While we did not end up getting our griddle from Amazon due to a supplier issue, we did get one elsewhere. We have had it about 10 months and use it a few times per week. It has been fine so far. Most likely my occasional poor cooking results are due to me still learning how to cook different things on a griddle rather than on a grill. Would recommend buying one.

Wanted to love this grill. But it consistently does not get hot enough camping to even cook our eggs. On line it says the regulator has a safety on it that if you turn the propane on to quickly the safety restricts the flow. Maybe I have a bad regulator but so far this grill has under performed. Contacted black stone. Will update with the results.**** Update**** Blackstone sent a new regulator. Worked well two times and now is doing the same thing. I have a 19.00 Weber table top grill that out performs the blackstone. Save you money.very disappointed.

I bought this with the hood/lid for my husband for his birthday and he loves it! He cooks every thing on it, Bacon, Burger, Steak, breakfast items, etc. We have taken it camping and it is perfect for us. It is a bit heavy, but it is well made and why it is heavy. If you are looking for a great grill, this is the one!! Easy to use as well. Blackstone makes a stand for this grill too which we have as well, I recommend getting that too.

Hard to find fault with this gem. Whether you use it for tailgating, camping or just on the patio it will make your life easier. Especially if you like to fry and don’t want the spatter all over your kitchen. As others have noted, it’s very important to season the griddle properly before use. I took the easy way out and used grapeseed oil to thinly coat the griddle and placed it in my gas grill at medium-high heat for 45 minutes. I then let it cool and repeated the process five times to get a good black surface. I then coated the surface with Camp Chef cast iron treatment and it was ready to go. Like all iron cookware, with proper care, the griddle will become more non-stick over time. If you plan on using it for tailgating or camping you’ll also want the optional Blackstone folding metal table that perfectly accompanies the unit. We don’t regret this purchase for a moment.

Perfect for 8 burgers. Buy the adapter for a normal size propane tank. I now only use my 36” grill for pancakes, bacon or parties. This grill is a better size for most uses for a family of 4.

Bought to take on extended camping trips. Seasoned and practiced on deck prior to trip. Absolutely great results from breakfast, lunch and dinner! Going to replace my regular bbq grill. Added the hood and leg kit. It is a ltttle big and heavy for camping but once set up you can cook for a crowd. Several other campers going to get one now. Doubles as a great home griddle too. Eating more vegetables done on the griddle now. Enjoying trying new recipes.

Love it! Works great and we’re learning as we go how to really fine tune the heat control aspect. With the propane flowing fully, the lowest heat setting on the griddle is scorching. We have to adjust the flow of the gas to more accurately control the flame/heat. Can’t imagine using high-heat on this thing. Lol Maybe we’re just dum-dums. That’s entirely possible. Ultimately, great product and hubby was absolutely thrilled to get it as his Father’s Day gift.

First: It just doesn’t have much difference between low and high settings for the two burners, the heat expands too well. Also the way the control knobs turn on the burners is not well designed in my opinion because 1/2 of the time I have to use an outside lighter to ignite it OR it may take many intends before they start, by then it smells too much like gas. The control knobs have a weird turn and stop point to trigger the igniter, but if it doesn’t start you have to go back to the off position. Second: I think the outlet to the grease collector is too big and some food actually escapes through the hole as you cook. I would buy something else but this unit fits where I need it.

I bought this for my RV but I use it at home a lot now as well. It’s great for breakfast, from pancakes, to bacon and sausage, even eggs (if you’re quick to direct the eggs away from the grease trap while when you first pour). I’ve made toasted sandwiches, & quesadillas, with it (a hit when winter camping). For dinner it excels at fajitas, or SMASH burgers (look it up, once you do Guga Foods’ Smash Burger you won’t make them any other way).Clean up is easy if you’ve seasoned it properly. I just turn off the heat, let it cool slightly for a minute, then squirt a little water on the surface and use a metal scraper, pushing everything to the grease trap. Then I squirt a tablespoon of oil on it and run a paper towel over it. In all that process takes me about 3 minutes. I’ve used mine at least 100 times so far and it still looks pretty clean.My only complaints are that it doesn’t get as hot as my friend’s Camp Chef griddle so it doesn’t sear steaks very well. (But this is much more space efficient for my RV). Also, while it does an ok job of heat distribution, my corners are not as hot as the center. No biggie for most things but you just need to keep it in mind.In the end is simply more versatile than a grill, and my RV doesn’t have room for both so this is the winner. I did buy an adapter so it can take a normal 5 gallon propane tank instead of the little Coleman ones.

This skillet is now my favorite cooking appliance in the house. Very easy to use and unlocks a whole new world of cooking possibilities. It says it’s for outdoor use only, but I mostly use it inside without burning the house down or dying from smoke inhalation, so I say it’s fine ;)Two things I would point out are that you will burn through the camping propane tanks, and the claim that it’s “portable” is questionable. You certainly could take it from place to place, and I have, but it’s quite heavy and bulky. Still a great product and a lot of fun to use.

It makes cooking and cleanup while camping a breeze. I was a little disappointed in the heat distribution, there seems to be a hot spot on one side of the griddle. I gave the griddle 5 coats of seasoning before use and there is no problem with food sticking at cleanup time.

I’ve worked in a kitchen before and always liked the ease of using a griddle to cook, but never thought about buying one for myself at home. Eventually, targeted advertisements showed me this product enough that I decided to buy the 22” version when it went on sale.When this griddle came I thought I made a mistake and should have bought the 17” version and almost sent it back because the box seemed so big and heavy, but i am so glad I didn’t. Anything bigger would be too much for me as i’d rarely cook for more than 4 people, but if necessary I could easily churn out burgers, gyros, cheesesteaks etc for 10-15+ people on this thing. I purchased the stand and love how good it looks. Depending on what you’re looking for the 17” may be just fine for u but having dual temperature control is great for warming buns/wraps while cooking the meats.The age old debate about what you should season a griddle/cast iron with will not be ended by me, but I would 100% recommend keeping it “simple” and using canola oil especially if you have never seasoned either before. I seasoned my griddle with two rounds of canola oil and then cooked a package of bacon for the third layer and threw some garlic, ginger, and scallions on the grill like id season a wok.The only slightly negative thing I have to say as some others have commented, the griddle surface could maybe be smoother, but In practicality the griddle is still super easy to clean and the slightly “rough” surface might actually help create a slightly better sear.I clean my griddle with a scraper (the blackstone one isn’t actually that good) and wipe clean with a layer of canola if I haven’t got it too dirty. If it gets really dirty I’ll use coarse salt, water and a scourge sponge.

Had it fired up and seasoning the grill, after a ten minutes simple assembly. Unpacking, screw on handle, and Align the pegs to top and bottom, fired it up and seasoned with canola oil on high for ten minutes . Had the Fijeta ingredients sliced and reedy to go… cut chicken cooking on one side, vegetables on the other. Both were done within10 minutes! Combined both and moved the whole lot to one side…. turn burner to low… the still hadPlenty of room to brown 6 – 6” tortillas on the other side..,., the diner was fabulous… everything cooked to protection! Love this grill !!! Only complaint is the flames went out twice, with small wind gusts… started back up ok both times. Too soon to tell if that will be a consistent problem? But as good as everything else was, I can live with that !

Overall, this is a great cooker. Cooks food amazing. However, extremely disappointed with the Seller. I purchased at 199.00 and the price dropped to 159.00 within a few days of purchase and Amazon and the Seller would not credit me back the amount difference. I love this griddle. I set it on top of my electric stove and it vents through the hood. I have cooked everything on it and it turned out great! Definitely condition it outside as it will smoke a lot. After it’s conditioned you’re good to go. Uses about 1 propane gallon for every three times I’ve used it. Overall I do enjoy cooking on the griddle. I would highly recommend buying the 20# tank adapter from Blackstone directly as the first one I bought off amazon was incorrect. I am also picking up the metal lid from Walmart as well. this cooks well and cleans up well to. perfect for camping or backyard cooking.

I bought the version with the hood. While it is very well made, it is also bulky and very heavy. It would be fine left in place on a stand or a table. But moving it in and out of my RV as we travel from campsite to campsite is a bit daunting, and I hesitate to take it out for one-night stays. May switch to a small propane camp stove with a separate griddle plate.

I would like to know how to get the glue residue off the grill cover. It came with a large sticker on it that was difficult to remove. Please advise. Seriously have tried to get that off for an hour. No luck.

Received it the day before our camping trip this weekend. We bought the 2 burner. Followed the instructions on seasoning the griddle. Very easy. We got to our destination. First morning made breakfast on it. Pan sausage and eggs. Had 24 sausage patties on it at once. Cooked them just right but also quickly. Scrambled eggs on it. About a dozen all at once. Turned out great. Later that evening we did burgers. I had 14 burgers going at once. Very efficient. Easy to clean. Just just pour water on it while it’s hot. Everything comes right off! Best thing we’ve added to our camper. Could be used at home also. I think it’s a great product.

I’ve had this grill for many months now. I love it. Take care of the grill surface. Clean it often. And it will cook everything.The power went out for a while. I cooked 3 meals a day on this. Grab yourself a 6-12’ hose adapter for a big tank. I never think about gas anymore. I just cook delicious food. When it’s empty. I go to the gas station down the street and swap it out.

I purchased because of the grease catch system as I cook a lot at race events. This grill cleans up with very little water needed. The grill is hottest in the middle where the elements are located and cooler toward the edges. I like it so much I purchased the 36” for the house.

I got my 17″ grill and tried it out quite a bit and never got a good flame. I tried everything and went to another camper to try my grill. I never got a good flame. I registered my grill and contact Blackstone. They immediately said that they will sent me a new valve control. I got it within days. I exchanged the valve control. I fired up the grill and I saw a lot more flame coming out and the flame adjusted with the turn of the dial. I finally got an opportunity to grill on it and man it worked soooooo good!!! Thank you Blackstone! It would have been nice to have it work right as soon as I took it out of the box, but things happen but Blackstone was quick to fix the issue. I would definitely buy another Blackstone Grill.

Just received the 22″ griddle. Unit is tweaked. One rivet holding the front to the side is barely holding, the second rivet is flopping in the breeze, never made it through the second hole. One of the two controls grinds when I turn it.Very dissapointed.UPDATE: Blackstone contacted me via email and requested pictures. Just received a replacement from Blackstone. I look forward to joining the rest of the happy Blackstone customers. Updated to 5 stars for making it right.

Love this grill! I like this a lot better than the 17” grill because I can control the heat on either side. This makes it a lot easier to cook foods that require different temperatures. Very easy to clean, but transporting it is a little bit of a pain. As far as I could find, Blackstone does not make a carrying bag for this grill. I also wish that when stored, that the grill would somehow attach to the base. As it is now, to keep them together, I have to put a conch strap around them. Still a good value for the money.

We are enjoying this griddle so much it doesn’t stay in the RV as planned. It keeps going back and forth from the house to the RV. Really great at heating large amounts for big groups. I keep experimenting with different foods on it and the grandkids keep asking for more taste tests. Hashbrowns yup, bacon yup, carne asada yup, heating tortillas yup, stir fry yup, fried rice yup, pizza bites yup, fish tacos yup … and the list goes on. I really like this, especially the size its perfect for the three of us. Cooks wonderfully has nice heat distribution for a single control. I docked a star for the control knob, while the rest of the griddle is stout enough the knob on the other hand just feels and kinda looks cheap and worse it is flimsy.

I purchased this grill for using on my boat. It’s portability is great. I have it set up with a 20 gallon propane tank and hose. This setup provides a more economical use rather than using small 1 gallon screw on cans. Highly recommended I love this grill. I brought it back home to use in side yard. I purchased a laser thermometer to gauge the surface temp before cooking and was amazed it heated up in less than 5 minutes to well above cooking temps required.

Pour oil on to coat, then burn the oil off, until it stops smoking,15 to 20 minutes.3. Repeat above process a couple more times. It will have brown spots and look unseasoned, we used a putty knife to scape excess off, then seasoned 2 more time.We used it while camping with our children and grandchildren, and they loved it. We did make a slight adjustment, as the wind was blowing we bent a sheet of metal around both back corners and across back to stop the wind from blowing the flame, this worked great keeping the griddle hot.

Great griddle. Much better than expected due to the low cost. I noticed reading the reviews several peoplewere discussing an external hose for using a large bottle of propane. No more discussion is needed. The 22 inch black stone grill I received includes the hose. An added extra that is not mentioned. I would think the lager griddle will also include it. All parts seem to be of good quality. This is two burner model with both burners having a lighting piezo. That is nice feature if wanting to use one burner. Installation is easy just screw on the four little legs and install the gas hook up. It only takes a couple minutes. I read it only weighs 15 lbs. That is not correct. It is much heavier then that is but still quite manageable. I would recommend this griddle to a friend.

I am pleased with the outcome although I used half a 20lb bottle of gas.Did bacon first and it was done in a few minutes, perfectly the way we like it.Next I did toasted cheese sandwiches for the family. Again perfect results.I am pleased to say the least. I would tell others that when it comes to the initial set up and Seasoning, dont get it a hurry, allow several hours to get it right. Also I would encourage you to get an adapter hose and use the large bottle at least for the first time. I like it so far.

Based on the reviews, I expected a solid product. Happy to report that the item received was everything it was advertised to be. Most impressive was the solid cooking surface. The heaviest part of the system, the cooktop sets atop the base of a 2-piece system (once the feet are installed) and the weight alone holds it solidly in place.There are very few negative reviews and I can only address what I have experienced. (1) Issues with a level surface; the feet are intended to double as levelers. Screw-adjust until there is a slight drain to the back and center. 1-minute adjustment. (2) Issues with igniter; it takes a few seconds for propane to reach the igniter. True with any propane device and it may take a few strikes to ignite. (3) Food sticking; I guess I got the seasoning right. My first eggs jumped onto the spatula, no broken yolks. So far, my batting average on the Blackstone is better than on a non-stick pan. I followed the Blackstone seasoning instructions twice. Used canola oil. American cheese directly on the surface did not stick.I’m glad I opted for the 22″ surface. I’ve already appreciated the second burner and extra cooking area. Strongly recommended.Great product. Hope you have as much fun with yours as we are with ours.

Having trouble with the right igniter. But the grill and the heat are wonderful. I seasoned it with bacon grease. Then twice I have done sunny side eggs on it. COMPLETELY NON STICK !!!! Better then any frying pan I have at home. LOVE IT !!!

I have used the griddle a few times while rving. When not in the rv I use it on the patio as an addition to my outdoor kitchen. Works great for things that do not do so well on the grill. I am not sure if I should have got the 17 inch version but this has plenty of cooking area for the 4 of us. Very versatile.

Worked perfectly as a hibachi at home. It may be a bit heavy for some but otherwise fairly portable and plan to take it camping. The cook top lifts off easily and cleaning was fairly simple. I ordered the 22 inch version for the large cook top. Heat distribution was good. High heat over the burners and low heat towards the sides which was great for doing teppanyaki. It uses propane pretty quickly so I suggest getting an adapter to use 20 lb tanks.

I bought it for use with our 45 foot motorhome and have used it about six times now. It works well and heats up quickly. It is enjoyable to cook on with the Blackstone griddle stand, which I also purchased. It also folds up for easy stowing. Fixed the wife breakfast on it and she said it was one of the best ever. The only disappointment is you can’t connect it to your onboard propane tank, which is what I wanted to do. You are forced to used the little propane bottles, which last for only one good sized meal. I hate having to lug all these propane bottles, when I have a 45lb propane tank onboard the motorhome that gets little use. I checked with a propane contractor who told me it’s not possible.

I purchased a 22 Inch griddle on March 14th, and has been used on 4 different camping trips. When I purchased it I also purchased a 16OZ bottle of Barlean’s Fresh Flax Oil and followed the seasoning instructions to a TEE using this product (5 “heat cycles” and “coatings” of the Flax Oil allowing it to burn off and quit smoking each time). The first meal we cooked on this griddle was the only successful meal I cooked on it that trip. Literally every single piece of food I put on it sticks to the point that it has to be scraped off and is almost not edible mush. I tried to wipe it down with water and a paper towel after the meal was cooked, I left it alone, I scraped it, and I wiped with a dry paper towel – all resulting in the same issues.Fast forward to my second trip – I thought maybe the seasoning “prep” wasnt done right, so I took a soft dish sponge and some soap / water and cleaned the surface really well and started the seasoning process over, this time only 3 seasonings as it looked like it had a nice coat on it. Second trip out, again, the first meal was the only successful one.Fast forward yet again to my third trip – This time I found a highly touted Blackstone youtuber that advised that “older” grills need a “reboot”, so I followed those instructions. This consisted of cleaning the griddle top, followed by sanding with a series of different grit sand paper, all the way down to using steel wool on the final surface. This process took about 2 hours and made the griddle top silky smooth, so I then started the seasoning over once again using cooking oil this time (based on this youtubers recommendation). SAME EXACT RESULT – 1 cook, and everything after was a disaster.We have cooked bacon, sausage, burgers, steaks, shredded beef, ground beef, hotdogs, pulled pork, hash browns, eggs, pancakes, vegetables, and more, and EVERY single thing we cook on it sticks to the point that it is a wasted meal. We have tried cooking oil before cooking, butter, skillet / griddle wipes, complete cleanings before / after use, not cleaning it and leaving the grease on, scraping, prepping, and obviously multiple seasonings, greasy foods, non greasy foods and all result in the same ending – wasted food.Now, for the most frustrating part – I am getting ZERO help, or response from Blackstone through Facebook, or the “contact us” on the web site. I understand we are in a pandemic, and staff may be in short supply, however now is a PERFECT time for any customer service oriented company to perfect their customer service skills. There is nothing but time for customer service questions to be answered, but I haven’t received a single response from them anywhere.I would NOT recommend this product based on the pure lack of communication that Blackstone has provided.

Overall really great cooking appliance. It is a lot heavier than anticipated so portability is quite low unless you plan to keep it in vehicle transport or fold up hand truck. Although thoughful design wa smade to reduce warping, i found that oil wants to run to the walls so it seems to get more stuck food and over oiling the groddle. I was expecting being able to cook teppanyaki, the steel top is not polished smooth, but more like an iron skillet texture. I need to find a cooking utensil that is good for moving oil from edge back to the cooking area.

I bought this 22″ griddle almost 4 months to the day. First of all I’d like to say I love it. I use it at least twice a week, sometime more. However….after using i noticed the griddle is starting to warp. Hence the 1 star. I have no idea why it’s began to warp and over time is getting worse. it has like a hill in the middle of the griddle and any oil or juices go to the side. Looks like it only has a 90 day warranty. so i guess i’m out of luck!

I had purchased a different brand (to save a few bucks) and when I seasoned it started to chip and I wasn’t happy at all.. entre BLACKSTONE WOW WHAT A DIFFERENCE! The moment I turned it one it even gave off a different smell. It seasoned perfectly and our firt cook was delicious. The double burners allows for different cook zones. Clean up was a breeze with the tray liners and I wouldn’t recommend any other brand. As a newbie at the griddle I needed something dependable and this was perfect.

Other then that I love the grill, seasoned very easy and cooks great. This is a solid little griddle and deserves all of the good reviews that it gets. My wife and I use this when we cater events at clients houses. This is a very well-made griddle that will not let you down. There are multiple videos available on YouTube that teach you how to properly season it using cooking oil. I would recommend that you order some type of a bag for transporting this griddle if you plan on moving it around. It does get very expensive using the little green canisters of propane, So I would highly recommend that you purchase a four or six foot hose that you can connect to a 20 lb. Propane tank. You will burn through those small green canisters very quickly, especially when you use the griddle on high. When left on a high setting for 10 minutes or more, this griddle heated up to the mid 500°. We would not think twice about purchasing this griddle again.

We used this recently on a camping trip and the people who were camping next to us said they ordered one after seeing how well our unit works. The clean up is quick and the flavors were wonderful. Please be aware that the 22inch Blackstone is fairly heavy. My husband moved it to the picnic table. The seasoning on the griddle is easy if you follow the directions, (it just takes some time). Griddle temp is well over 500 degrees (infrared thermometer coming tomorrow/highly recommended). This griddle is so versatile. We are Weekend Warriors with our RV and this little jewel is perfect for those weekends at the lake. Five stars all around! One recommendation though… I would suggest buying a 6’ hose to hook up a larger propane tank. If you use the little green bottles; you’ll go through a lot of them.

Received the grill and finally got around to putting the thing together. All good except that the hood only opens about 8″. Not good! The reason is that the hood was misaligned with the grill body. The pictures show the hinge bolt holes, concave bent on one side and convex bent on the other. Hmmmmm? The grill is heavy and a substantial drop of the box could have done the damage. I dunno, the box did not show any damage. So I go to Amazon Customer/Tech Support and find that this grill is not covered. So you can get Customer/Tech support on a dust filter but not a gas grill. Odd, isn’t it? So, I’ll put this out there as a review and maybe somebody will notice since there seem to be no other way of dealing with this. The seller was Amazon Services.

This is an excellent product.I bought it not knowing much about it none of my friends had one but the price was good so I thought I would give it a try.I do a lot of slow cooking on various pellet grills and this griddle has a very different purpose. Is not made for ribs or pork butts but for just about everything it does a great job. I’ve had it for three months and have grilled meat, fish, vegetables, eggs and seared meat after smoking it on the pellet grill. I didn’t realize it was so versatile when I purchased it. YouTube will present many ways to utilize the Blackstone.The 22” is very portable and can be carried by one person easily. Another thing I didn’t realize was how easy clean up was.I had read some negative comments about customer service. This has not been my experience. I had a problem with an igniter and Austin with CS excellent and very responsive in correcting the problem.I would definitely recommend this product to my friends

I have an outdoor kitchen and use this more than that when camping! It rocks. Cooks evenly. Does use a decent amount of the 1lb bottles so I bought an adapter for my 5lb bottle.Also, doesn’t work with the lp gas line from my rv since it is regulated…the unit has its own regulator so the two together creates low flow (low heat) but that’s not on them. Just buy the adapter or stock up on the 1 pound bottles.

I really like my grill. I seasoned it with the Flauv oil as recommended. Only thing to mention to buyers is that when opening your gas valve. OPEN VERY slowly. If you hear a click, you need to close the valve back and wait 10 minutes or so and then reopen very slowly so you don’t pop the regulator. Works great and I recommend the table that this sits on.

We bought this months ago and use it for camping in our Motorhome. I will say, when you season it properly following the directions, it is amazing. Very easy to clean and use. I actually prefer cooking on this rather than a grill now.Can’t beat breakfast on these things….Issue: Finding all the right attachments is to connect to your RV, Gas Tank or Home is super difficult. Tons of attachments and it’s like a puzzle. So here is what I found that works:- make sure to get the appropriate attachment for the size grill that you have because… they are not the same…- I used the Blackstone season oil to start my seasoning – seems to work great- You’ll need 2 spatulas- Temp gauge- at least 2 squirt bottles (one for oil of choice, 1 for water)- make sure to scrap it while it’s hot and use water while it’s still hot- after the cleaning wipe it down all over (sides, back, front) completely- then I run a light oil treatment after the cleaning (the one time that i did not, it got a little rust)

I really don’t like writing negative reviews, but in this case I feel I must. I purchased a 22″ portable griddle, and while it functions properly, with the adapter for a 20 lb. propane tank, I can’t get the griddle below 410 degrees. I called Blackstone customer service twice, and was informed, not very politely by the way, that that’s the way it is! The young ladies that I spoke to both said the same thing, that the griddle is made to heat up to high heat, and some of the griddles just won’t cool down. I decided to try the small 1 lb. tank, and at least with that it will go down to 300. I really don’t like the idea of using costly small bottles, but I guess I will have to. I am going to try to find a regulator that will allow the use of th 20lb. tank

Great product but unwieldy to store in a car or move around, and a soft unstructured bag would NOT help much frankly, since the issue becomes there are parts that can travel or move around.A hard case of some sort would make this product awesome sauce.

I am pleased to get this griddle as it warms up quickly and has even heat distribution. I changed mine from propane to natural gas using the conversion kit. The only search was for fitting to connect to quick release. The gas connect comes out of the right side and I wish it were in the back for aesthetics. I wanted to get a cover but some options were more than the griddle itself so I improvised. I had a commercial bun pan turned it upside down and added a long drawer pull as the handle. It works although it is not a perfect fit and is good for me. I say this is a wise purchase and I feel you will agree once you are cooking like a pro.

griddle top warped and will not equalize, makes it very difficult to keep oil on the top without it running off. Warped so bad eggs and other things runoff towards the sides and back and the drip slot. Will not work well with the hose adapter to a BBQ propane tank, will not stay lit and or has a very low flame even on high. One bright spot is that with the small propane tanks for lanterns it works ok grilling things like burgers and bacon and it cleans easily.

I purchased this in June and wanted to wait to write a review until really having a chance to use the griddle. Prior to using the griddle for cooking, I seasoned the griddle using canola oil and gave the griddle 4 coats of oil, letting each application fully smoke off on medium heat. The entire surface colored to the same patina and only the spots where the stand offs are located are not showing the same coloring. So heat distribution is even. With the surface pre-seasoned I started with cooking hamburgers and bacon and had no sticking and the griddle only needed to be set to a med/low setting. I have cooked Hamburgers, bacon, steaks, sausage, pork chops, eggs, vegetables, and pancake’s with success and no sticking. Cleaning the top after cooking is easy and quick. I set the burner to medium and then use a squirt bottle with water to spray on the griddle, use a scraper to swipe everything out the back and into the grease cup, then wipe off the surface with a paper towel. Once cleaned off, I turn off the burner and wipe a light coat of canola oil on all surfaces and let cool to be put away for next use. I am VERY happy with this griddle and highly recommend it if you are in the market for a portable. The only slight issue I had with the griddle has to do with storing it. To store the griddle, you turn the cook top upside down and place it back on the base. The problem I found is there are aluminum rivets at the corners on the base and when you place the cook top on the base for storage, the cook top rubs on the rivets. This wears down the rivets and transfers metal to the cook top. To stop this, I place a strip of towel over the rivets before placing the cook top down. If you don’t put something over the rivets, they will wear. Other than this single issue, the Blackstone griddle has been a pleasure to own and I would absolutely buy it again!

This worked fine like the first 3 times. Then the flame started dying down. So I replaced the tank. Then it only lasted one cookout, I decided to replace the tank again and noticed the tank was still pretty full. I replaced it anyway cause it was dying mid next cookout. The flame just kept going out as if it was leaking or something. But it didn’t really show any clear evidence of any major leaks, especially since the tank was still full. I ended up having to finish cooking on my original grill. Not happy at all with this. I was really excited in receiving it at first and had great plans to use it on days it was inconvenient to use my big grill. But it was a waste of money unfortunately.

I do love this griddle it is perfect for making a big breakfast. thinner burgers and steaks. I’ve had a problem trying to cook large sausages and thicker cut steaks or burgers, especially if it’s a bit windy or cold. Since it doesn’t use a hood or cover on it, heat isn’t trapped. Also it goes through a green bottle of camping grill propane in no time flat. But it’s a winner in the big breakfast department. But I’m going to have to find a place in the camper for the old Coleman grill too.

propane tanks freeze up and cause loss of heat/fire. Tried multiple tanks. Outside temperature over 60 degrees and it freezes. Propane properly installed.Blackstone customer service was zero help, other than saying the propane tanks will freeze if outside temperature is less than 60 degrees and must keep warm towel over the propane if temperature is less than 60 degrees. Wrapped with towels but it didn’t help. Why buy a product that can’t be used half of the year due to temperature?

I guess I’m going to keep it because it’s portable and we cook a lot while camping and it’s compact but being a Blackstone I’m pretty disappointed in the product, not the company because they did replace it and probably would do it again but I don’t feel like messing with all that again. I should have purchased a different brand after sending it back the first time.

The regulator that attaches the 1lb tanks to the griddle cam with a bad threading job. Tanks will not attach. Now I have a $120 headache. Yay. Hope their customer service department is better than their quality assurance department. And I was really looking forward to using this thing. It looks cool. But cool, maybe I get to do the work of boxing it back up and returning it! Sweet!UPDATE: Customer service at Blackstone was impotent. I use that phrase as they simply could not help me. They do not have a replacement part in stock, nor do they have any other griddles in stock that they could open to replace my non-functioning regulator. Apparently they’re waiting on a shipment from China. They’re experiencing more success than they can handle. Whooo! I’m still boned, though.Now I get to re-box this big, heavy griddle, drag it to the nearest UPS store, and wait a WEEK for my replacement from Amazon. Wonderful. I am a prime member, and it’s gonna maybe take a week to replace. Apologies to all of the delicious, expensive meats I bought to flavor the grill with and enjoy. You will all be frozen, and thereby reduced in flavor. Fantastic.Oh wait, customer service at Blackstone that they could put in an order for the piece and that it could be here IN A FEW WEEKS. Wow.Can’t wait to use what otherwise seems to be an awesome griddle. Wonder how long it’ll actually take.I will update one more time with a photo.

So far I dislike nothing about the Blackstone griddle and the price was reasonable. I am a 100% wood griller. Charcoal grilling takes time, and patience. I saw some videos about the Blackstone griddle and thought in might be easier and less messy than a traditional charcoal grill. I read the reviews and I bought one. Best investment ever. I read the instructions, seasoned the griddle as the instructions prescribed and success the first time out. GLORIOUS!!! Perfect stir fried teriyaki 16ct gulf shrimp and yellow fin tuna steaks. Easy and delicious. If you don’t know how to cook in a skillet, learn. Use vegetable oil and cooking spray and nothing sticks. Deglaze the griddle with water before cooking the next entree. Even the cooks at the Waffle House know that. Complainers a going to whine, always. Stick to McDonald’s crybabies. Awesome outdoor cooking tool. Thank you Blackstone

We have both the single burner and dual burner models. The dual burner distributes the heat much better than the single burner. This allowed for seasoning the grill much better than the single burner. Though both are great the dual burner is better. Love cooking on this grill.

Awesome product. I used canola oil to season it. I started outside to season it but after two rounds of seasoning it. I wasn’t impressed, so I put in the oven for two rounds and perfect. I forgot the temps but I left it in there about 30 minutes each time. And perfect, and perfect cooking too.

Great griddle. Purchased this in August but was back ordered until mid October. The grill arrived one month early. Nice surprise. Easy to put together and season. I used flax seed and olive oils. After seasoning, the regulator went out on me. Contacted Blackstone customer service and was promptly sent out a new replacement. Great customer service by Blackstone.Cooking on the 22″ griddle is pure joy. I added a lp hose to run off a 20 pound tank and purchased the Blackstone spatulas and steamer lid…you really need them to get the most out of griddle cooking. The 22″ Blackstone griddle is well made with a heavy flat steel top that makes perfect burgers and pancakes. Enjoy!

This thing is amazing, I’ve been cooking on it for weeks now and the foods I’ve made are incredible. I’ve done Philly cheese steaks, smash burgers, fajitas, wings, all breakfast foods (eggs bacon, pancakes, french toast) even a pizza just to name a few and I can’t believe what a difference the blackstone makes in taste and cooking consistency. It heats up fast and cooks evenly with all foods so far having no sticking issues whatsoever. I did condition the surface properly before use as recommended and it’s flawless. Having the hood makes a difference as well keeping the griddle clean when not in use and holding heat better getting your temperature up. I highly recommend buying one if you like to cook. The flat top makes all the difference getting the best quality taste from your food.

This product was great. But one year and a month later i had a problem. It’s a common cooking device basically.I am handy with things and went thru the normal process of limitations. Won’t drag this out but the issue was with the left gas valve. I brought it back outside to use as the weather around here improved. Fired her up and low flame and etc…. flames shot out from the left gas valve handle. OK order a new one i guess. I go to website and guess what? That particular part is sold out! (issues i guess?) . I did find it frustrating that i could not see any info for part# so i can find something on the web. Hope you folks have better luck. All in all i did enjoy this product.

This is a winner! Breakfast, burgers – it cooks great. It’s now sitting next to a $2,000 outdoor kitchen grill, might not be using that very much now. TAKE NOTE: It takes at least 10 seconds depressing the knob to get the gas flowing to light it. If yours won’t light when you get it, that’s why.

I have been wanting a griddle for a long time. When I was young, I worked in a pizza/sub joint and have extensive experience cooking on a griddle.I’ve tried the cheap electrical ones (coated in teflon) that never seemed to last long enough and I’ve tried cast iron skillets that never seemed to heat evenly on my electric stove.Well, I bought one of these on a Saturday and got it on Monday. Isn’t prime awesome? I seasoned it as per the many videos online, cooked a bunch of bacon it (to season and eat) and then made a hamburger steak with grilled onions as well as grilled asparagus on the first night. Let me tell you both turned out wonderful!The next day, I made an awesome breakfast with hash browns, eggs and bacon. Nothing sticked even though I ran out of propane half-way through, all turned out well.For lunch I made a couple of cheese steak subs that would not only rival but destroy anything here in southern Tennessee.Make sure if you get one of these you learn how to season it. Also, I use a 20lb propane tank and bought the adapter without realizing that the griddle came with one. Very easy to set up, very easy to cook-with, very easy to break down and store. All in all, I am 1000% happy with my purchase. If anyone has any questions, ask away.EDIT: I have been using this griddle almost daily. It is my absolute favorite thing to cook with. I have made breakfast (bacon, eggs, pancakes, hashbrowns) and nothing sticks. I have made reubens. Last night I grilled some italian sausages with onions and green peppers. I have even made chinese fried rice–eggs, chicken and all. Perfect.

I struggled for a long time deciding which grill to get for my RV. I had never owned a griddle before and was hesitant to buy this one. After so many positive reviews on the RV forums I decided to try it. I’ve come to love it and am so pleased with my decision. The griddle heats up quickly, cooks well, and clean-up is a breeze (although I clean it up immediately after cooking while the griddle is still hot). It packs up nicely and fits in my RV locker easily.It does have areas of the griddle that are not as hot as others (edges and corners) but this is OK as a warming area. My only dislike is that it has only one temperature control. I would like to have separate controls for each cooking side. This feature is available with the larger units and I realize this was a compromise in getting the smaller griddle.Very happy with this purchase so far.

The grill is great. Seasoned the grill per directions. We have cooked some amazing meals on the grill. I always clean with water after cooking. Then apply cooking oil and wipe the grill down. The grill lights perfectly. I purchased the top cover for ours. The grill can get extremely hot with the cover closed. Sometimes you light one burner and leave the other side cold. I have purchased the optional adapter to allow us to run the grill on our R.V. propane supply. I purchased a brand new propane grill like the one that came with our R.V. I will probably stop carrying it. The Blackstone is all we ever use now.

This product, to me, is the best investment I ever made when it comes to buying a grill. It produces plenty of heat to cook your food. I’m so glad that I decided to purchase the Griddle with the hood. To me, it seals in the heat even more. So far I cooked on this grill 12 times and yet had to replace the gas cylinder. When I go car camping this grill goes with me and has proven itself in the backcountry also.

My only slight criticism is that I wish the grease trap was a little larger. I seasoned it as instructed and then cooked two full packs of bacon and 20 one-third pound burgers for my employees. Got my new griddle in several weeks ago and have been using it quite often since then. I originally bought this to use when we are camping. I have found so many more uses for it. We can now cook all of our food at one time rather than having to cook it in batches. This thing cook bacon, hamburgers, chicken, etc in a snap. The only thing I wish I had done was to look around a little more. Walmart has the exact same griddle but it comes with a stand and adapter hose. Just the stand by itself from Amazon will run you $99. Walmart has to whole package for $174

Although there are any critical reviews of this product, other than the manufacturer flaws, this product works as long as you follow directions. Make sure you season the grill prior to use. (and clean it) Clean after every use and re-season. These steps need to be followed or you will have problems. Treat this grill like a iron skillet on drugs. Excellent product of you follow these rules. Already taken ours camping twice and it works great. Looking forward to more camping trips with this griddle.

I liked the fact that this product worked right out of the box, though the grill did need to be seasoned before we cooked on it. The product itself wasn’t exactly as advertised – it was a different model with different specifications – but the retailer acknowledged the error and refunded more than fair portion of the total price. It made more sense than the back and forth shipping that would’ve happened to get the model that I was expecting. Moral to the story is to be sure you know what model you’ve ordered – because there are several for each of the sizes. Each model is slightly different, some are lighter, some are have grill surfaces even though they all fit under the 27″ umbrella.

We bought the blackstone 22 in grill a month ago. My husband is in love with it. We’ve had steaks, burgers, hotdogs, sausage ,chops, pancakes and more that he cooked on it. We have no complaints whatsoever. Hubby built a sturdy table for it, it’s on our covered back porch off the kitchen, he bought a converter to use a larger propane tank. We gave away our mammoth five year old grill that we used so little it looked like new.

This is a great grill flat top we love it. We hate that it’s so heavy. We are going to retire this to our patio as a failed RV experiment and find a more portable unit. Does it cook great, Yes, but when the wind is blowing No. They make metal side plates to block the wind which cost $$$. A trip to a local box store, 3 metal plates and magnets helped block the wind. The plates should have been included with the product.

A friend loaned us a smaller version, made by another manufacturer. It did not provide even heat, and was too small. We bought this 22″ unit to take with us in our RV. We seasoned it at home, and have used it several times to get accustomed to cooking with it. We love it. Good even heat.

Unless you’re cooking with wood or charcoal, I see no reason to have a gas grill. The griddle does everything and more. Two minor complaints. I had a problem with the LP regulator but I called customer support and she explained how to fix it no problem. Open the LP tank slowly.The second issue, GO BIG. 22” is good but my next will be the 36”. However, the 22” will be great for camping.

I like the idea having a griddle at the campground. But, my first concern might seem trivial but there’s a sticker on the stainless front that has to be removed before use. Well, it wasn’t an easy peel sticker. At first, the one layer came off leaving paper and glue. I tried scraping it off using what I had on hand to remove the sticker without scratching the metal, which wasn’t working. Finally, I had to apply heat(hair dryer) to remove the residual paper/glue. I probably spent an hour doing this. Blackstone, do your customers a favor don’t put the warning there or use an ez peel label.Additionally, I followed the seasoning instructions and it is by no means non-stick. Which I really didn’t expect. It needs a good cleaning after each use, scraping etc. not a real surprise. And then a maintenance coat of oil.I like to cook on it though. It’s better than using the indoor kitchen in the camper. It’s a bit inconvenient storing and putting it away.It cooked up bacon real well. Burgers stuck a bit. Onions cooked up nice and it toasted the Kaiser rolls well. Eggs stuck a bit and I broke the yolks with the spatula.Overall, it’s better than cooking inside, it’s roomy enough to cook for two people. I would like a cover but none is available for the hood version. There are hot spots. And I added an accessory low pressure hose to hook up direct to my propane line on the camper. So that’s pretty convenient.

We bought this to use when we are camping with our travel trailer. It is perfect for our needs. We often camp with our kids and their families so there may be 12 or 13 of us and we are able to cook for everyone sufficiently. We bought the stand that goes with it and it is perfect for our needs. The only thing we were disappointed with a little was the cover for the Blackstone. It only goes over the grill itself and doesn’t fit over the stand. We have been able to find one that goes over the grill and the stand. It’s definitely worth the money

I received my griddle in great condition. Seasoned it as instructed and used it to cook fresh fish and vegetables. It was great. Everything works great and the 22” is the perfect size for me. However if you purchase this griddle from Amazon the company will not provide the full warranty because you can’t provide a receipt. The company will not accept screenshots from the Amazon site as proof even though it shows your name location and purchase price. Beware if you care about the warranty registration.

I purchased this griddle for our camping trips, 2nd one I own, after seasoning, this was the 1st cooking on it, in the middle on the cook it popped into this warped state, once cooled it went back. I contact Blackstone Warranty, they,asked that I register the product and they would send replacement parts, once registered, I got the response below. This griddle is absolutely terrific! It has very good heat distribution, is easy to ignite and control each burner. It is durable and versatile as we have tried multiple food options with success. Just make sure the griddle is well seasoned.

Purchased a 22 inch griddle after a couple of times of use it warped. The griddle rocks up and down when using it. Contacted blackstone after a couple of emails almost 3 months later they got back to me. I was told after providing pictures that it was the smallest warping they have ever seen. Try to take a picture of warpage on this griddle is tough to distinguish but she could tell by the pictures. Rude and unprofessional. They told me to put a couple of washers under it. This griddle warped within 2 weeks of use not 2 years so that tells me they have no interest in standing behind there products.

Easy to clean and season using the Blackstone seasoning. Also purchased a hose with regulator so we could use our 25# tank at home. Starts easy one hand, turn the knob till you hear the click of the starter. No other button to push. We are selling our electric grill, charcoal smoker and standard propane grill. Takes a while to learn new techniques, but the results are great for us.

You need a griddle – we all do. If you have the space for Blackstone’s larger model by all means go for it – but if you’re not sure you need a 36″ griddle or maybe don’t have the space for one that large then this is your solution.Important stuff — the gas tubes – compare these to the competition and you’ll see this one has a much better design for even heat distribution. The cold rolled steel griddle is great, seasoned up nicely and cooks great. Look at the underside of this griddle plate vs the competition and you’ll see this one really is designed much better than the others – again this one has much better heat distribution.I’ve had mine for a little more than a week now – have made steak, chicken, breakfast, chicken and pork fried rice, several variants of potatoes, hot dogs and brats, and even wings. No complaints from my family, they want me to use it every day!Listen, when your spouse approves and you don’t have to beg forgiveness since those of us well past the 1/4 century of marriage milestone know forgiveness is easier than permission – you’ve picked a winner. Get one – order it now, order the tools, order a 12″ dome, order the lid, and a cart or stand. You’ll be glad you did…..if you’ve got a grill (charcoal I hope), and a smoker (offset stickburner I hope), then you NEED this to finish off your cooking stations. I highly recommend this product!

Blackstone is everything they say it is. Love it. Haven’t used it too often yet but it’s in the RV and getting ready for a real workout! Hubby was skeptical but now is convinced and it just might be replacing our gas grill in the RV. I’m so excited about not cooking everything on the stove inside and cooking a “one pot “griddle” meal”!

This was a great product for our RV kitchen. you can cook enough food for several people at the same time.Pros- Great quality Much better grease trap than the smaller Blackstone grillCons- VERY HEAVY. The smaller size is much lighter. Not crazy about the propane bottle connection. IT sticks out just begging to get damaged. It does not come with the connection to attach it to the RV quick disconnectIf you intend to store it in some kind of bag, rethink it because it is so heavy it will tear up a bag. find some sort of plastic container.Youtube the cleaning/seasoning procedure to prevent damage to your grill.

I hardly ever write reviews. I’m so stoked and in awe with this griddle. I also bought the hood and the bulk hose adapter.I’m a widow. My late husband always cooked outside. I knew I needed something to cook outside, in the event I lost power. I decided to buy Blackstone 22” based on positive reviews and Utube channels. I knew I wanted two burners…one side to cook on and the other side to heat something like water. I’m not disappointed….I’ve cooked bacon, peppers and onions, pizza, burgers and steak. Easy to cook on and easy to clean up. I highly recommend this griddle.
