This inline water filter is easy to use. Husband uses it for pool/spa filling and likes it. Have purchased multiple times.
Mike McCarthy –
I bought it for car cleaning to reduce water spots. It did reduce them somewhat, and also easier to wipe the car dry. I did have trouble buying fittings to attach to my hose (I’m in Japan) but did manage to make connections.

To tell you the truth, I have no idea if it works. Ever since day 1 when we got our trailer we’ve been using these filters and so far so good. Don’t know about the taste, we don’t really drink the water from campsites, we pack in our own drinking water. I can say that from multiple camp sites both our shower/kitchen water has been clean. It’s one of those things, so long as I don’t see dirty/smelly water coming out of our faucets I’ll keep using these filters
John Long Jr –
These water filters are easy to use. I install where the city water attaches to the camper. Water taste better and it keeps any settlements out of the hot water tank and water system.Good price. Would recommend and buy again.
Erik Bledsoe –
I have purchased this product before and this time I purchased the 2-pack. I NEVER run water through my camper unless it goes through this filter first. I hate the expense of bottled water and also the space cases of water take up in my camper on trips. With these filters I can drink directly from the tap. I go to several different campgrounds and never know how great the water quality is, so these filters are a must. I will be a LONG TERM customer of these.
Deb Gotelli –
This RV filter I was recommended by Phil of Auto fanatic of YouTube. Our PPM of water in San Diego is 446. It reduced our 446ppm water to 164ppm which is impressive. I’m not getting the water spots when washing like I used to. I use it in conduction with my pressure washer. I highly recommend it.
Lee B. –
We’ve used this style of filter just over a year now for our rv travels. We average one weekend a month of camping. Zero issues that we can see using this filter. Generally, we don’t drink the tap water in the rv but I think it filters adequately based on the lack of smell/taste when brushing teeth, showering and washing dishes. Reasonable price for the product.

Not finding a better forum for my remarks, I am using this one to comment about the shipment of this particular item. The outer package was open when received. I would opine that the container, a poly bag was not the best choice for packaging. The tear strip made for easy opening was “unzipped” on one edge, implying somewhat careless handling at one or more points in transit. The item I ordered is fine and needs no replacement. The order was delayed in transit, but the delivery was adequately timely for me.

You’ve read all the reviews, and you’re thisclose to buying these filters. Consider a few other camping tips…Ground water is NASTY at most campgrounds. You’re probably smart and don’t drink the water from your faucet anyway (buy a case of bottled water at Sams or Costco for $4 and know you aren’t drinking parasites). BUT, in the event you want to cook or do like I do and accidentally drink water in the shower or while brushing your teeth, the safety reason, alone, is good enough to buy these.Couple of helpful suggestions:-I always place these right on the spigot at the campground, then attach my hose, which attaches to the trailer. I’ve seen others attached the hose, run to the trailer, then have the filter hang off the back of the trailer. Either way works.-Buy a Camco 90 degree elbow to attach your hose to the camper. It’s about $4 and keeps your hose from kinking from gravity pulling on the hose since it screws in perpendicular to the trailer. The elbow sticks out of the water inlet, then turns at a 90 degree angle, allowing your hose to connect to the trailer with no stress on the hose. This will extend the life of your hose. I use these Camco elbows on my home washer as well to lessen the stress on those hoses.-Buy a 30-50 PSI regulator for your hose. Heck, buy two. Attach this either at the trailer or the spigot (either way). I learned the hard way a couple of summers ago while I left the campground, only to have the water pressure too high for my camper, and a water line came loose and sprayed all over the camper. After you are done camping, rinse the nastiness out of the regulator. I’m always amazed at the gunk that’s in the screen on the pressure regulator. It’s easy to wash out right after camping vs. trying to get the crud out while dried up.-When you leave your camper for a day trip, etc., always turn off the water at the spigot. You don’t need what happened to me (above) happening to you (you should turn the water off to your clothes washer while you’re gone, too). Or call me a freak and ignore this. These filters are about $15-20 each at any store. Buy them on Amazon for a lot less. Use one for an entire season. Keep the caps while in use, so you can cap the filter while not in use (to keep bugs, etc. out). I DO drain the filter, then shake it, then leave it sitting upright so water can run out after each use.

It being advertised for water spots and good for car washing is a bit deceiving. Nothing in this filter actually removes Hardness in water. It removes some hardness through its activated charcoal and mechanical filtering but we’re talking about 10-20 ppm. If you’re trying this as a solution to hardness don’t waste your money.
MTR Fan –
First time for everything…but I am shocked! The description clearly says 4 pack, but we only received 3. Not the norm of what I have come to expect from Amazon. Otherwise, these filters work well for our camping needs, but you may be better off getting the singles. If they correct the problem I will adjust my rating. UPDATE: From 1 to 5 stars Camco stepped up…I just received my fourth filter straight from the manufacturer. They were also very pleasant to deal with…their customer service is as great as their product. These are the filters we always use on our camper! Thanks Camco

We filter our water on our coffee truck twice; using these filters and another filter that forms part of our espresso machine. The taste improvements since switching to this brand are quite remarkable. What we previously thought to be near-perfect water quality was actually nowhere near as good as it is with these babies. This is now a go-to water filter. We could not be happier.
Shopkeeper –
We use these a lot for camping. This particular paclage is a good value vs what retail cost is in my area. The filter is very easy to install off the water connection.
Samantha –
I bought this from Amazon on sale on prime day for a great price! I like these and typically but then from camping world so it was nice to see that I could just purchase from Amazon.
Sean W –
I don’t know if these filters even do anything. I use them because it gives me the psychological benefit of believing it’s removing all the stuff it says. I have a second filter under the kitchen sink. I don’t know how well they work but for the price, which seems reasonable, I’m guessing they help. I drink only distilled or RO water so this does not affect my drinking water unless I temporarily run out and make a coffee or tea without using distilled or RO. I mainly don’t want fluoride and chlorine in my water and that’s what these filters are supposed to remove.

Not the cheapest filter but I always know it will work. In 8 years of full timing, I’ve only had one break and that was my fault for not putting a flexible coupling between it and the faucet.I use a sharpie to mark the date of installation on the side so I know when to change it.
Zac –
I’ve been running a filter like this for ten years, and they always work well. I generally use one for a camping season, which for us amounts to ~25 nights of camping each year. When I winterize at the end of the year I throw it out, then open a new one in the spring. In some campgrounds you still get a little bit of chlorine taste in the water, but I’ve never felt like the water was lousy and never gotten sick. So I guess that’s an endorsement? 😀
Cheri1953 –
I saw someone using this type of filter While we were camping so I looked for it as soon as I got home. This was easy to use and definitely helped make the water taste better. We also used it to fill our camper , it kept the ‘hose’ taste out of the water. We could make a better cup of coffee and have a great glass of water where ever we go.
Spartan117 –
The best inline filters. I have tried 2 other brands. The others may look the same, but they ain’t the same inside. Trust me, I took em apart. Little things like how can I puts a screen filter on the input…the other brands we tried didn’t do that and they didn’t last very long. Basically, Camco makes better stuff.
Jennifer –
We bought these filters for our well spigot. The well spigot is used primarily for the main water source for our chickens and for our children’s sprinkler in warmer weather. I am so pleased with these filters! We no longer have to lug gallons of water from our house spigot back to the chicken coop and my kids don’t come into the house looking like Oompa Loompas from the iron in the well water. When our house water treatment system goes down we can even use these as backup to get some water from the well. Tried to post a picture of the filtered vs unfiltered water but cannot seem to figure that part out. Great product…highly recommend!!!
Jockodog –
Car wash filter for hard water. Cheap alternative to deionization systems. Must use with new garden hose that is used exclusively with your pressure washer so that you can eliminate water spots on your vehicles finish. Attach directly to spigot, then to new garden hose, then to pressure washer. Your old hose has mineral buildup from City/well water already inside which will not work.

This filter is awesome!!! I have my boat docked in an area served by city water, and it is absolutely horrible. Chlorine, sediment, metals, you name it. The worst water I have ever been exposed to in any place I have ever lived. The contaminants in the water were so bad that showering even left a thick waxy film on my hair, which I have never experienced before. This filter solved ALL my water problems. The water is clean and tastes fresh and pure, and my hair is back to washing squeaky clean again. I am so happy!

Our water is very hard and chlorinated. Washing cars, especially black always left water spots, and I’d have to go back over car with finishing spray which helped but didn’t always get it all off. Been wanting water filter, but didn’t want to spend that much so didn’t pull the trigger until I saw these. Figured if it lasted 6-12 months using only to wash cars it’d be worth it.Easy to install, screwed hose into it, then the water nozzle into it. Washed car – WOW. Not only no water spots but clearer shine. Never realized how much of a film the water contaminants left. For the cost these filters are a steal, highly recommend for washing cars!!

Recently moved to an RV Resort with bad, chemical taste in water and it was terribly hard and was leaving a scaly film in everything. Hubby bought these and they cut down considerably on that chemical taste. It doesn’t do much for the hard water, but we bought a separate system for that. Definitely recommend these filters. They go right into the water source. Easy least.
tbREFLECTIONS –
I use these bottle water filters for my 1500 gallon koi pond. I like the idea not having to use chemicals or water treatment to take out chlorine, etc. Also an added plus these water filters last for several months
David Lenz –
It is a small item but most important- If you drink the water, wash your teeth, and rinse your food, your life may depend on it. Changing the filter every 3 months is reasonable if used part-time. If parked a lot, still do it 3X a year. Normal maintenance that is overlooked.
Rose –
These are indispensable for us living full time in our RV. Every new town has different water. Some are so heavy in minerals and taste terrible. This gives us a more consistent tasting water. Additionally, filtering out the minerals helps to prevent build up of lime on the fixtures and shower.I highly recommend the 2 pack so one is always available. They do last a long time, even with daily use. When the water flow starts to slow down, we change the filter and prepare to order more. When we lived in an area with softer water, one lasted almost 6 months. Now living in an area with hard water, one lasts about 3 months.Compared to buying drinking water. This is a great deal. I would not travel without them.

Well made and a necessity for RV living. Since one cannot know exactly the quality of the water coming from the spigot at any RV site this filter works great. At one RV park – after a severe overnight freeze – I examined one of these on my neighbors spigot (he had left it attached right to the spigot overnight) and it froze his filter, splitting it open. So I could see all the filter material and charcoal which this packed with.Since I am fulltiming in my RV I will keep one of these filters in use until I detect the water flow through it slowing down. Then – time to install a new one. So a good price on this 2 pack is appreciated.
Mr. Saint –
Great filter and great price. Cleaned up the water at the campground I was at, immediately a noticeable difference.Update: I am going to replace my filter tomorrow (beginning of the quarter) and replenish the
Watts RV PRO-1000 OR M7002 10000 Grains Portable Water Softener
I added. The filter has worked well for four months (recommends replacing every three) and I have no complaints. I could leave it alone for a couple months still but I bet I will notice a difference with the new filter.

Love the product, so no problems there. Use it all the time to not pollute my camper with a bad fill up of H20.I believe the micron rating on this is not correct. The description states it is 20 microns where their own data sheet picture rates it at 100 microns. Other websites rate this at 100 microns as well. Not a big deal just a discrepancy. Can get the item at wally world for the same price without having prime.

We used these on a recent trip through Florida. Florida water has a tendency to have a little sulfur smell. Stayed in 6 different RV parks. The water filter did a great job making the water taste great.
Stingingfork –
I’ve used these on my camper for years without any problems and now since I gave my camper to my son I was trying to figure out how I could remove the minerals from the city rinse water for my vehicles. Not sure these will remove all of the minerals but I’m sure they will go a long way in improving the mineral spots after the water dries on my car and truck…. To have to build a separate filtration station was going to be an expensive method and may not work any better than these cartridges. It’s been raining off and on since I received these but later this week the weather will clear and should tell the story as to whether they will suit my purpose or not…..

We have used these on our camper for 22 years and never had any problems. Works great and does keep the odors and bad taste out of our water.
Mel & Gina –
Item is pretty standard in the camping world. We feel safer using them. Excellent quality. We use about one filter per camping season.
bookreader –
I started using these in my garden on a whim and over last year the yield is so much better, with the size of the vegetables and fruit as well as the overall appearance of the garden and surrounding plants that this has been used on. It also tried this when I washed my car and it works well here as well as it has reduced so of the hard water stains and help improve the quality of the water when washing the car. Oh yeah it also works like a charm in traveling with a RV and going from one source of water to another.
Laura –
Great product. Have used many over the years. A word to the wise though; I was caught in a cold snap at about 7000’ in SW Colorado and had one split on me. While I had disconnected my hose from the RV to prevent the freeze I left the filter and hose attached to the spigot. Evidently there was enough water trapped in the filter to cause to to expand to the point that it split badly and had to be trashed. Sorry I didn’t get a pic of it but you get the “mental” picture.

I bought some of these filters a couple of years ago and they were defective. They wouldn’t let water pass through. I broke down and ordered some more because the water has gotten worse here. They put these together correctly. The water flows right and is being filtered to my satisfaction. Not expensive, easy to install and my dog drinks the water now

I LOVE these things. They are $18 for ONE at my local Meijer or Walmart. On Amazon, you get 2 for the same price.I use these on my boat when filling the freshwater tank with city tap water, and have used them (with a 90 degree connector) when I am at the marina and hooked up to city tap water through the pressure regulated boat connection. The difference it made is remarkable! Before I’d have stinky chlorine smelling water, and to be honest even though I’d NEVER drink the water out of my 30 year old freshwater tank, just brushing my teeth with the water made my stomach sick. I noticed the first time I used these, that I could brush my teeth with the tank water and not get an upset stomach. Score!!! That alone is enough for me to continue using them. After using them, I drain them really good, and cap them. I will use 1 per summer.

Having owned our 5th wheel for LONG time, we’d been fighting a flavor issue with the fresh water system for EVER… at a camping trip, a friend gave me one of these filters and the problem was gone! Be aware though, you should allow water to run through the filter before hooking it up to you system to flush out the loose carbon filter material. Great product and now we always carry an extra one with us
ljt2520 –
These do a great job of removing impurities and bad taste from campground water. Easy to use and last up to 6 months depending on how often you camp and your care of them between uses. We camp often. We drain them, put the protective caps back on, and put in the refrigerator between uses.
gv77 –
Using them for over 5 years, I change them out every 3 to 6 months. Never had any issue with taste. It provides us some protection when we hook up to commercial parks, state and city parks in different parts of the country during our travels.
Mareque Steele –
Seems to work well, especially when used in an RV. Since local water taste and quality can vary a lot, this helps to filter out debris and smaller stuff from even entering the RV water system.I try to use one ALL the time, and keep a spare on hand. The water MUST be potable (drinking quality) BEFORE it is sent through this filter. This filter does not change sewer water into drinking water (very, very few filters do that, so do NOT try it!).This filter does clean out a bunch of stuff and generally improves the water quality. It’s worth it for me!
wayne –
I have incredibly hard water so I connected this to my hose and I use it to wash my car. My car dried super easily and no hard water spots left behind.
George Smiley –
In year two of my two pack of filters. Changed to the second one beginning this summer. They seem to work fine, no issues with leaking. There’s no way to tell when you NEED to change filters, I did it on a season basis. I’ll buy these again, next year.
Dan G –
Totally worth the investment! The difference was noticeable right away!2 tips:1) Put a water pressure regulator on the spigot or water line BEFORE the filter. Some places have ridiculous water pressure; don’t ruin the filter with too high of water tearing through it.2) Do not hang this directly off of your fresh/city water port. Use a 90 degree and/or extension adapter. This can add undue strain on the water inlet port; help ease the strain by using some sort of adapter.
K. Ahlbom –
I like using these with my motorhome when traveling. They do filter out a lot of the unpleasant parts of water in the campgrounds where I have stayed. They even helped with a “sulfur” smell in one location where I stayed.
Daniel R. Hagenow –
I have used these filters ever since we started camping. Water definitely tastes better in some instances. Even our dog prefers the water that comes through these filters than direct from the faucet at some campgrounds.

House is on a well system, we still get some hard water spots when washing our cars. Adding the filter on the spigot used to wash our cars help with the water spotting. Also notice build up with rust in the washing machine… every 6 months I put a filter on each spigot for the washing machine and the rust is minimal. The filters work great without putting an expensive water system in the house.

Needed a new water filter for our RV. I always change at least 2 time a year. I always let the water flush out for a min or so before attaching to RV. Check the specs, it filters a lot of scary stuff from the water. Great price, lots less than big box RV store.
Kathi –
Some places the water just needs to be filtered between sand and other impurities. Easy to attach to camper.
Johnathon –
I have this connected to water spigot for washing my car & this doesn’t eliminate all the hard water spots but does reduce them noticeably
Cowboybob –
Great water filters to use to remove bad tastes from water to a trailer via a hose. Used extensively for 5 months straight in the outback with great results. A must buy for the outdoors man.
Steven M. Butler –
I never drink water when hooked up at campsites, but the water in toilet and shower is clean always
Hira –
Bought this from Amazon USA and took it all the way across the world from USA > Sri Lanka > Australia to wash my car in Australia. We use recycled water in my area to wash cars and water the gardens so this water is very hard and leaves a crazy amount of waterspots. I did not do a water flush before using this filer since im not gonna use it for drinking water. But I’ve noticed that the water is almost 95% filtered of minerals. Washed my car and my friends car yesterday and today in the hot sun but the water barely left any waterspots. Overall very happy with it but how long it will last is the next question, will updated on that later on.

It is fantastic for clean and fresh tasting drinking water. It also makes the water feel softer and just nicer all around. My wife and I use it for out trailer. We live full time but don’t pay for water. We go through maybe about 3-4 per month since we have one hookup for all water outlets (sinks, shower, AND the toilet). That said since we don’t pay for water, the cost of these filters is well worth it for the quality. To be honest some of the filters seems to last longer than others but I’d say on average you should get a solid week of clean, filtered water for two people. If you can have it linked directly and only to a single sink you’d get drinking water for months probably.

Geeks Fish Too –
Works great in our 5th Wheel RV which we live in full time. We daisy-chain two to get a better taste as the well water we usually use is VERY smelly with sulpher. One trick we discovered: We found that we still have a sulpher smell after several hours of not using water. After running water for a few minutes the smell went away. We suspect that the sulpher percolates to the “top” of the water chain – meaning, our RV is the highest point on the property so since sulpher in this form is a gas, it tends to go to the top. The Answer is to either run the water for a few minutes each time, or use water bottles and fill them up after someone takes a shower each day. This works really well for us.There are other brands out there, but we’ve determined that the more expensive ones don’t work better than these do. There are bigger versions from other brands, but far more expensive. These provide enough flow to allow us to take showers just like they weren’t there. Additionally, since we live in our RV full time, we go through these fairly quickly.Pros:- Work like they are supposed to.- Last reasonably long depending on current water quality. 1 – 3 months if using every day.- Will remove strange smells if used as noted above.- Versatile and easy to install.- Have bought many from different sources and they all worked – not one bad unit.- Flow is not restricted enough to notice.Cons:- One is often not enough for bad water. (Common with other brands too).

Easy to install on the outside of our travel trailer. We have been using this type and brand since 2014. When I fill up fresh water tank I use to fill that tank as well.
CustAct –
I think it’s great that these come in a 2-pack. We will use one this year and then one next year. We did make sure to run some water through it before using it the first time. And we have run water through for a bit each time we use it.These were also a fraction on the prince that you see at the camper store!!
Smuferchick –
Great, easy to install, gets rid of any extra flavors and impurities. You do need to replace your filter every 6 months if you are using this everyday; I am a full-time RVer. You can remove the filter, put it in your refrigerator and it does staying good up to 6 months. Never had any mold grow in between driving my RV.

We have been using these camco filters for over a decade. I have compared them to other brands before ordering and keep coming back to them based on previous experience. Honestly I can’t tell you the difference between the several varieties of camco filters (other than one comes with the bendy hose attachment… which is worth it. We have several). I can say we have never had contamination of our water system that we know of. Is that due to our being careful and sanitizing the system, protection by the filter, or luck? Can’t say, but possibly a bit of all three. The carbon does remove some of the taste like a Brita filter. Only hard limitations listed are regulate water pressure under 60 psi (no problem) and when filling a large volume water tank, it says to “restrict the water flow from the faucet to allow adequate filtration from the low pressure loss filter”. Never seen that comment before in over ten years but the box very boldly advertises on the cover “HIGH FLOW”. I will say that we have been loading our fresh water tank at full flow since we have been rving and have had no issues. The filters are solidly built. I usually break them open at the end of the year to see what is going on inside and it takes some work with a saw do this. With proper washers in the fittings, they don’t leak. Best of all they are made in the USA. We use one filter for an entire camping season which is right around six months or the listed life of the filter. Very happy with these and will keep buying the two packs for the foreseeable future.

Happy Camper –
The well water at our seasonal campsite when using the shower felt like the soap did not rinse off completely after a shower leaving me a little itchy and unclean and my spouse would have dried out and cracking hands from doing dishes.I use these filters to filter all water entering our travel trailer and we no longer have any more issues with the water.I buy the 4 pack to save money and I like to change the filters every 2 months as we use the water for showers and washing dishes almost daily during the camping season.

Noticed an immediate difference in our water taste and reduction of water spots left on the dishes. Take note: in case your man is also one of those who refuses to read directions before installing, directions say to run water through it for 1 minute after installation to wash out all the small carbon fibers. I was a bit shocked when I was doing dishes and all the sudden the water started coming out of the faucet black. Luckily it wasn’t going into food or something at the time!

I have a well water that’s connected to My homes outdoor spigot (no filter); when I wash my car with this Raw well water I’m always left With mineral spots(?) (white spots) after drying;I wanted to reduce these spots, so I purchased this filter. It connects directly to my spigot (Easy install). The other end of the product connected to my hose without any issues.I also attached it to my pressure washer and works great. As a result, I saw no spots after Drying my car, therefore the product seemed to resolved my issue. I also noticed that Water seems to trickle off more and less drying for me also. This is a cheaper and quick solution in my opinion because I’m lazy and don’t want to add a filter in my water line just for occasional car wash.Hope that helps

The filters are used to filter water which at times has high chlorine,. They do a great job. I am running a lot of med PPM water around 150. It doesnt reduce that but does filter out heaver things int he water I don’t want to give to my plants.Confident these are doing what I need them to do.
iluvdabeer –
Amazing flow! All I needed was something to remove Chlorine from my city tap water so i’m not ruining my soil when I water my plants and I found these. Now while I haven’t tested the Chlorine levels to see if they’re actually doing what they say they are, they should be. Basically you hook this up to your tap and let it run for 20 seconds or so till you see the water go clear (there must be carbon inside these which is why the water is dark at first) then you’re good to go. Once the flow really slows then they’re full so replace them.

This is the standard for filtering potable water for your RV or any situations of the like. It does a decent job of cleaning out potable water from campsites that may include hard minerals that may potentially build up over time and cause damage to your water system. The water does taste decent from a person who mostly drinks filtered water at home and bottled water when on the go. One filter should last “one season” of camping. If you’re above the average, then consider changing out the filter more often. I would imagine this would be commonsense. This twin-pack makes this offering more economical to do this. Remember, it’s better to change more often then less often in order to avoid a more expensive fix. Once again, I would always have a spare on hand just for this reason. I have also read issues with these leaking over time. After paying attention, I’m on 5th or 6th trips for my latest filter, and I have yet to see this thing leak from either end. If it leaks, check your o-rings on both your filter and your hose. I not only use this product when on full-hook-ups, but also when I fill up my fresh/potable water tanks. I install this normally at the spigot so filtered water runs through my fresh water hoses as well. So, it’s being screwed on/off quite a bit. I think the average/non-full-time RV’er at 5 or 6 trips a year is around average (maybe more), to help give some context. Some have argued that they clog too fast… I say switch them out. There is always a chance the water source is pumped from a well and has a lot of minerals being filtered out. From that note, I haven’t seen any clogging or water pressure issues.Overall, I would recommend this product as the bare minimum filter solution for your RV’ing needs.Side Note:I’ve done some research on these and some have argued more for the large scale filter systems. They filter more and last much longer. It’s my opinion that these larger options are best for full-time RV’ers who constantly use water and do not put their RV in storage for long periods of time. The reason behind this, is that this product has an additive that will prevent any bacteria from building up in the filter. This means if there is water left in these filters between uses, it will prevent anything from growing inside of it. The larger filters do not always have this option, so you may have to remove them and dry them out to prevent this. I’m sure they have filter options available, but then you have to deal with the hassle of maintenance and additional expense. At this price point, it’s worth the small expense to simply just replace this product.

For RV owners and others who have purchased a
Camco 40043 TastePURE RV Water Filter with Flexible Hose Protector
, these are the replacements after a season’s use or if the original filter was ever frozen after being used. Although these filters have a minimal effect on my flow rate, they remove sediment, objectionable tastes and reduce the chlorine that some campgrounds have in their water. I would not consider connecting my motorhome to any water source without having one of these filters installed between the hose and the water inlet to my coach. When first installing a new filter, be sure to rinse the filter for about one minute to dislodge any loose charcoal before connecting it to your water inlet.

This clears up my cloudy water. Don’t know what’s in it, but it gets it. Lasts me for about 3-4 weeks with everyday use hooked up to my rv.

works great. I use it to filter the water I give my horse. The well water where I board them comes out orangey in color from all the iron but with the filter it is crystal clear. My horses love it and drink a lot more now that the water is clean. It doesn’t last longer than a month but I think that is because the water is so very full of particulates. Well worth the cost and I have reordered this item several times so I will have a stock year round.

What can I say…I have been using these for a long time with RVs, and the latest thing is for our off grid summer home. I have a water trailer and I pull it up next to the opening into the basement to the cistern. I use a submersible pump and attach this filter inline before it goes into the cistern. I know these things work because I have seen how heavy they become after they have been used for a while and can see the garbage they have kept from getting into the tank. I haven’t run any purity tests, but they seem to be great.

these are pretty good, i use them to filter water at my home for may water cooler, i did need 2 put together to really notice a big difference in taste of the city water here, one was ok and made it taste better, but 2 put together was way better in taste as in no chemical taste at all then, for the price putting 2 together is not a issue, think of 2 of them as just one really good filter, and they chain together really nice like and simple like they were designed for just that purpose,

I needed these to water my garden. I attached it to the end of the hose and connected my irrigation lines to the end of my water filter and it was as easy as that. Dont forget to attach it to the end to the hose and run the water til it becomes clear. There was a substantial amount of carbon that flooded out when I did mine. Would have hated that to be in my tap water or go thru my irrigation lines to potentially clog them up. I assume that with only 2 watering cycles of 10 min a day this should last me from a goood amount of time. My plant all seem healthy and happy and are growing like wildfire. note: I only wanted to make sure to clean out the chlorine in my garden

I have a home-built teardrop trailer. I have one of these inline between my two five gallon water tanks, and the water pump. We keep an extra on hand, and swap in a new one at the beginning of each summer. We are usually boondocking miles from any potable water source. When we need to refill our water tanks, I just take a five gallon bucket to a river or lake, and fill from there. These filters take out the taste, the smell, and filter out all the bacterial stuff as well. We’ve had zero problems with these. Highly recommend them.

Purchased these for our Rockwood Mini-Lite camper and also for our Flagstaff popup camper. We like using these external filters even though both campers already have internal water filters. We prefer to attach them to the campground faucet rather than at the water hook-up on the trailer as it keeps the hose cleaner on the inside.

Works good! No leaks so far. I would recommend running water through first before connecting. It need rinsing, water runs black. Will buy again. Thanks!

We have used these for three years and they have been great! We changed the first one after 2 weeks to clear whatever needed to be cleared-sand, dirt. It is very easy to change and I change our monthly if used only for in-RV use.

I have been on the road 2 years now in my class C motorhome and have tried and threw away the cheaper alternatives. Camco’s are made in the USA, they have a stronger housing, the are longer lasting and the materials used to filter the water are better quality!

For flavor I gave it three stars as a guess, for no matter what kind of filter I use I would never drink camp water out of the tap. Strictly for washing, example shower. Very easy to use make sure when first installing let the water run on the ground first to make sure the water is clear before hookung up to your camper.

We’ve used these filters for several years. They are perfect for removing chlorine from our city water supply. Without these, the city water tends to damage our garden plants. No issues with pressure or performance degradation over the summer season. We tried a different brand this year. Should have just reordered these ones as the cheaper ones are not performing well, and we’re buying another set of these.

This is an excellent brand and superior filter I’ve been using them for years for the rvs , watering my animals around the property because I’m on well water that is hard and has a lot of iron these units work excellent for multi uses. Be sure and buy it with the hose attachment so it can flex more.

I’ve used these filters on our camper for the last 4 years. They do an amazing job of cleaning up some of the more disgusting campground water. Doesn’t quite reach city tap water quality, but they make an enormous improvement in color and taste. I’ve only had one or two have seal issues. These were resolved relatively easily by using a small Flathead screwdriver to pry the rubber o-ring screen combo out and remove the carbon material from under the seal and threads of the filter. I re-seated the seal and the filter was good to go.

We use one per season, as we’re not full timing, and some of the prices for one filter are half of this four pack. I have not found them offered anywhere else in bulk like these. I don’t care that they’re not in a fancy package…that gets thrown out anyway. I hope they will be offered this way in the future, it’s the best way to buy them.

Same as I have used for years.ALWAYS F L U S H WITHOUT being attached to your equipment BEFORE each and every hook up!Travel Vibration with loosen the carbon and B L A C K water sediment comes out first.I use these on my Camper, Pressure Water, and to fill my Hot Tub.There are better filters that will FILTER OUT NASTY ORGANISMS – These WILL NOT!The anti-bacteria KDF component only relates to storing these wet filters. These WILL reduce metals, grit, etc.I use Brita Filters for brewing coffee and bottles for drinking or brushing teeth.

Bought a different brand before and it seemed to restrict water flow where this one didn’t. No taste issues
