I did receive the shipment in a timely manner. Everything that was advertised is in it. I am trying to upgrade my camp cooking equipment for travel on my Harley. Your cookware appears to be well made and should function quite well for my intended purpose. I like the attached folding handle design. I prefer to stay at camp once I arrive. This set appeared to be the best I could find for the best price. Hopefully I will get a chance to use it before long on a trip. I still work for a living so my opportunities are limited. I am looking forward to breaking them in.

I’ve been backpacking & camping since I was a child, in the 50’s & 60’s. Products have changed, thankfully. I purchased this mess kit as we are going on a cross country camping trip with toddler grandchildren, and I wanted to pack cooking, light. This is an excellent set!! The gift amenities to it are such a blessing. This company demonstrates that it CARES about it’s customers, and, is expierenced in their product usage, as they have provided anticipatory extras. The price is well worth it, and I will purchase from them again, definitely. The product itself is: good, sound, durable, and lightweight.

My fiance’ and I do a lot of backpacking, so it’s important that we have lightweight tools to pack with so I’m not so miserable hauling it up an 8,000 ft climb in elevation. This kit fits perfectly in my pack, without taking up a noticeable amount of space or contributing a noticeable amount of weight. It’s big enough for a decent one-person meal, and the equipment fits together perfectly to not take up additional space. Easy to clean up, too!

I placed the order for the cookware. It arrived on time and was used on my recent trip of backpacking. I enjoyed it. I know it was meant for 1 person use, but it had to be stretched out for 4 people and worked great. The pans also clean up easily which was a good thing since we were all dudes and we burned the food. The spork and cooking spoon were good (unfortunately we lost the wooden spoon).I will probably buy another in the future and will recommend to my friends. (Review written by Francisco. So with the February ’21 “Snovid” event, I decided I needed some kind of emergency cookware that I would not use “nice” cookware for (open-flame heating). This little kit works quite well, I boiled 2 cups of water in about 4-6 minutes with 3 tablets on the Coghlan’s stove. Having the lid for the pot is the key, without it, the water won’t boil anytime soon.The pot did take some permanent discoloration on the outside bottom fro the flames, but it does not seem to have compromised the pot in any way.The extras are also nice, as you get 2 bowls, a collapsing ladle, and a nice collapsing stainless spork. The bamboo spatula and cleaning sponge are also a nice touch. I probably won’t use the pan, but it is nice to know it is there just in case. Whole kit weighs less than a pound, so it should be good for camping scenarios.

I received the pots as soon as they said I would. Comes in a nice little box, neatly packaged. I haven’t been able to use the pots yet but they do seem like good quality. The handles on the pots are sturdy and don’t shake at all. I also really liked the accessories that came with them(spoons and sponge). It’s a nice little set that I will definitely take on my next trip. I was also emailed promptly, after receiving my little pot box by a Rep named Adam and he was very polite. He made sure I received the package and that everything was to my liking. I was very impressed with the service I received. I will definitely be buying from this company again!

Living in southern California, you never know when there will be an earthquake or fire and we are all encouraged to have an emergency kit at the ready. I recently was updating my kit and realized that we didn’t have anything to boil water or cook any canned food we have stored. After looking at what was available on Amazon, your product looked the best to me, so I bought it. This little cook set is amazing. Me and my buddy went camping and took this for both of us. We did a lot of chili in the pot and made little steaks in the pan. This stuff worked amazing and even though both of us can eat an entire cow in one sitting it was big enough for a very large amount of chili and while we had to cook the steak 1 at a time they came out great. The metal for the pots is also great because it wont absorb the heat all of it goes straight to the food, after about a minute of taking the pot off the flame the bottom was cool enough to touch even though it had just boiled chili.The only thing that surprised me was how short the handle on the stirring spoon was but considering its made to pack into the pot its makes sense. All in all i would give it 5 outta 5 stars.

Pretty much all you need for 1-2 person camping trips–might need an extra plate and spork for 2 man. Their are better quality kits, but usually WAY more expensive. This is a 5 star value for the price. Great design

I am a retired US Army NCO who is more than 70 years old, lives in New Mexico and loves to hike and camp. At my age, I’m always on the lookout for good lightweight kit. I do not submit reviews until I’ve used the item. My experience with this little kit was very good.The kit comes with a little fry pan and a little sauce pan that nest into each other. There is a terrific little carved bamboo stir spoon a couple of plastic little bowls or cups a little folding ladle, a sauce pan cover and I got a Prime Day Special extra addition; a nifty little metal folding spork. In addition to all of this, it has a nice little cloth sack with a nicely made plastic closure to hold the little kit nice and snug together when it is stuffed in my ruck sack.I washed it all up, stuffed in an extra pair of socks and a couple of bandana handkerchiefs so it did not rattle (an old army habit).I usually bring a little grub for the trip; a couple of hard boiled eggs, some hard tack, some precooked brown rice with peas and carrots and corn kernels and an apple or two; along with some dark roasted coffee beans. I set up camp after a few hours out. my tiny camp stove heated up and this terrific little kit did everything it was supposed to do. The coffee beans heated up great and the coffee was great.This little kit did exactly what it was supposed to do, it is light and strong, well made and I expect that it will provide me with hot meals out on the backside of the high dessert for years to come. I bought this thing sight unseen and hoped for the best: I got the best.If you come to the New Mexico high dessert, you will see the stars as GOD intended you to see them. Boil up some coffee and when you see the Milky Way, you will feel as if you could reach up and touch the face of GOD.Come and camp in New Mexico for your next vacation; and bring along this little MalloMe Mess Kit. So my daughter and I are avid outdoor people, both do wilderness survival trips etc, and take teens out camping regularly. We have ALWAYS been very frustrated with the mess kits available on the market. Most are over priced and poor quality. This kit is AMAZING!!! We love almost everything about it. Truly. The material quality is sturdy and non stick. The entire kit is well made and they thought of all the details when it comes to the accessories they include. I LOVE THIS MESS KIT. I have recommended it to everyone I know, all my girl scout groups, and everyone I know who camps, as I always do when I find a product I love. The one and ONLY thing I would change is we did have ONE small problem, lol. The colored parts of the kit (handles and top knob) are made of plastic. Even though we used these on small tablet flame backpacking camp cook stoves that produce a very small flame, my daughter managed to melt her handles, lol. Quite badly. So I would recommend using caution and making sure you know EXACTLY where the handles are in relation to heat. I think if they were to replace these plastic parts with silicone or silicone dipped or something a bit more heat resistant, it would be PERFECT!!! I also love that you offer different colors (2). This helps when in groups where EVERYONE has mess kits. Multiple color options would be cool. But I would totally recommend this product. We really love ours…..even with one set of melted handles….lol, still worth every cent :).

The product arrived promptly and was packaged very well. I had the opportunity to use the equipment this past weekend and was impressed. It’s small and light enough that it didn’t feel like such a hassle to carry while hiking. Everything fits together perfectly. As for actual use, I didn’t have a proper stove, so I cooked directly on some embers/a small flame. Because of this, I was scared the paint on the pans would burn off, but it didn’t happen. There were some scorch marks, but that’s expected. The handles weren’t directly over the heat, so it didn’t hurt grabbing them directly, though I would use some caution and maybe grab them with a napkin or some sort of cloth.Cooking with the pans was easy. The heat distributed well and the lamb patties we made for our trip were cooked evenly throughout. The extra goodies included with the kit were all very useful as well, though I did get rid of the sponge after its first use (the sponge wasn’t a loofah like other reviewers had). Everything included was just convenient to have in the end. I was a little deterred by the fact that it was made in China, but after using, I quickly got over that feeling.Also, extremely impressed with their customer service. Adam, one of the co-founders, was very friendly talking to and responded personally to my emails. I’m happy with my purchase and am excited to continue to use this kit 🙂

Good little set for 2 people. Compact, I really miss Teflon but you just learn not to burn your food. I love the folding spoon, I would like 2 total course I could eat with the wooden spoon. It catches heat well from that wide bottom and I always love a lid. Lid don’t fit skillet but if food is solid it can sit on the food. A cook kit is as flexible as its user. For price I have no complaints. Brother and I will eat well.

Bought this kit for section hiking and it didn’t disappoint. If you’re a car camper you will want something bigger. Because we’re backpackers and weight and space is a factor, we ditched the frying pan, bowls and utensils and we only use the pot and lid. Our stove and some other odds and ends fit perfect inside the pot and all of it goes in the included stuff sack. Even though we only use the pot, the kit was still a good deal because just a pot alone will cost more than this whole kit at an outdoor supply store. The aluminium pot has a non-stick surface that is easy to wipe out. We use the pot to boil water over a backpacking stove and it’s perfect for that. If you cook over an open fire this kit is not for you, get cast iron. Because this is relatively thin aluminum I wouldn’t recommend it for gourmet cooking as it would be very easy to scorch anything that was not real wet. This kit is perfect for Boy Scouts on weekend getaways and it will work for serious hikers if you pare it down.

This is great!It’s VERY light weight. I’ve read some reviews about icky handles…. so here’s my take.The handles make a weird noise when opening/closing them, which makes me a little worried about the quality and how long they will last. If they don’t last, then I can’t use them….if I can’t use them I can’t use this and if I can’t use this then I’d need to get something else.While I heard creaky noises, they weren’t wobbly and were very stable. Nothing was warped, and I don’t think the handles will break if I use it carefully.I haven’t used them over a fire yet, so I’ll update when I do.These aren’t top-quality, but they’re top-quality for the price I paid. I’d get them again. 🙂

Honestly didn’t expect much out of this but it’s fantastic. The pan may as well be non stick, I cooked Mac and cheese on my stove top and it cooked like a kitchen pan. The little wood spoon is actually nice. The ladle is kinda dumb but I haven’t used it. It would do the job just fine. One simple but big design flaw is the handle on the lid. You pinch it with your fingertips and it’s hard not to touch the lid which is hot. It’s not the end of the world but I think they could do better on that. Otherwise I’m more than happy with it. It’s a well crafted product.

The 2L is a perfect size for 2 adult campers. I really enjoy minimalist camping and this mess kit is perfect for keeping with my standards of packing as little as I can for camping trips. It’s a saucepan and skillet with a spork, paddle and two bowls. I even season the pots after each use which has made them nonstick and easy to clean.

Bought this based on other reviews and because was looking for something compact and practical for our camping trips. Still not tested but everything seems quality made and also like that it comes in a pouch for easy carry and storage so you dont have to be looking for pieces everywhere. Going on a trip in two weeks so will show it off to my friends. Bought two of them and the only thing I could find that I would add would be a little plastic bottle, like hotel shampoo, to bring some liquid soap added to the kit.

The collapsible ladle that comes with this set was PERFECT for serving up the gravy at “backpacking Thanksgiving.”Yes, the pot is tiny. But it’s a good size for heating up coffee water for 2, or making a meal for 1-2 people. The tiny bowls were the perfect backpacking dog bowl size for my 25 lb terrier. The short wooden spoon was also quite useful.I’m pretty happy with what I got for the price.

This is a very nice set for backpacking. Very lightweight. Love the handles. Cooked a meal for my husband of noodles and mash potatoes the day I received. Was very pleased with the results. Was able to boil about a cup and half of water to pour on potatoes in bowl and was able to cook a package of Knox noodles in the larger pan, letting it sat to finish cooking with the lid on.Perfect size. Also love the extras that comes with this set. Used both the wooden spoon for stirring and the ladle for dipping.Probably will not use the bowls on a backpacking trip, they are lightweight but just a little too small for a meal.Sponge is nice for cleaning. These pans washed up very easily

the MallowMe “Camping Cookware & Mess Kit” arrived on time from Amazon and I’ve already used it. Pretty nice set. So far I’ve cooked a rice and chicken mix and scrambled eggs during our Scout meeting as a demo getting ready for an outing . Very pleased with the kit’s performance. Heated evenly and clean-up was minimal. I was confused as to the “Bamboo handle spoon”. I used it as a spatula-did well. The “bonus” spork is much appreciated and the folding spoon is a nice design. Have not tried the loofah as everything wiped out easily so far.I can highly recommend the kit so far. Appears to be a very good value with excellent performance at reasonable weight. Also liked the handle design.

Pretty nifty set. I haven’t applied any heat to its underside just yet. It looks as if it’s made of non-stick Teflon and the handles for the pots are aluminum/probably a lightweight green Teflon material. To my surprise it has a metal spoon, a few sipping cups and sponge scourging pad for cleaning. From a stowage perspective it’s REALLY small, lightweight and fits well on my motorcycle storage spot with the rest of my gear. It’s as big around as my fingers/hand and about 5 inches tall when it’s packed together. Wife says it’s really cute and will do the trick when I travel. For now, 5 stars.

I have been camping and backpacking since I was a little kid. I have used many products with varying degrees of satisfaction. I purchased your backpacking cook kit as a gift for our families Christmas exchange. When it arrived I had to check it out and make sure it would be a great gift for the exchange. Let me tell you I love it! Ithe fits nicely into a compact bundle easily able to put back together again and even comes with the tools needed to make a meal for two and clean up too. I shared my find with my 35 yr old son who immediately wanted to take it out for a trial run. It’s compact enough to pack and with the nylon carrying bag you can hang it from your pack or use to store easily with the other gear without needing any additional pans. I know this will be a hit present for our families Christmas exchange. Now I need to decide do I need to get another one for me.

The MalloMe cookware kit is wonderful! Super lightweight and compact, it will be all you need for any cooking while camping or backpacking for two people. I have yet to use them, but I know they will last a while.The pans are nonstick, and the serving spoon and eating utensil pack down in addition to the pans. All are easy to grip, and I appreciate MalloMe including a small wooden spatula, as well as the eating bowls and sponge. I like that the pot has 0.25L, 0.5L, and 0.75 L marks inside on the wall…very helpful.My only worry is that the nonstick coating might scratch off after a while of use, but that is to be expected with even kitchen pots and pans over time. Overall, I am very happy with my MalloMe cookware mess kit, and will probably be purchasing more products from them in the future.(P.S. MalloMe is a small, family business…so awesome! I love supporting small businesses!)

It is great for packing light and is an alright size for a single person. I like that its all packable together and that it does not stick like I was expecting it to. I’m getting older and lugging cast iron camp gear around is no longer feasible. I use these with a single burner propane camp stove on a boat so I can have a hot meal on the lake and also at the campsite as I do alotnof solo adventures. I have several mallowme product and they work great!

I just got this item. However, it is well built and just the right size for me to take backpacking. Compact and not too heavy. I look forward to many wonderful camping trips with my new cook kit! Update: August 12, 2017: I have now had a chance to use my new cook kit, and was VERY pleased with it. The pot holds enough water to make 2 12 ounce cups of coffee and still have enough for some oatmeal too. It balances well on my compact “primus-clone” stove, and heated quickly. The fry pan is just slightly off balance with the handles extended until such time as there is some food in it. (One egg was enough to make it stable) but the surface was slick enough to not have the egg stick while cooking once just barely greased with a swipe from a stick of butter. The little paddle spoon/scraper cooking tool makes cooking easy and keeps the pans scratch free. The entire kit cleans up easily with the enclosed scrubber, which was actually a small disc shaped plastic scrubby as opposed to a loofa piece. I prefer this since that can be sterilized once home and used for a long time, loofas cannot. The included bowl/cups ARE small, but would be fine for sipping soup or eating smaller portions of a meal while the remainder keeps warm in the pot beside a campfire, and held my scrambled egg perfectly. In all, I am very happy with my new MalloMe Camping Cookware Kit with Folding Spork, Nylon Bag and E-Book. I would recommend it to any budget minded camper looking for some moderately lightweight cooking gear.

I used this for my Pacific Crest Trail hike. I used it twice a day for 1800 miles of trail.I used only the pot and got rid of everything else to save weight. I used it with the Coleman Peak 1 Butane stove for all my meals.The lid was snug trapping heat expediting boiling. I never had any issues burning my hands with the handles.I heated water for coffee, ramen soup, and my daily Knorr pasta/rice dish. The pot was a perfect size for one person dishes on my backpack trip.I think people are right to be concerned about the plastic handles when it comes to campfires. I did cook over campfires on a few occasions. You certainly need to keep the handles away from flames and avoid bigger fires that may wrap over the lid. I took these common sense precautions and my pot held up fine.I was very happy with it. The weight rivals much more expensive titanium pots at a substantially lower price.

We used this for an overnight backpacking/camping trip. Mostly used for heating water for freeze-dried meals, but sometimes used to cook food in the dishes. The nonstick surface makes it an easy cleanup. Worked great.

We used this set last weekend camping and it was awesome! At first when I saw the little scrubbie, I thought it was overkill and that it would be useless. I was wrong! That thing came in so handy cleaning up our bowls and the cookware. Everything in this little set was useful and got the job done. If I could make 2 small suggestions, they would be: 1. Label the size of the white plastic bowl (ex: 1 cup, 1/2 cup, whatever it is) or on the pot, so we can accurately measure 1 cup. 2. The wooden spoon is cute, but the handle is wicked short, therefore tough to use. Having said that, I highly recommend this set to anyone looking! I was about to buy a different set, which was twice the price, and I am so grateful I came across this one for half the price! Lightweight and very well made.

Great, packable, lightweight cookware. This set is flexible, allowing you to take the items you need to adjust your weight. Only need to boil water? Just take the pot and lid. Want to boil and cook? Take the pan and bamboo spoon. It’s sturdy, well-made, and you can fit one of the smaller fuel canisters in the pot, if you leave the other stuff out.Note for the pictures: I’m a giant guy at 6’7″ 250lbs, so my hands make the cookware look a bit smaller than it is.

I’m just getting into the world of backpacking, and after poring over reviews settled on this mess kit. We had a chance to use it overnight and were quite pleased with the amount of food we were able to make for two of us.We cooked up rice in the larger pot, which consisted of 1 cup of water and 1 cup of rice, with plenty of room to spare. The only complaint, albeit minor, is that the serving bowls are entirely too small. It would have been better to just leave them out of the kit. We ended up splitting the meals between the two pots and using wooden spoons to eat from the pots instead of the tiny bowls. We’re going to use the extra space to store food and spices.They clean up very easily and are very easy to store back in the bag and pack.

Light weight, modular so I can only take what I need. Transfers heat well. So far, I’ve boiled water (from room temp to cold water), fried bacon, fried eggs, cooked chicken, and then we stress tested the finish…. I cooked steel cut oatmeal. It did fine. Then, I burnt the same oatmeal. The finish stood up to what will ultimately be teenager cooking on short backpacking trips. The only things I’ve added to the kit is a small bottle of soap and a ziplock snack bag for the sponge and soap. All tests were conducted on a MSR Whisperlite, and an Ozark trail propane stove and did fine on both. Very happy with the MalloMe cookware kit, I hope to use it for the next few years!

I have received my cookware set. Unfortunately I wont be using it till spring. But I can give you some feed back on what I’ve seen so far. I’m an avid backpacker and most of my trips are multiple days . It is a nice package for the price, but to be honest I bought the set only for the pot, lid, pan & carry bag the other things I really don’t have a need for since most of the food today you just add water. As you should know if your putting out hiking/backpacking equipment (The Lighter The Better). I also like the coated handles and bag it comes with, I own 5 backpacks I have already added this cookware set to 2 of them and probably will be adding them to those other 3 bags. Minus the other stuff it comes with the pot, lid, pan &bag only weigh 0.67 lbs / 10.72 oz. I have seen many of the same kind of sets for the same price but none have offered a 10 pc. and most do not have a bag. Looking forward to seeing what gear you’ll be putting out in the future. Nice price nice sturdy product. We’ll see how they hold up out in the wilderness.. I’ll add in use pictures in the spring if I can… Happy Trails

I have been backpacking and camping my whole life (at least as far back as I can remember) and have spent months at a time out in the wilderness. I am an Eagle Scout and served in the US Marine Corps so I’m no stranger to compact outdoor cookware. I have owned several sets in the past but this one, thus far, has been the best yet. I have only gotten to use it a few times as I just received it but it has everything I need and nothing I don’t! Whether it’s on an open campfire or my backpacking stove, I haven’t had any issues with sticking and everything feels really well made and durable. From now on, anytime I’m out in the woods, this will be the cook set I take with me!

I don’t have a camp stove, so I used this over an open fire. I had been worried that the handles were cheap plastic that would melt as soon as the fire licked them, but they’re quite sturdy. I stuck the pot in the hot coals to boil about six different pots of water, and while the handles discolored and got warm, they didn’t deform or melt at all. I wound up cooking dinner for me and a friend as well as cooking breakfast the next morning, and these performed admirably.

I’ve owned this cook set for close to 3 years. I’ve taken it camping, backpacking, and on day trips to cook up a little something to eat. It’s never failed me. I’ve boiled water, cooked meat, potatoes, hotdogs, eggs, and more. I’ve even used it once over a fire stove when I forgot my stove at home.Trust me, buy the product and you will not regret it. Product exceeded my expectations as a light weight camp set to take with fishing tournaments where camping will be done. I have not used it yet but the construction appears to be quality and very light for a backpacker or weekend hiker. Advertised as nonstick stainless steel construction which should clean up easily.I upgraded the 1 liter pot that was standard to the 3 liter size and this should meet all my cooking needs. The fry pan is about 1 inch deep which will handle small burgers, steaks and breakfast items.I recommend this item.

Just did a quality testing in my home before taking this out backpacking. I made malt-o-meal which is by far not the easiest thing for pots to handle. It handled it flawlessly, no burnt wheat at the bottom that even happens with normal pots. Just great. Even used the wood spatula as a spoon and it was great.

I car camp, backpack, and hike. I cook with cast iron, stainless, aluminum, anodized aluminum, and titanium. I cook with a wide variety of fuels for a wide variety of meals (from coffee to complete meals). This set compliments my gear collection perfectly. Before I purchase anything I read the description including size/dimensions and reviews. I am thoroughly satisfied with this product (craftsmanship, weight, size) and its versatility with all my stoves and fuels.To the people that complain it’s small, I guess it is compared to a 14-inch cast iron skillet, however it is extremely large compared to a child’s tea set…the problem I see is the complainers do not read.I am very satisfied with the product and may purchase additional kits as; 1) starter kits for friends that are beginning a gear collection, 2) my friends that could use this as a complimentary kit to their off-road/off-trail kitchen, and 3) myself for multiple kitchen kits. Usually I am very against anything aluminum for food preparation, but I took a chance when I saw this for a black friday deal because it is anodized. For backpacking and camping, this will work well. The weight is appropriate and the design is fairly well thought out.Pros:- Light weight for backpacks and toting it around- A nice carry bag is included that helps to keep everything compact and quiet (I practically silenced mine by including my cleaning handkerchief inside and around some of the items).- Handles are sturdy to reduce spillage and burns- The unit packs together well, regardless of how you arrange things.- The ladle is a nice touch for soups and hot water dispensing- Wood scraping tool and cleaning sponge are great additions, and not included in other comparable sets.- BPA free is good for me!Criticism:- The spork (I believe comes free) was just ok. Was not overly comfortable to eat from or use (sharper edges & loose), as I would have preferred a silicone or similar spork instead, but hey it was free so I will be grateful. I did sand down the edges and put some pressure on the clips and that helped a LOT.- The cups are really small for eating out of. A child would be the ideal user of them, but for adults they are too small. Given that this is marketed for children like scouts and “also” adults, I feel this is not a reason to deduct any rating.Overall, this little set is well thought out, user friendly, and does have merit by usage of good anodizing instead of bare aluminum. I look forward to putting some more meals through this to see how it holds up, but I am confident that it will. I also have to mention that the company is very eager to receive feedback and respond to inquiries – so MalloMe earns points with me for that. This is a great mess set that I will recommend that anyone getting into backpacking or camping try – especially younger people.

This product was perfect, for me. It’s a small folding pan setup, with flip out handles and an extra pan. One is more of a stew/soup/boil pan, one is more akin to a fryer. It also comes with two nice, stacking plastic cups inside (for portioning, eating or drinking – I used mine as a water cup) and a spork. They all fit back together, quick, and then into an included carrying sack, with a rope-close end. It worked great for me, as I was alone on this trip.For 2-3 folks – buy one for each person, you’ll be great!

Love this mess kit. Comes with a folding spork, ladle, two mini “bowls”, a small loofah for cleaning your kit, a wooden spatula for stirring, a saucepan, skillet and lid. Used it on a camping trip to Shenandoah. Lightweight, packs small. Only disadvantage is that the lid doesn’t sit nicely on top of the skillet, it’ll fall down into it rather than rest on top like it does the sauce pan. Oh well. Definitely not a deal-breaker for me. Clean-up is easy too. It’s pretty non-stick, never had to use oil on any of my food I cooked. As long as I scraped at the bottom of the pan with the wooden spatula that came with, nothing stuck.

Love this, it’s the perfect size for fitting in a backpack, and I like that is comes with a little carrying case to keep it all together. My wooden (bamboo) spoon had a bit of a longer handle than the one pictured, which I like. I would say be careful when collapsing the ladle though, because if you try to fold the metal back it feels like it would just break. My husband ended up pinching the handle together and removing it that way and then putting it back together.

I have yet to use this over an open fire, but I think this is going to meet my needs perfectly! I love how LIGHT and COMPACT this set is, in addition, it came in a perfectly sized little draw-string baggie. I am so pleased with the handles folding in on the sides as they do, what a great design! My husband was thrilled when I had him unwrap the package to find our next campfire adventure set waiting for us. :)Great design, I look forward to testing it out over open flames.

I’ve read reviews where some have said it’s a “doll – set”, I’m no giant, but nor am I an average size man. For me and my purposes it was plentiful. I camp solo. I read the product description, and the item is true as advertised. I received what I wanted and the mess kit is as I expected. As others have said the plastic serving trays (if you can call them that) are useless to me. I cut the cleaning loofah in half and got rid of the items I’ll never use, it excess weight I don’t need. Even my gas tank fits in there, all stood neatly in one place, and inside the included stuff sack.

I bought this mess kit for solo camping, but it would also be good for two people – though you would need an additional spork for that, or share. This set has everything you need, even a scrubby for clean up. It’s well designed for compact carrying/backpacking. If you needed to pack lighter, you could simply leave out the frying pan, spoons and bowls, and eat out of the pot itself. The plastic pot handles are good for gripping and insulating from the heat. I had a similar but cheaper pot that had bare metal handles that would heat up terribly, even on a camp stove, and would occasionally fall off when transferring the pot from the stove! The handles on these two pots are on firmly, so would be safe to use for anyone. One more note: The large pot has three liquid measurement marks stamped into the metal: .25L, .5L and .75L., with 1L being full to the rim. That’s very helpful when you’re boiling water for dehydrated backpacking meals or anything else needing a precise amount of water. This would help conserve water, since many people use their filtered drinking water for their cooking as well.

This camping mess kit came just as described. It cooks quite well and is easy to clean. The accessories provided are very convenient, especially the folding spork (made of steel so I don’t have to worry about melting it near the flame or stirring meal contents). I haven’t used the plastic ladle yet, so I cannot comment on it. It’s super-light and the bag is very helpful. The wooden spoon is cut such that it can reach the contours of the pot. This is a minor detail, but one that is very important to me. I hate to waste food just because it’s stuck in the corner of my cookware. This mess kit doesn’t “lock” together when you stack the various components. I was hoping for this feature, but it’s not stated anywhere in the product description so I can’t knock the product. The bag does a good enough job of holding it all together. The pot lid handle is a bit small for my fumbling hands, so I have to direct extra attention to ensure I don’t drop it while handling by that green knob. The last thing I’ll say is that getting the accessories back into the pots for “transport configuration” is not an hour-long game of Tetris. It’s quite simple and takes mere seconds, in fact.I am very happy with this product and would recommend this to any camper out there.

I spent hours researching cookware kits for backpacking and reading different reviews on many products. Most of the products run between $40 and $100, but this one was listed for $20. I didn’t want to spend a lot of money, but needed something. I also wanted to find something that I could recommend to my Boy Scouts. I am a Boy Scout Leader. I bought this and when it arrived, I actually liked how small it was. It is perfect for a one-person kit, which is what the boys would need. I took it up backpacking this last weekend. The pot worked great for boiling water and as a wash basin afterwords. I used the frying pan as a plate to eat out of and it was perfect for that. I didn’t cook anything in the pan, but I imagine it would work well. The non-stick coating made cleaning the pan super easy with the the little scrub pad that is provided. The little bowls, I used for hot chocolate. I actually wish they were more designed as cups instead of bowls, but they worked. This is great and will recommend this product to my Boy Scout Troop. This works great for one person. It would be small for two. The handles are nicely insulated so you can hold a hot pot without a potholder. Easy to clean. The spork that was included doesn’t stay in the extended position well because the prongs that hold it out were a little short. But I didn’t buy it for the spork. The ladle is surprisingly useful. It can double as a large soup spoon or for transferring hot water to your Melitta coffee maker.. The wooden spatula is great for stirring things and can be used for manipulating a scrubber when it is too cold to get your hands wet. Don’t expect to make gourmet meals with this kit, it is basically for boiling water, heating things up and frying an egg in the morning. And don’t plan on cooking for a crowd. But for a solo camper, it works great.

I haven’t had the opportunity to test it out in the “field” per say, but I will review it none the less. This is purely on first impression with opening the product, fooling around with it in my kitchen, and showing it off to my brother.What surprised me about this was the size of it. All of the other camping gear that I’ve used over the years were way bigger, but I guess this is used primarily for individual camping trips where it’s suitable for one or two people (at max) unless you want to cook for a while. The materials and construction seem very sturdy. The handles are easily operable.I can’t wait to test out this cookware in the field. It’s currently TOO hot in Texas to go camping, so I’ll have to wait until the fall, unless I can get up to the mountains.Please hold of further testing…..

Im taking this on my 7 day ride to Sturgis in 3 weeks. Ive been testing it out with the food I plan to eat. I was able to cook eggs with no problems. I also cooked some Knorr pasta dishes as well. They all came out very well. One note though, watch your food while it cooks! I accidentally burned my food a little and it stuck to the bottom of the pot. I was kinda glad it happened so I can see if I could clean it up. I added water to the pot and boiled it, stirring with the wooden spoon. It cleaned up nicely. Always use a wooden spoon so you dont scratch anything.Its important to use a burner that spreads out the heat and not in one concentrated spot. I have the popular chinese burner but its better for s,all solo cups. I also have a pocket rocket. You can put larger pots on it but it is still better for boiling. If you plan to cook eggs or other things you dont want to burn, try the coleman peak 1 burner.

This combo is awesome! The burner is larger to spread out the heat better. Its not as small as most of the other backpacking stoves but Im not backpacking either. I dont have to count every ounce. For a couple of people motorcycle camping, this will suit you perfectly.

Received this product yesterday, it is exactly as advertised. It has been well designed for light weight hiking, fits easily into my pack, and despite having so much in it, there is still room to add small utensils if one spork is not enough. I added another sponge in case its needed and a small thing of camping dish soap as well, and it still closes as if it was not in it. I tested this at home (as I do before I hit the trail with anything) and it cooks well and cleans easy. The travel bag holds everything together nicely without adding much bulk at all. I do wish that there was a plan B for the pans and lid to be held together in case I lose the bag, but if that happens I will tie a string around it.I was initially nervous about how tight down the pot handle was, thinking I would burn my fingers when hot, I did not notice this to be an issue. If I find it a concern I found that you can use the included spork and hook it under the handle and lift it off that way very simply.

My son needed a lightweight and sturdy cookset/mess kit for scout camping. This is way better than the basic aluminum mess kits of days gone by. Lighter, can cook over stove or fire. The scrubbing sponge and ladle are not too useful, and I wish it had measurements for grams/oz to fill the pot with water properly. But otherwise useful and durable. Can fit a 4 oz butane/propane canister and a small stove in the pot if you leave out the bowls as well.

I have yet to cook an actual meal but the quality of the product seems fantastic and it’s priced right. I loved how well everything is thought out. It’s a great value and believe it or not the small carrying case makes all the difference in the world, I have a Stanley kit too but this one is much more convenient to carry.Update* after using this a few times I can still recommend it. I recently went kayak camping and I made Mac and cheese in the pot and and an egg scramble in the pan. The stove flames even licked the handles more than I’d like and it didn’t melt. Sure this isn’t an MSR set but i think it’s a great budget item.

Most of my backpacking has been in situations where I cook for just my self, I have a set up with a cup and a pot that attach together. Recently my wife started joining me, we have only a total of 8 nights out so far, however it was clear early I was going to need something just a bit larger to cook for two. This set worked rather well so far. I can cook one of those packages of Knorr noddles or rice, then mix in a can of chicken.. all in the bigger pot then split it into the pan to share.My first reaction was to toss the stuff in side to make room for a gas canister, however I am glad I didn’t as those cups are small.. but at least you don’t burn your lips on them if you drinking hot coffee, and that small wooden spatula was useful as well for scraping the bottom when cooking those noodles.It would have been great if they included two of those folding sporks .. then it would be even better. But it was as advertised and worked well so far.

My camping cookware arrived the other day and although I still have another four weeks before I leave on my camping trip I opened the kit to check it out. I am impressed with the quality of the product! It is well constructed and sturdy while being light weight. It all fits together into a nice, compact unit with everything bestseller inside the pits. I love this mess kit. It has all you need for a backpacking trek. They contents are light weight and fold into one another very easily. They are easy to store and pack. I like the look with the grey and neon green. They hold enough for one to two campers to cook their food together at the same time. The pack also come with an spoon or fork contraption, wooden spoon, soup spoon, and cleaning sponge. It is very nice to have these included because having to buy these small things after start to add up. I can’t wait to go on a long trek with this new cookware.

Great kit. We made ramen, biscuits and gravy, mac n cheese, breakfast burritos, and much more using these for the first time on our last backpacking excursion. The utensils it comes with are useful, but I honestly would’ve preferred a plastic spork over a metal one. I don’t like feel like I’m going to scrape the non-stick surface off when I eat directly from the pan. Great pot and pan set.Took it camping up in the Boundary waters for a few days and it got the job done. Packs nicely. Don’t let fire get too close to the green handles though because it can melt the plastic. Bowls are on the small side but pack nicely into the pot. Don’t really need the rest of the utensils but they are good bonus. Can’t speak for the longevity/durability just quite yet.

Really cool mess set here. I got this for my upcoming Grand Canyon trip and a little camping stove, really light weight, and has a little carrying bag that comes with it.Update: I finally got to use this set in action, it works GREAT! I just used them on my MSR Pocket Rocket to Make tea and oats. The pot held nearly 2 bottles of water, with the rockets help boiled fast and didn’t leave a burn stain and even was cool to the touch after very little time. Was a great buy! Looking into more of there products!

This cookware set is great for the price. It was very durable, and pretty spacious. It compacts well to fit in, or attached to a backpack for hiking and camping. I used this on a 6 night camping trip in the Western UP of Michigan, and it helped me every single day. I was able to boil water in at and also cook my dinner. They aren’t huge, so I couldn’t boil a ton of water.The only things I didn’t like about this product were the cleaning sponge that it came with, and that they are not non-stick. The price is right though, so i can understand why they are not non-stick. The sponge lasted me one clean, and then I had to toss it. I cooked fish, and the fish smell lingered on it.

I actually never thought I would attempt to wax eloquent over a camping messkit, but you’re in to single-burner (e.g. MSR) super-light camping, this little collection of stuff is brilliant. I thought my old, banged-up cook kit was small; this is even more compact, but perfect, with a separate pot for boiling water and a pot for eating out of (with its own lid), and a foldable spork and a little wooden mixing spoon (the “wooden” part is, honestly, adorable), and a ladle and a sponge and two plastic cups. I may still have to default to my old Sierra-cup cups, but maybe not. . .Great stuff.

In short, I am extremely satisfied with the Mess kit. It is lightweight, yet durable, and the pan/plate is a great size, As well as the pot. I will have to say my favorite 2 items though, are the wooden sauce spoon, and the ladle.Great little kit and very lightweight. I am a big outdoorsman, and backpacker. I live in the heart of the Allegheny National Forest in PA.The only suggestion I have is, the two little white cups, get rid of them entirely, or make one large cup.With the size I couldn’t see them being practical, but I could if it was one large cup. Maybe even a measuring cup, that would be Very useful. I took them out, as I would probably never use them, I am 100% satisfied though with your product. Keep doing good work!

This this is much smaller that you think, and you might be a little disappointed if it’s the first time you’ve purchased compact cooking gear. I thought it looked like play kitchen gear.But it works great and it is very high quality! I used it to cook scrambled eggs on my last trip. I was able to beat 3 eggs at a time in one of the 2 plastic bowls. The non-stick coating performs very well. Just a little bit of butter in there and using the included wooden spoon I made perfect eggs. I was doing 3 at a time but the pan can also handle 4 I’m sure.

I just tested it out on a stove since i haven’t had a chance to go camping. This is a great sturdy set and very light! The big pot, I was able to cook 6 eggs and 6 breakfast sausages all at once without a mess and for the pan I was able to easily and quickly cook a few eggs. I live in 7000ft elevation, so the water takes a little longer to boil, but it didn’t have any burn marks at the bottom from being on the stove longer than normal. It’s very easy to clean, and the extras that come with it are very useful. Can’t wait to try it out camping.

We received the cookware in a couple days. I bought it for my 11 year old son to use on his first Boy Scout backpacking trip. He was so excited to have his own cookware. He loved how light it was and it worked great. It was very light for him to carry. Weight is definitely a factor for him. He has only used the pot to boil water so far. It boiled quickly. He uses dried food rations for his meals. He even uses the pot to store his small camp stove, fuel and collapsible cup. It all fits nicely in the storage bag that it all comes in. It is very space efficient. He is looking forward to using the pan to make real meals on other trips that we have coming up.

I waited to review until we had some real-work usage with these sets (bought two for backpacking with my son). A+! Thank you for putting this set together and selling for a reasonable cost! I’ve posted pictures of fist and second backpacking trips using this set. Now for a little critique and/or suggestion: Cut about a quarter inch off the spatula handle so it will fit into the set without calling on God or cursing. Throw away to scrubber the set comes with and cut a typical kitchen scrubber sponge in half and place it in the set. Both of our supplied scrubbers started falling apart during the first trail-side use. All-in-all, with just a couple minor tweaks, this set is awesome!

We love this cooking set and use it on quick camping trips where we don’t want to ring a lot of supplies. The set comes with everything you need; pot, pan, bowls, ladle, silverware and sponge. We share just one set between two people since usually we are cooking over a single flame when backpacking. The set cooks the food nicely and keeps the food warm after cooking. The set is also easy to clean up. The size is also great because it easily fits in a pack.

I have received the mess kit. I’m very happy with it so far. It’s not much bigger than the crappy cheap aluminum one I have so that’s nice as far as space is concerned. Also I haven’t weighed it, but by hand it barely feels heavier than my old one and has more pieces to offer inside. I have not tested it in the field, but I have a winter camping trip coming up soon where I’ll really be able to put it to the test and provide the proper feedback. After telling one of the guys that will be attending the trip about the mess kit, that convinced him to buy the set as well. The trip was supposed to be this weekend, but it got pushed back to next month. I will have to provide more feedback after it is used. Looking forward to using it in the field. I appreciated the fact that the Co-Founder of the company reached out to me to make sure I was happy with the product and get my feedback.

These are fantastic! I’ve used these on my Coleman camp stove and they seem to work great so far. The plastic coating on the handles prevents you from burning yourself and have held up to the heat. Also, the small size and portability is perfect for the wife and I. I would recommend these for campers or backpackers. Since we are campers we do not travel light, we have plenty of cooking equipment that we carry along. The included spork, sponge, spatula, ect are not a need for us but would server well for a backpacker/hiking person and are a very thoughtful addition to the set. I did test the spork and wooden spatula, they both functioned well.

Great kit to have for backpacking or camping. Can be used to cook up stuff for one person…cooking stuff for two people might be a stretch. Light and very compact when tucked away in its pouch and it won’t take up much space.This kit came with a bunch of stuff not mentioned in the product description or even on the box. A fire starter, a cheap compass wrist band, folding spoon and fork (they do mention the spork that’s included), even a really simple nozzle to attach to a gas canister (I would assume it’s for propane but I can’t confirm that).I haven’t tested it in the field yet but the product seems sturdy enough for its purpose and is a good value for the price.

I LOVE the cooking set! I actually took it backpacking right after I got it and it was the perfect size for one person. The bowls are just right for oatmeal in the morning and the larger pot was the right size to cook enough rice and lentils for two people. The handles are wonderfully sturdy and all the utensils that came with the set collapse to a nice size and are easily light enough to carry. I loved that the set had a ladle for it, I’m not sure I’ve seen a collapsible ladle before. I used it with my jetboil stove (and a pot adapter) and it worked very well. I also liked that the carry bag was not mesh so it kept out dirt and critters.

I used this cook set this past weekend on a camping trip with the boy scouts. As soon as this item arrived, I opened it up and checked it out. I wanted to cook on it just to see if it really did cook even and if things would stick to it. I cooked an egg on the stove that I would be backpacking with. I sprayed it with cooking spray first and then put the egg in it. The stove I have is a butane/propane mix backpacking stove. It’s pretty much like a blow torch so it gets pretty hot in one spot. The egg was cooking really quick right over the burner and so I lifted up the pan and kind of moved it around over the flame. When it was time to flip it, it flipped very easily. No stick worked great at least with the spray on it. I didn’t cook food on it while camping but I did boil water on it and used it for eating out of and I really like it. I’ll be buying another set for my boys backpacking trips.

I bought this camping/backpacking cookware set to add to my disaster emergency car box. (I live in the center of the Cascadia Subduction Zone…gah!). I wanted something compact, sturdy and handy. I researched on Amazon, and the purchaser reviews on this set sold me. It arrived a couple days ago, and is exactly what I need to heat water for drip coffee and MREs.Be aware, this a one-person kit, ideal for a single person like myself.

I finally got the opportunity to use this set this weekend, and loved it. The kit is very compact and very easy to lug around with me. I love how the small pot fits nicely within the bigger pot. We used it mainly to heat up water, so I can’t speak to the cooking experience, but the set held up nicely. We used it on a butane stove as well as on a grate over coals and felt both worked great. I don’t think the handles will hold up well to high heat though so we were careful to keep them angled away from direct heat. They cleaned up nicely, and were a breeze to throw back together and into the bag. Overall, I think this product is great and I will get a ton of use out of it this summer!

The item arrived on time and was exactly as described. It’s incredibly lightweight and compact. Perfect for everything from a bug out bag to extended camping. I’m thinking of getting a set for the car so I always have it in there, and having the first set for regular use. One of the guys I work with also has the same piece of kit and loves it. I particularly like the bag it comes in with the solid cord. I can hook it to the outside of the backpack if I’m carrying a full load.
