I was recommended to purchase a camelbak, delivery was excellent and I’m very pleased with my purchase, highly recommendedIt also fits in my rucksack perfect
Paul –
I have bought multiple Cambelbak bladders over the last 10 years and they keep me very satisfied. These are by far the best reservoirs on the market. The handle makes it easy to fill and close the opening. It is made from sturdy material and the bladder itself will keep the water pretty cool when stored in a backpack, even on hot days. I also have an insulation bag, but I never use it. When cycling in 32 degrees Celcius, that’s 89F for you imperial speakers out there ;), it will keep cool in the backpack throughout the day. It never leaked when I used it. I can really recommend this bladder.

The last two CamelBak resevoirs busted on the first use. This one and a 3L one I bought before. I used the on trial runs both times. I guess they may be okay for just walking in the woods but for anything more I’d stay away. On top of that there is not an option to return it…and I ordered it just barely a month ago.

Just excellent

I was thrilled that that opening and closing of the cap is not as difficult as it used to be with the CamelBaks. 👍🏼

Doesn’t matter what you do or try with bladders, they always taste a bit funky without the official cleaning kit – so don’t forget to grab one.

Easy to use/refill & easy to clean. Would get 5 stars except I’m having a really hard time removing a “plastic taste” from the water even after multiple cleanings and uses. Also love the ergonomic handle for filling. This would get 5 stars if it weren’t for the plastic taste it adds to the water, hoping it fades over time.

Works great really like the leak proof valve at the top
Dr J L Macnab –
Perfect for my marathon training. Sits well in the hydration vest. Easy to clean. I’ve been popping it in the freezer. Easy bite system.
NSAdrone17 –
Do not buy this. It leaks constantly from the fill port. No way to completely close it.

Excellent. I held off switching from using bottles to a bladder for many years but glad I finally did it!Beware: You need to make sure it works well with your rucksack though.I have arched rucksacks to keep my back cool. One with a hard arch the other softer. With the softer one I find the bladder fills in the arch so my back gets very sweaty!

1 star because the bag leaks around the seal (underneath the circular opening where the bag is connected to the dialed opening). The valve and tubing seemed to be fine.
Andrew W –
I got a non-name brand ‘camelback’ that came with a water reservoir. The bag is actually quite excellent but the water apparatus was terrible – no matter how you tried, you couldnt get any water out of it. ike, it was so bad I had to rip the bag out of the bookbag and open the reservoir and drink from it that way. So I decided to try the actual name brand and I am so glad I did!The water flow is crazy in the tubing that when you want to sip, its easier than drinking from a regular straw in a restaurant. The mechanism to hook the tube to the reservoir is unique in that you dont need to twist or screw anything on which ultimately keeps water from leaking which is always appreciated. If I ever need to replace my set up, Im going for a combo water reservoir and bag combo.

Leaked immediately tasted like plastic. surprising considering it’s a camelbak even threw out all the packaging thinking it’d be fine and it was junk waste of 30$ oh well ordered an off brand that worked great and had zero taste

Authentic product very good

Not much to say since I do not use my water reservoir much being in Japan. Japan has vending machines on nearly every corner to meet hydration needs. However, I know that once I get back to the states that will not be the case.
MarcusGauvain –
Very good quality as expected from camelback have had a few of the antidotes in past but the crux has a much better mouthpiece too it. Plus better flow really happy with the purchase so far.

My wife used it on 9 days of day hikes and she was easily able to stay hydrated and had enough water for 12-15 mile days. Nice large opening for filling up and the removable
Katrin –
It the best water “bottle” when you are on the road, hiking, biking, sailing or just sitting at home 🙂
Claude Bestgen –
Keine Undichtichkeiten, kein Wassserverlust wie bei Konkurrenzprodukten. Wie immer bei Camelbak top Qualität.

I got sprayed by a skunk & had to get a new liner for my camelbak. This one is as expected. It doesn’t leak if the lid is secured properly & hold ample amount of water.
Kyle Ladrech –
Love this thing. Took it with me for a half-marathon recently. I tried to avoid giving the volunteers offering water dirty looks because they did not see my CamelBak.

Michael –
I purchased this item for my son and he has used it in his backpack on day hikes, overnight hiking trip, while riding his mountain bike and also when he has gone out and done some photography. He really likes it. It seems really durable and extremely well designed. It’s easy to clean and maintain. We’re very pleased with this purchase. It was packaged very well and shipping with Prime was painless and quick. We would do this again if needed. Very good product.

Crista M Baker –
It grew old quickly and was really difficult to clean. It tasted like rubber the first five times I used it I had to keep trying to wash it out. I recently switched back to carrying water bottles so I don’t have to deal with the mold.
carol smith –
After many years of using cheaper copies, I finally bought one of these. So much easier to fill and clean. I am a convert.
Matt Luxton –
great locking mechanism on suction tube as on the older version I found I would accidentally squeeze the end whilst riding and get a wet shirt. Ideal size for a days activities and easy to clean.
Ken Vilagos –
Have used Camelback products before. This one is no different in quality. Fits in the Condor tide pool carrier (since they shipped it without a bladder) with minor slouching. Hands down better than issued hydration bladder
Jose Mendoza –
Very happy with item!
J. Heltzel –
I used this reservoir to replace the one that came with my marathoner backpack after roughly 6 years. It doesn’t fit perfect due to handle protruding out but it doesn’t bother me too much. Overall I’m happy with my purchase and suppose this is an upgrade to the original reservoir that came with my backpack.
Heidi j –
Just as expected! Fits perfectly into my hiking backpack.

I like to use this when skiing or walking, as I drink a lot of water. It saves me stopping to search for a bottle in my bag every time I want a drink. It holds a good quantity of water for a day on the slopes. I have a small rucksack, which has an opening at the top for the tube, and an elasticated loop on one of the straps to hold the mouthpiece. I can easily use it on the chairlift or if I stop for a moment. I’ve had it for over a year now and I am still very pleased with it. It hasn’t leaked at all for me, but be careful to check that the lid is aligned properly when you screw it on, or leakage may be an issue. The lock on the mouthpiece seems to work well in preventing leaking too.I bought a camelback cleaning set and cleaning tablets, which make it fairly easy to clean. The water has always tasted fine to me too, I haven’t noticed any weird tastes from the camelbak.

Great company, I bought this bladder bag to replace the one in my Vibedration bag because that one is so leaky. Camelbak really just has the best technology for these bags!
DB94 –
Got this to replace my cheaper reservoir that came with my hydration pack. The plastic mouth piece is way more stiff than expected and even after 4 uses the plastic taste really kills me.
Jessica Goldman –
Works great really like the leak proof valve at the top
Frank –
top notch
Book Boss –
It’s a bit big for my bag, and I have to fold in the long hose (i’m only 5/3″). The mouth piece is wonderfully soft, and it’s easy to open and fill the bag.

Matt –
I bought this product after reading mostly positive reviews – but some reviews said it leaked, it was hard to fill completely and the water tasted bad. The only problem I had with leaking was the one time I didn’t get the cap on right. However, I always turn it upside down before putting it in my bag to check for leaks. There’s a trick to getting the cap on correctly: when you put the cap on first spin it slowly counter-clockwise like you’re unscrewing it until you click a “click.” That sound is the threads engaging and lining up. Then screw it clockwise and tighten as normal. I agree that it shouldn’t require a “trick” but once I figured this out I can quickly and easily get the cap on correctly. The hose connects with a solid “click” and I’ve had no leaks from that connection. The second issue I’ve seen in reviews is that it’s hard to completely fill, and this is true if you try to get every last drop possible in it. However, I questioned how much water this actually holds so I completely filled the reservoir and poured it out into my 2 liter measuring cup. It held about 2.2 liters. So it is hard to put 2.2 liters into a 2 liter reservoir, but it’s easy to fill to the 2L advertised capacity. The other issue is the taste, and if you put water in it brand new without cleaning it, it will taste like rubber. So I washed mine with warm water and a little dish soap (and ran some through the tube) and thoroughly rinsed it. I spent 10 minutes doing this 1 time and the water tasted completely normal after that. If you leave water in it for over 24 hours (especially if partially filled) then you’ll get a slight aftertaste. If you’re looking to store water for several days without any change in taste, then this product probably isn’t for you.Two things that would make this better are to include a sleeve option for the tube. I’ve got a green/brown bag and the bright blue tube just doesn’t look good against it. Also the hook at the top of the reservoir (used to hang inside your bag) is shaped like a T and that works great in my bag, but my wife’s bag has a velcro loop. To secure it in her bag we’ll have to rig a string through the T hook and the loop in the bag. Finally, check the dimensions before ordering your size. The measurements showed it would be a tight fit in my bag and it is, but it works fine and I’m glad I got the larger size. The measurements in the specs are accurate with the bag full of water. Bottom line, I liked this enough to buy one for my wife.

This 2 liter reservoir does exactly what it is designed to do!I tested it in my off design 22 liter pack, but it will work for larger packs too.No leaks! Even when I had the hose block open the mouth piece stayed closed and didn’t leak even while on the move. But nice to have the hose block feature on the mouth piece, in case I sit on it, or squash it under my pack when I set it down. I tugged fairly hard on the hose, and it did not pull off the reservoir. But, just in case, you can take off the hose at its release feature, while full, and the reservoir does not leak. I also squeezed the reservoir hard and no leaks. Its sleek profile and over all design does not noticeable cut into the volume of the pack, even when the reservoir is completely full. It has a nice handle on the reservoir lid, for easier opening and tighter closing, which lays flat. In my pack I prefer to place the lid away from my back in as turning it towards my back makes it less comfortable, but that’s probably obvious. For me 2 liters is good for most day hikes, but for back packing it is difficult to fill with a water filter. However, not really a problem for me, as I always have additional bottles on longer ventures, and it works to pour from a bottle to fill the reservoir. No plastic taste even after letting the reservoir sit full for days.I’m very happy with my purchase!

Reservoir is fine. I absolutely hate this hook at the top. My pack had a single ~1/2” webbing loop inside that had held every other bladder I’ve ever used. I lost my last one and this POS will NOT stay attached to the pack. It keeps coming loose and then bunching up in the pack to where the fluid won’t flow out. Hate it.

Good little unit
Caitlin –
Perfect for the price.
all –
As with all of the CamelBak products they keep getting better
Scott –
A decent bladder but the hose is too short to make the “quick detach” feature worthwhile. Not to mention, when you detach the hose water goes everywhere unless you blow the water out first. Larger diameter hose is an improvement but I much prefer my old Omega Camelback.

Overall, I like this water bladder. It’s got a unique design that helps you hold and fill it easily. Unfortunately, it’s biggest strength is also one of it’s weaknesses. The handle offers a very convenient way of holding the bag while filling, but the cap cannot be screwed back on while you’re holding the handle. I believe some of the trouble is that when you fill it very full, the mouth of the bladder flexes with the weight of the water and prevents the cap from closing properly. You have to do a little acrobatics with the actual bladder and angle the mouth just right so that the cap will close properly. I’ve had a few surprises because of this flaw.I still think it’s a great bladder. Once you figure out how to hold the bladder and close the cap, it works great. The handle just needs some refinement, maybe using a stronger material so that the mouth doesn’t flex when the bladder is full.

This is one of best product which we use.Few thoughtsTo drain all water if they have an easy way to do will be helpful. Now we have to use a towel or paper to clean the last few drops and hiding in the rim side. Also this doesn’t fit Universally to all other hiking back packs in the market. I wish they have some universal way to hang and hold it up.Some other water reservoir bladders they do support to hang in any backpacks.

Es muy comodo
Bret Ford –
The camelback crux reservoir is a great replacement for the origin one that came with the camelback. I use it for snowboarding. The shutoff valve is a smart feature to help it from leaking or freezing over as quickly.
matthew milford –
I love the quick disconnect on this reservoir. It means I can leave the tube plumbed into my bag when refilling. The large cap makes it easy to refill. I used this in my day pack for trips in the lake district and found the capacity to be perfect. Plastic taste is strong on first few uses but it does stop after a while
Alex Salazar –
Fits perfect in my military pack. No off taste, easy to clean, bite valve has good flow and easy to use.
A hiker –
Make sure the lid is correctly set into the screw thread before tightening. A bit difficult to tell if you have a good seal. Other than that, works great.
Werner Mischke –
Does the job. Nice features. Well built.
Pablo Romero –

Pratik –
Great product. Love the handle to be able to refill it with the help of another person or by yourself if filling from sink or other flowing water source. The connection from the tubing to the pouch is watertight and easy to connect and disconnect. The only thing I will do is buy a bite valve cover as having it outside can sometimes attract dirt and whatnot to the outside especially if doing outdoor activities or multi-day hikes.

This is a great camelback. Helped me survive a hike through the Andes. Only complaint is that it isn’t dishwasher safe. However, leak proof and no weird plastic taste!
K. Johnson –
Great product, no leaks. Does need a good clean before using to get rid of the taste from the material. It’s a good size and I’m glad I didn’t go for a smaller one as this fits nicely in my 15l backpack with other essentials.

Much easier to use that the prior version and you can get enough water without sucking your lungs out. Additional the new closure is much less prone to leakage AND does not take the strength of a Olympic weight lifter to open.

Super easy to clean, no leaks, flavor as good as it can be considering the material it’s made of.I actually use it in an off brand pack and it fit in there just fine.

Diana S. –
Something that I have always complained about with a lot of these bladders is that the hose was welded onto the bladder and it is just SO hard to dry it thoroughly when that is the case. Or I would yank them off and the seal would never be the same afterwards. I do wish that every bladder would come with a drying rack for itself … but, I guess my 3D printer will have fun making me one. Good size, strength, and really like the handle and closing positioning compared to some of my older bladders. Much more practical.

Great product. Easy to use, easy to clean. Cannot fault it.
Claudio –

Mr. R. Hudson –
Have gone back to CamelBak after years of low cost, low quality replacements and don’t regret it.The material is tough and can also be frozen (i do this to avoid getting mold in the bladder), so far the only gripe is that the bladder has a tendency to splash back when filling and the bite valve has no cover.Other than that, brilliant!

I love using a water bladder – but why they can’t use a tougher plastic for the top hooks (to hang within your backpack) is beyond me. This is a large bladder (70 oz), so is heavy. Both have broken off, leaving my water bladder slumped in the bottom of my backpack. Really lousy material, and I have complained to them several times that they need to upgrade the plastic. I’m pissed, but I see no alternative to ordering another. I’m on my third now in about 4 years. And they are not cheap!

Great reservoir and bladder with new locking device, except my original Camelback cover no longer fits the new bladder tab. Forces me to buy a new cover. Bummer!

To start with I’m a bit disappointed in Camelbak for the information they put on their own webpage. I needed a new reservoir for my old Rogue pack. While looking at the older Antidote reservoirs the product description says that the newer Crux is an upgrade and direct replacement. Not true. I bought the Crux 2L to replace me old Antidote 2L. The reservoir is about a half inch longer and the plastic handle is 2x longer and the cover on my pack can’t fit over it to lock down. Thus, at the suggestion of Camelbak, I’ve bought a reservoir which doesn’t fit.Outside of the fitment issue I do like the new reservoir design. The new handle is more ergonomic and easier to hold than the older Antidote models. My old reservoir doesn’t have the quick-disconnect drink tube, so this was a pleasant upgrade. On packs where the tube has to run through a small hole this makes it so much easier to get the reservoir out without having to pull the tube every time. I can also confirm the tube / reservoir quick disconnect is leak proof. Without the tube connected you can 100% fill the reservoir and not worry about it leaking all over the place. The tube is obviously a different issue. If you unplug it while it’s full of water it may all drain out. It will depend on how well sealed the bite valve is. If it lets air in one end the water will drain out the other. The main reason I only gave it three stars is the apparent down-grade on features. My older Antidote reservoir had features to make sure you can quickly align the lid and screw it on. It screwed on and tightened down in 60 degrees of rotation. When open the lid hung down toward the handle. On the Crux there is no quick-alignment feature. It takes more twisting / rotation to lock the cap down. It took me three tries to get the cap properly secured. The first two the threads were misaligned, the cap wasn’t on straight, and it leaked when I picked it up. With the cap retention feature being on the top it means the cap would be in the way when I stick the reservoir under the water filter / dispenser at my office before going on a post-work MTB ride. I will either need a secondary container to transfer water, or I’ll have to fill with the unfiltered city water from the sink faucet instead. Lastly, the Crux doesn’t appear to come with the same little arms as the Antidote, which are useful for propping the reservoir open to allow air inside so it can dry out after cleaning.

I recently upgraded to this new water bladder from one that came free with a rucksack.I wish I’d upgraded sooner! So much easier to clean and refill, in addition to the mouthpiece being much less faff.I would definitely recommend this.

Only issue I have is the plastic handle changed from my original reservoir which engaged the fabric flap cover. On the other hand, its now easier to hold while filling.
CL –
Works well, better improved design on the bite valve end- easier water shut off, cap is better designed to help eliminate cross threading/leaking like previous version- too pricey IMO but really the best design out there

It’s not easy to clean, it leaks, and it tastes like you’re drinking from a freshly purchased/filled swimming pool. Disgusting.I sweat more than this leaks when using it in a vest; just be careful what you store beside or under it.Trying to pour that last bit of water out of this thing is like trying to do one of those trick puzzles. You can kinda get your hand in there to wipe it out. Be careful of the baffle. That taste…and this ridiculous water delivery system…next time out might be with a sawyer water bag in the bladder compartment n refill my bottles when needed.

Used in backpacks with designated pouches for this kind of thing. Massively improved water intake through the day and is a space saver when used properly. (I fill it up with some air in it when I close it then use the mouthpiece to vacuum out the rest of the air to help make it as storable as possible).Mouthpiece works well, tightens and loosens comfortably, and hasn’t leaked yet.

great replacement bladder, the wide mouth makes it a breeze to put ice cubes in, handle is nice feature to have when filling with water. quick disconnect tube is a one-handed operation. flow through the tube is excellent. bite valve seals tight when not in use, no more dripping onto my shorts during a bike ride. great product!

The return window closed on this Mar 7, and I just tried it out for a hike on Mar 14, so I am out of luck. The bladder leaked immediately and I realized it had a slice on the top of it. I didn’t worry about it because it was brand new. What could go wrong? My advice to you is open it immediately and fill it with water to find out if it is damaged. It is much lighter weight than my old Camelbak. It is unusable and I might as well throw it away. It did not get good reviews from others and I should never have bought it. Can’t use a leaky water bladder AT ALL.

every camel back I bought (this is my fourth) has been better than the last. this one has a nicer valve lock than the last one. The detachable hose is a great improvement as well. My other large one has a permanently attached hose which makes it difficult to take in and out of one of my backpacks that has a tight hose hole.

I bought this to replace an old CamelBak reservoir that was no longer usable. Improvements to the reservoir were apparent as soon as I opened the package. The cap is much easier to open and close; it has a smooth function and it is easy to grasp and turn. The connection points snap together much better. It still has the hook on top to hang inside my CamelBak back pack. The on/off valve is larger and easier to use. The only reason I didn’t give 5 Stars is because there are no drying handles like my old one had. I would recommend to anyone looking for an excellent hydration reservoir at a reasonable price.

This reservoir doesn’t fit the old backpacks. The reason is that the opening is a bit wider and the handle a bit longer. I don’t see how redesigning these aspects would improve anything as they were never of concern. I suspect it was purely done to sell the new bags. Not very sustainable thinking… I thought CamlBak would be a bit more considered in reusing their gear.

This is my 3rd Camelback bladder and so far my favorite. I love that the tube detaches so for the first time ever I can clean the entire length. My only gripe is there’s an attachment running up the middle so if you have the cleaning supplies with the insert that props it open to dry, that won’t work. I just use 2 paper towels.
Larry A –
fly fishing hydration. The bladder that came with the vest was terrible . The vest was great. REI stopped caring the Cameback so I tried a Gregory 3D. Nice design but hard to operate one handed and cleaning the tube was worse then the bladder that came with the vest. I’ve been a Camelback fan for years, mountain biking, and so far nothing compares !

It is exactly as described. I use it daily and just have to make sure that I dry it out thoroughly to prevent mildew.

I bought this to replace an existing one that had started to leak through the mouthpiece. This is a new design with a number of features, all of which are an improvement on the one I replaced: improved valve, better handle to use while filling and easily detached delivery tube (for easier cleaning). I was so impressed that I bought another one to use in my day-to-day backpack.

Huge improvement to my stock bladder. I thought the stock had finally gone bad after several years but the gasket had simply slid out of place haha, so it’s actually fine. This larger size fits my smaller CamelBak backpack. It’s great having that extra amount of water…and I can share with my kids when we hike. Tube separates from reservoir and makes it easy to dry.

I fit this in my Eberlestock Bandit pack since there is not one included. Ive left water in it all winter long and you can still drink it (provided you use filtered water). The first couple fills had a tiny taste of “new plastic,” but it went away very fast. Ive used it a lot and it still doesnt leak. Remember to lock the mouthpiece closed when storing it. Good stiff handle for lifting in and out. Big lid makes it easy to fill and center connections inside the bladder help it keep a slim profile. Worth every penny.

I’ve been using it for about 4 weeks now. I’m riding my MTB about 3 to 4 times a week, and in the Texas heat, I wanted to be hydrated. The bladder is easy to clean and easy to fill with water. I’m using it in a hiking camelback, and it works perfectly for my application. In my case, the 2 Lt. is enough for a 3-hour ride in the middle of the summer. Keep in mind that you may drink more or less water than me.

Bought this to replace my old reservoir for my Cloudwalker that I bought back in 2002. Worked perfectly with no leaks and no issue with bad tastes. All the new features work great and wish I would have bought more to replace the rest of my families Camelbak reservoirs when they were on sale. The new lid is awesome and easy to open/close and the Quickrelease is also great. The on/off switch near the mouthpiece takes some times to get use to, but it’s a small thing. Overall, I would highly recommend if it’s compatible with your current backpack.

Works fine, but it is functionally no different than the off-brand ones for half the price. I hoped this one would not leak from the valve when running like the cheap ones, but it does. Not much, but enough to be annoying if your shirt isn’t already wet. I hoped this would have a smoother suction., more like drinking from a straw in a glass. It does not. It gets a bunch of air in the line just like the cheaper ones.

I ordered this assuming it would fit my 2015 Camelbak Rogue carrier to save money. Unfortunately for me it’s been completely redesigned wider and with a longer handle that won’t fit into the flap. I’m so disappointed as I was looking fwd to going out on a trail today, otherwise it’s an improvement in design and function. Now I’m tasked with repackaging it and paying to return it to sender. They need to emphasise this bladder is only designed for the latest Camelbak Rogue carriers which I will also have to order soon!

I use a wheelchair for mobility and wanted a hydration pack that I could take with me everywhere. This was a great find. The opening is plenty large enough to fill with ice and water with ease. My only complaint is that the lid is finicky sometimes when screwing it on so that it doesn’t leak… My suggestion is to place the lid over the opening and then rotate the lid counterclockwise until you feel a noticeable click then tighten as normal. The click ensures the threads are lined up properly.

I bought this to replace my very old Camelbak which eventually split after huge amounts of usage.I’m happy with the new version with the quick release connector. Two things that have changed, or need some getting used to: 1. When you disconnect the pipe, a pipe full of water comes out (because air has entered the vacuum); 2. Tightening up the main bag/ reservoir has become harder than my previous one, which makes leaks inside your bag more likely.Camelbak are still the leader in hydration packs. I’ve tried using cheaper ones, but it’s never worth it.TIP: Only buy the 3L if you really need to – it’s an extra kilo of weight to carry around.

As you would expect from Camelbak it’s a great bit of kit. Quality build and very durable. It’s just too long!! It bunches up at the bottom of my Camelbak bag and shuts off the flow. Need to lean way forward and arch your back to take pressure off to get any flow which is a bit dodgy when riding a mountainbike!I’m sure if you have a long backpack it will be perfect. Not sure why they changed original design as old one fitted perfect.

Got this to replace an old platypus that had finally worn out after many years and I’m very happy. The design of opening makes it very easy to both clean and fill, and the detachable hose means it’s easier to fit into bags where otherwise routing can be a problem. Best of all it neither leaks nor makes the water taste plasticky. It is a bit wider and flatter than some other bladders which means it can be a bit of tight squeeze to go it into some rucksacks, but still fits my Osprey Talon 18.
slviperdakota –
When filling the bladder, I disconnected the hose from the bottom to remove it from inside my pack easier. The bottom hose attaches with a quick connect fitting so you dont have to route your hose back through the pack. but IT LEAKS when you fill the bladder.. is this normal? or do I have a defective product? I cant understand why it would have a quick connect fitting that leaks when drinking hose is not connected. That kind of renders the concept useless.

Some things you don’t want to skimp on, and apparently a reservoir is one of them. I think this is my 5th reservoir in what seems like a short amount of time. Had a High Sierra one originally that was great and lasted for years, but I neglected to clean it like I should once and it molded and that was the end. Didn’t matter what I tried. So next I tried the Aquatic Way Hydration Bladder. The first time there was a leak, so I got a replacement. Then the nozzle failed, so I tried it once more. But no matter what I did, it would always leak just a little. Plus the hose is super long and never seemed to conveniently fit any backpack.I finally got fed up and decided to go brand name again. This one seemed reasonably priced, and since giving it a try I haven’t regretted it since. Right length for the hose, easy to use, never once leaked (minus when I didn’t close the lid right once, ha!). Plus you can detach the hose and refrigerate the unit if you’re going to be on a hot hike. Been very happy with this purchase. Sometimes you get what you pay for.

Well, water is un-drinkable unless plastic cheMicah taste is your thing! I have washed with lemon and baking powder at least 5 or 6 times, left solution for in for around 40mins, cleaned after, dried, put in freezer, cleaned with hot soapy water, nothing fixes it. Complete fail camelback! You have designed this to do 1 thing and it fails miserably. Contacted there customer service, they also said how to get rid of taste, tho I’d already tried multiple times. Tried their method, that also achieved nothing. Went back to them, never got another response. Terrible!

The picture was the type I wanted…called the CRUX bladder. What I received was the ANTIDOTE BLADDER that doesn’t fix my backpack. I returned it and found what I needed online elsewhere

For people experiencing a leaking issue, turn the cap to the left until you feel it click down past the first “lip” and then turn to the right. It would be nice if it came with these instructions. I had to search through reviews on a different product to figure this out.

Super bummer. My backpack was on it’s side when I was putting on my ski boots. Water leaked and cover my entire backpack. Needless to say, I had to get a locker to store it that day. Won’t be buying another.

I bought the 2L bladder for long bike rides with the fam. It works great, no issues. I just wish that someone made a 2L bicycle handlebar cooler bag specifically for it with room enough for some slim ice paks. I just purchased one that the 2L camelbak bladder would fit into with room enough to spare for a few freezer paks. I also bought the camelbak magnetic holder for quick access, I used a Velcro strap to mount it to the bike. It all works like a charm.

I am going on a trip that I need a reservoir. My daypack is quite small so I went for the 2.5L which fits great for my Northface backpack. I carry another 750ml bottle so I can have a little more than 3L water when I go on my long day hike. Takes a couple of runs to get rid of the new rubber smell but I think it’s reasonable.

Must have for steady packing.

I like that you have a small valve to lock the water flow from going to the mouth piece. In the winter I often walk with a lot of walking gear that sometimes press on the mouth piece. No water can then leak out due to the closed valve. Many of my walking friends have spilled water on themselves when they pressed on the mouth piece of their bladders while putting on their backpacks. Initially the water from the bladder does have a slightly unpleasant taste but this went away after a few uses. My previous bladder had an awful taste that never went away even after several months of use. The material of this hydration bladder seems to be strong enough to survive inside a backpack.
