was not what I was looking for as I required opposite end type.Look closely I made mistake assuming it was common standard
Dana A. Crosby –
I thought we were going to have to hire an electrician to make a special outlet for our RV. This converter was a steal at $25 and no more running the generator in the driveway! Also, we can visit friends and family without needing a special hookup or running the generator and annoying the neighbors! This is an RVers necessity!
Chevy55 –
Just what I needed to plug my motor home in at my house.

Works great, does what it’s supposed to, but at an excellent price point!
Matt S –
Great value, works well. I was able to use a traditional 110v extension cord from house to RV and still run 15,000 btu AC, even w this power reducing adapter. Recommend for anyone needing to use a regular outlet to supply power to 30 amp RV.
millertime –
I wanted a short adapter for use in the driveway. This adapter converts my 30/50 amp plug to a very short manageable 110V. What I really like about it is the plug connecting to the camper is at a 90 degree angle. It is not putting a ton of stress on the RV connector. I also purchased a HD 25′ 12 gauge extension cord to plug into the house. The other nice thing is, the color, it’s bright yellow. It is very easy to spot day or night on the camper or laying on the ground.

Andrew Etheridge –
Not a whole lot to say about this. It does exactly what it is supposed to. I just can’t believe I waited this long to buy it. The stress it takes off of the RV receptacle is great. The fact I get another couple feet of extension isn’t bad either!
Herman Cameron II –
Works great I have had no issues

plugged it in and pow there is power to the camper just as i wanted.
Peg Stone –
boy we love this little gizmo. It allows us to hook up the electrical connection on our Sprinter RV easily, and without stressing the power cord. We find that the outlets provided, as well as at home, are often positioned so that the cord has to be twisted to get into place, often pulling on the plug so that it can be dislodged and cut the power. Wit this little doggone, and its flexible cord: problem solved!
Nicholas Moore –
Exactly as described, the perfect backup when the 30 amp outlet is faulty at the campground.
Robert S. –
Awesome great quality!
Brenda –
Good quality. Does just what I wanted it to. Give me an extension and flexibility.
Gary G. –
It does what it is supposed to reducing the stress of the connection to shorepower. Why the factory supplied cable doesn’t have a right angle plug already is beyond me. I have no negative comments.

Seems to be a well made product. Bought this after my mom tried to run her rooftop a/c unit with the old adapter. Do not try that! Not sure why the breaker in the garage didn’t trip but it severely melted our old adapter.

Some of the newer RV parks are now 50 amp only. This item is necessary if your rig is 30 amp. Like a first aid kit, essential when needed.
Timothy Kaups –
Used once, very pleased! I bought this since I use a Honda Inverter for “dry” camping, and didn’t like the stress the small power converter puts on the Inverter outlet. This works perfectly so far.

Hooking up power to our RV, I sometimes worry that it’s going to arc and shock me, but having a handle to keep my fingers away from the connection puts my mind at ease. I was skeptical because of the price but when I opened the package I was very pleasantly surprised with the quality. This looks like it’s going to last us for years.
jungletaz2000 –
Good and sturdy just a little difficult to screw in but not complaining very good quality impressed

Very sturdy. I have 3 travel trailers for work and only one is 50 amp so this is great for my house 30 amp plug. Half the price of local rv store
John M Roberson –
This is complete overkill for my purpose. I needed to convert an audio amplifier from a 30amp plug to a 15 amp plug and buying connectors and wire was more expensive than getting this adapter. This is well engineered with heavy duty wire and connectors. I would have no issue using this to manage an RV hookup. You’ll probably burn up the outlet long before you burn up this adapter.
Nathan Hrinko –
I’ve only used it twice so far but the construction of it is solid. The grip on the back of the RV hookup definitely makes a difference.
Steve Steinberg –
Does the job and is affordable.

“IF” you were to find yourself left with a 50amp site, and your camper is 30amp….this reducer SAVES you…..I highly recommend…..and highly recommend an extension cord as well (I personally ran into the unfortunate circumstance of needing one…thankfully was able to find and purchase)

Love the pull handle on the female side. allows me to separate the cord with ease. Also the male end fit in our outdoor dry plug cover without compromising the weather resistant cover.
kakrakacs –
Simple self explantiory instructions and if not see videos. Love in RVs and these are by far superior to all others
Patrick W. –
Product was as described. It was a nice tight fit so that the plug will not fall out. Plugs are also oriented so that the short cord points down when the 15 amp is connected to the wall (when outlets are oriented with the ground prong at the bottom as they usually are) allowing the adapter to hang nicely from the 15 amp connection even when the heavy 50 amp cord is attached.
S. Gwin –
Worked out perfect for me. I needed a 90º plug on the 15A side. This was the answer.
PJ –
Does what it’s supposed to do-30A to 15A. fyi: only use with 30 amp extension cord! If ya use with regular (orange) extension cord, you’ll be buying both of them again. Also recommend use with surge protector.
Mark –
Excellent quality. The handle is a great addition to help separate the cords. Can you do it without the handle, sure. But this does make things easier. The cord is thick and well insulated. The connections are secure and firm, not going to slip out when you least expect them to. I will buy another in the future if the need arises.
Mollie Stevens –
Ran into a camp spot that had no 30 amp connection. A friend had this so I borrowed it for the weekend. Bought one as soon as I got home. Have needed it twice since then. Handy to have when you need it!
CMANLEYSPY –
Bought this because I wanted to be able to plug my 21 foot travel trailer into my house so I could run the fridge overnight to allow it to get nice and cold before leaving on a trip. So far so good 👍🏻 I’m even able to run the trailer’s 13,500 BTU air conditioning unit without any issue. This is an incredibly handy piece of equipment to have with you wherever you go just incase there are no 30amp/50amp hook-ups. Of course, be smart about the load you put on the circuit. Typical 110 (20amp) outlets are NOT meant for heavy loads.

Gotta give it 5 stars, because it worked perfectly. My 30amp trailer stayed at a park that had 50amp service. I plugged my existing 30amp cord into this dogbone connector and plugged it into the 50amp service. Worked out perfectly for me.
Bob –
Works great – I recently camped at a race track and it only had 50 amp connections (no 30 or 20 amp). I added this to my collection of adapters in my travel trailer and was ready to plug in when we arrived and discovered the electric situation. Many of my neighbor campers were surprised and not ready for it. Of course the race track had these for sale but at double the price. Many had to make an unexpected trip to Walmart while I was enjoying the racing.

I needed a nice 50 to 15 amp dog bone adapter for my RV so I could plug my 50 amp RV into a standard 15 amp house receptacle. This one is very well constructed and works great. Obviously you need to be very conscious of not pulling in too many amps/watts when running this adapter. Always ensure you never exceed 80% of the rated circuit breaker you are on and you should never have any issues. I also recommend using at least a 12 gauge extension cord for this to ensure there are no issues from an overload.
Bob S –
Received this on time. Works fine but I wish the tail was a little longer.
Kimberly K –
You will need this for your RV. As all campgrounds are different, you need to make sure you can hook to power. You may need this to be able to plug into the power at the campsite.

What I needed to connect my T@B’s 30 amp 10′ cord to a 25′ 115 amp extension cord for household power. Well made, heavy duty. Will wrap connection with electrical tape for water resistance. Good price, good product, well pleased.
Valerie –
I am very impressed with how heavy duty this cord is. The cord and each end are very hefty and I love that the ends are bright yellow. It is easy to find in our RV storage compartment. We needed this adapter when we upgraded our coach, now we have a 50 amp cord and we have a 30 amp electrical box at home. I always plug in at home and start the refrigerator a few days before we leave on a trip, so this adapter will get lots of use. I think that this cord will last a long time because it is well made. I am very pleased with the purchase and the price was very reasonable. The quality is far better than I expected. I recommend this adapter with confidence.

I hated using the cheap little adapters on my trailer, especially since the power cord on the trailer is so heavy duty. This is a really well made adapter that should hold up forever, is a good match for the size of the power cable on my trailer, and provides a secure snug fit. Best adapter I’ve come across yet!

Does what it says. I did notice that mine, when connected to the trailer, hangs just past six o’clock.

This is a little longer than less expensive alternatives I’ve seen which can be good. Also has sturdy handles molded onto the plugs which is nice. Seems like it’s as good as it can be for 2 plugs with a little wire in between.I needed this when I pulled into a park site where the power post was 50 Amp and 20A only, no 30A – who knew there were such. In other words, pretty good thing to have in the locker of just-in-case things – that’s where mine is now.
