    Nice travel pillow

Its a bit odd how you flip it around, but it does work. Its still not thick enough for side sleepers, which is what my wife and I are. It also doesn’t compress down that small (just uses a velcro band). Its ok for us, we use this in our rooftop tent/overland rig. The cotton cover is comfy.Klymit makes good stuff. We have multiple products from them, and they are quality built. This pillow is no exception. Its a nice pillow, but has a few shortcomings for us, but others may not have same problem.

    100% recommend this product!

I had heard good things about these “camping” pillows. I chose the larger size simply because I am a bit of a diva when it comes to pillows. Boy did I nail that decision! Love this pillow! A little on the heavy side for packing, but the trade off for comfort is well worth it! If I’m comfortable, I’m staying out longer. I can see a good many knights out with this!

    Very Comfy Pillow for Camping

Recently purchased and used this pillow (size large, color green) on a 7-day rafting trip and am very satisfied with it for level of comfort it provided and the relative ease of being able to pack it into a compression sack with my quilt and sheet system (Zen Bivy 40 F Synthetic Quilt and Light Sheet used on a Nemo inflatable pad). I’ve used many camping and backpacking pillows by most major manufacturers (Thermarest, Nemo) and this pillow is by far more comfortable and closest to an actual pillow you would sleep on at home in your own bed.Pros:Very comfortable for a foam-filled pillow. The pillow will expand after you open it from the packaging so let it sit for a day or so before using so that it fully expands for maximum loft. The pillow will have a slight plastic-like odor but quickly dissipates after a few hours. The dual-use pillow cover is a great feature. The soft, cotton-like side feels great to sleep on and when you’re not using it, you can use the other side/layer to keep it clean and while storing or packing away for the day. The pillow cover is also easy to wash (cold water, delicate cycle, air dry).I slept on the pillow for 3 nights in my own bed before using it another 7 nights while camping on the rafting trip and had no neck pain, no weird pressure or discomfort on my ears (while sleeping on my side) and the pillow seemed to maintain a consistent loft. The foam blocks/pieces felt consistently distributed and soft (none protruded in any annoying manner). The pillow also stayed relatively cool even on warm nights (temps around 70 to 75F).Cons: On day 5 of my trip, the white graphics/logo started to peel off the the pillow cover (it appears to be some sort of cheap laminate) but this didn’t affect the performance/comfort of the pillow in anyway only the aesthetics if that matters to you. I was stuffing the pillow in a compression bag with my quilt and sheet everyday so that likely caused the graphics/logos to peel-off. Other than this minor issue, the pillow hasn’t shown any durability concerns.Bottomline: This is a “glamping” style pillow. It’s not small, it compresses okay (not great), it’s not lightweight, but it is very, very comfortable. I would not use this pillow for backpacking or any type of trip where weight and space are priorities. Instead, this is a pillow best for car camping and other trips outdoors where you’re not concerned about pack weight or space and just want a comfortable night’s sleep.

    Absolutely perfect pillow

I’m really picky when it comes to pillows. If it’s not a really good pillow I wake up with neck pains and such. This pillow left me with NO pain, it’s flexible and soft but very sturdy. If you are not limited on space this camping pillow is the one

    Very comfortable

Big enough to be supportive. I like the reversible cover–I use the smooth side for traveling in dusty areas and swap to soft side for sleeping. The foam pieces make it easier to dry after washing it in the laundry. I can remove the filling and leave it in the laundry basket until dry, then stuff it back into pillow the right amount that I like.

    Very comfortable

Love this pillow. Very comfortable, silent, no crinkling or fabric noise when sleeping. Does not pack down super small and the weight is notable, not a backpacking pillow. Definitly a good travel pillow for the car and car camping. This is much more comfortable than the similar pillow from thermarest. Also i love the ingenious sliding pillowcase.

    Great pillow; one complaint

Pillow is clever. Should be perfect for glamping. Only issue, and I suspect it’s not will all pillows, is some of shredded foam has a plastic backing (see photos). The result is that it’s very uncomfortable since the “case” is on the thin side. I ended up removing as much of the plastic back foam pieces and replaced it with additional shredded foam (which I purchased separately). Not the pillow is amazingly comfortable. I will see my wife also purchased a pillow (smaller size) and it does not appear to have / have as much plastic backed foam.

    Comfortable but heavy

The great thing about this pillow is that you can remove some of the material to make it lighter. Good quality and comfortable. Great for a overnight but not for multiple days where weight is a issue. Also this pillow is a game changer in a hammock.

This pillow is perfect. I have been searching for years to find a pillow that suited me. I am mostly a side and stomach sleeper. This pillow is very narrow across, which allows me to put it under my head and neck and be able to bring my arm up without having to put it under or over a pillow.

Doesn’t pack very small for backpacking, but great pillow!

I’m a bit picky about my pillows for camping. This pillow takes up too much volume in my pack, but it is the closest thing to having a “real” pillow out of all my camping pillows. You have to get the air out and compression strap the pillow, but it’s still a bit large. Might fit in a backpack pocket if you have one in your pack. For car / tent camping in regular campgrounds, it’s perfect.

This pillow is comfy!!! I use it for traveling and camping. I thought it was high at first for the price but it’s definitely worth it!! Just make sure you get the right size when ordering. Comfortable and Clever

Yeah this pillow is a big W.- It scrunches down nicely.- It is every bit as soft as a bed pillow.- The person who designed the reversing cover needs a noble peace prize.Seriously, it’s a remarkably clever system that keeps the pillow protected with the nylon cover but can reverse to a soft cotton cover without having to remove the pillow.

    Great Fit for Me

This pillow is a great fit for my use case. It does not pack down very small but that is not particularly important to me. I bought this pillow to take on wildland fire deployments. I use an inflatable air pad and inflatable pillow already but I prefer a thick pillow. This on top of an inflatable pillow makes for a comfortable nights sleep. One side of this stays clean while the other side is soft and quiet. No more crinkling pillow in your ear.The Klymit Drift pillow is very supportive and the shredded foam filling does not clump up and is easy to evenly distribute. Plus the filling does not immediately migrate out from under your head and stays in place throughout the night. I also love that I can just throw the pillowcase in the wash, the filling is in a separate case inside the nifty outside case.I use this in conjunction with: Klymit Static V, Klymit Static V quilted sheet and a Klymit Pillow X (stays put in the pillow pocket on the Klymit sheet). I’m not a Klymit fanatic by any means, there may be better products out there but these Klymit products work great for me with my particular usage, and provide great performance for the price.

This thing was great. Did a week long canoe camping trip in the BWCA and used this as my pillow. I would have liked to have less bulk but being a side sleeper this thing was great. Very comfortable. Figure out how to use it before you need it. After the first night I figured it out and it truly helped me get a good nights rest.

Y’all…. this pillow has upgraded my camping / backpacking experience so much!

First off, I seriously wanna thank the folks who build these. This pillow is high quality, and it’s perfect for my 60L “go go bag” I take with me camping & backpacking. It stays nice and compact until I undo the strap, then the memory foam pieces start to swell up to make a great pillow! The only thing I can possibly think of to make this better, is to include two straps so you could really tighten down that foam on both ends to make it more compact. Thanks again!

    I use this every day

This is a great pillow, and an amazing camp pillow. I sleep with this every night at home. Every night. I’ve got neck pain, and the pillow is soft enough, and small enough, that I can move it to exactly where I need it. It’s made with incredibly comfortable contour form chunks, so you can form the pillow exactly how you need it. Your head just sinks in, without getting lost in the pillow. Now, the camping part, which is incredible. It’s a decent size, but not too big for those smaller tents or bunks. It has a nice travel system, the outside case is water proof tent material, which you open and shake the pillow down into its soft sleep case, and then roll the travel case into the end. Watch a video to see what I mean, it’s very smart. Everything is one piece so there is nothing to lose. (You can unzip the case to wash it.) The only extra piece is a Velcro strap which is used to made the pillow really compact for storage. I’ve already gotten my money’s worth from this after just a month.

Nice pillow but not for backpacking

Got this pillow as a potential to bring along on a backpacking trip. The pillow was nice, fluffy, soft and can be a great camping pillow! But I gave it 4 stars because it’s weight does not make it a very reasonable pillow for backpacking when you’re trying to keep your pack light. I went with a thermarest pillow because of the difference in weight and packability.

    It’s just meh

Tried 4-5 camping pillows. This one was attractive because it’s memory foam and is bigger than most of the others I’ve tried. After one night sleeping with these pillows I’m not really impressed. While it’s better than any blow up pillow I’ve tried, it’s still not a full size home use type pillow. I haven’t brought home size bed pillows with me camping for the obvious space reasons. However after trying multiple pillows and not really enjoying any of them I might just bite the bullet and pack larger home sized pillows while camping. I’ll definitely give these a second and third try and if I find them to be better after those trips I’ll update this review.

    Great travel pillow!

Overall, I was surprised by how comfortable and convenient this pillow is! I bought this right before a camping trip, and am glad I did. I was always tired of bringing pillows and worrying about keeping the pillow sheets clean until it’s time to settle down for the night. The reversible case works wonders for this, where I keep the dirt-resistant side flipped out throughout the journey, and flip it to the soft sheet for sleep. And all of my friends love it too!

    Great camping pillow

I tried this because my camping pillow was worn out. The neat feature I really didn’t understand until I got it was how the cover is designed. There are two pillow cases sewn end to end. One is soft and one is weather prof. When stored the pillow case not in use is rolled up at the end. Nice size that doesn’t feel like a small camping pillow.

    Great pillow, but smelly

I bought another pillow before this one, but it was too small. The large is just right for me–I’m a side sleeper and I can sleep on it without shoulder pain. I love how it has 2 different covers that are attached. But, it has a terrible chemical smell. That’s why I gave it 4 stars instead of 5. UPDATE: I put the pillow in the dryer with a scented dryer sheet and the chemical smell went away. Now I give it 5 stars.

    Perfect Pillow!

I was looking for something to replace my old Thermarest & decided to give this a shot— I am so impressed!! The pillow itself is soft but holds its shape well due to the combination of shredded memory foam and gel fiber core. This feels like a real pillow— my Thermarest feels like it has popcorn inside of it. The dual pillow case design is brilliant— slide the pillow to one end and it’s covered by a protective waterproof case for travel. Slide it to the other end and a soft jersey knit pillowcase is revealed for sleeping. All of it can be removed for washing. The pillow can be folded in half and a Velcro strap is included to help compress it. It is definitely intended for car camping, not backpacking, but it’s worth every penny. This pillow, combined with our Klymit Insulated Double V pad & our Big Agnes Camp Robber Bedroll makes our tent as comfortable as our bedroom!

    Best camping/hiking pillow out there.

Perfect for camping. I count ounces when I go backpacking. The comfort of having this pillow versus a lightweight inflatable makes the added weight completely worth it to me. Gotta have a little luxury on the trail. So comfortable, and the design is great with the pillowcase that converts from a water resistant cover to a soft cloth pillowcase is great.

    The Jack of no trades

This pillow doesn’t make any sense to me. It’s smaller than a standard pillow without much of a weight savings (large weighed in at 2.4lbs). It’s larger than what I would want to bring on a plane as a carryon. It too heavy and bulky to take backpacking. If you’re car camping, I don’t see any value with this over a regular pillow.

I have tried a few different camping pillows, but none of them had the comfort I was looking for. This is the pillow I’ve been searching for. Super comfortable, decent size, and a very clever dual pillow case. It’s not a tiny pillow, so would be best for car camping or travel. The fill is chunks of gel-like memory foam. What a clever camp pillow! Bought it for camping and fishing trips. It’s great in the truck on long drives and pretty comfortable for camping. It’s very clever how the pillow insert slides from the soft case to the protective water resistant case.I would recommend for camp and travel, I also got the biggest size because I’m not going backpacking where weight or size is really an issue. It stuffs down fairly small in the bottom of my roll top waterproof bag. Would buy again. The “compression strap” it comes with is a bit useless unless you’re using it to attach it to your pack externally.

I have used this pillow a few times and I have found it to be a somewhat adequate as a travel pillow but not necessarily practical if traveling on a plane or something to that effect. Even when folded in half this is quite big even for a backpack or just carrying in general. I would have much preferred a compression sack or just a bag given it’s price. The quality of the material seems durable enough for now, but not sure how it would last in the long term in the outdoors or camping.I do not find that the inner stuffing/foam isn’t enough to keep it’s form as a pillow and have removed the foam that comes with it and will try a memory foam pillow I got from Ikea, won’t be able to fold in half to save space but at least it’ll be comfortable when I need it. The only thing that will be useful will be using the orange side of the pillowcase as protection against dirt/scrapes.Probably wouldn’t purchase again unless the foam was more supportive and it came with a bag.Likely overpriced for what your getting.Overall: Looks nice but Not practical for travel and would NOT recommend.

We bought 2 of of these for camping. They fold in half for easy storage and the color is a nice green. As far as comfort goes, I am not a fan. However, my husband likes his. He’s more tolerant of things though and said the pillow was fine. I felt like it deflated and lost its shape almost instantly. Im giving my husband my pillow and ill bring an extra pillow from home next camping trip.

    The perfect travel pillow

I have tried a few different camping pillows, but none of them had the comfort I was looking for. This is the pillow I’ve been searching for. Super comfortable, decent size, and a very clever dual pillow case. It’s not a tiny pillow, so would be best for car camping or travel. The fill is chunks of gel-like memory foam. There was too much for me, and I was able to easily remove some to achieve the firmness I desired. This is a great pillow, I couldn’t be happier.

So Comfortable, Made Sleeping In Tent Way Better

I am really impressed with this pillow, you do sacrifice a bit more weight in your backpack for hiking but it’s worth it to sleep better in the tent. A definite must for any other camping/glamping, total game changer!

Winner of my multi-purchase test run! (out of four brands)

While I will not mention the other three brands, I’ll tell you that all of my camp pillow purchases arrived in the same box at the same time not two days before my Dad passed away. Knowing that I would be in a tent for the foreseeable future while going through my Dad’s stuff halfway across the country, I brought all my new camp pillows to test out. Mind you, I drove 2,000 miles and camped a dozen feet from my car so I cannot attest to the pack down rate or carry weight of the thing since I’ve not carried it far yet. From the look of it though, it does not seem pack down very small and would take up a decent amount of space in a hiking backpack but this downfall may be totally worth it to you as it would be to me.Another pillow didn’t get as small as this one but a different pillow got quite a bit smaller. This pillow has the right balance between packing fairly small but still having a fantastic fluff from the amount of fill it has when opened and lofted. Once it sits around for a while to billow up it’s loft, it’s a very comfortable little pillow. I kid you not, I slept on this thing every night for a month and I have zero complaints between it and my Casper pillow at home in my apartment. As I said, I will not mention the other camp pillow brands that I tested but very quickly packed them away and just stuck with this Klymit Drift. Save yourself a hundred bucks. Don’t go buying four different camp pillows to test out. Just buy this one and thank me for the suggestion. It’s the best!

    Almost

Without a doubt the most comfortable camping pillow I have tried. The problem, however, is twofold:1. The pillow is heavy. When every pound counts, this pillow’s Wright makes you reconsider packing it, and2. No good packing mechanism. I love the thermarest pillows because they pack into themselves, but this pillow comes with a compression strap and that’s it.I went on a trip to CR recently, and ended up taking the thermarest even though I sleep better with this pillow. For car camping, it’s ideal. For running through airports, not as much.BTW the dual pillow case on this pillow is brilliant. Klymit employs some creative people. Fix the compression aspect and I’ll take this instead of the thermarest.

Y’all…. this pillow has upgraded my camping / backpacking experience so much!

    Great Design!

Pretty brilliant design for a simple pillow. The reversible liner is especially nice and uses a clever little maneuver to switch back and forth between materials. The liners are sewn together as one unit and removable for easy cleaning. I got the large size, not the lightest pillow out there so backpackers may not like it but it’s perfect for me.

Purchased this to use as a second pillow on top of my inflatable during backpacking/bikepacking trips. This pillow meets every expectation and exceeds a few. It’s lofty, comfortable, quiet, supportive, lightweight, and packable. It even has 2 different pillow covers built into it so you have a smooth side which has water reppelency traits (I call it the cool side of the pillow) or a more soft fabric side which keeps you a bit warmer. Great choice for all weather types!

Really comfy pillow but white vinyl started peeling and the strap broke

First off – this pillow is perfect for any type of sleepers. Anyone who sleeps on their side or back – this is tiny pillow but it does the job. After a couple uses though the decorative vinyl, (white piping + logo) started peeling off. It also doesn’t pack as small as it should, it requires you to tuck the bottom portion of the pillow into the pillowcase but it never actually stayed put. I relied heavily on the velcro strap it comes with however it ended up breaking and I wasn’t able to pack it at all.

    Very impressed

I have purchased several different inflatable pillows for the family while camping and all have done the job sufficiently for my family and I over the years. By sufficiently, I mean that they have stayed inflated and are easily packed away. Their comfort level was definitely lacking though. On a whim, I decided to order the large Klymit camping pillow after seeing it reviewed in a video on social media and after reading reviews on amazon. It arrived very quickly, packed well and and good condition. The design is very clever allowing you to pack it away easily which I did not think would be the case. The waterproof cover is a very nice touch and although I believe it is designed to keep it safe during travel, I have actually slept on it in that configuration a few nights where it was extremely humid and it worked out great.I will never go back to an air inflated pillow for camping. This thing blew my mind away with how comfortable it is. I love it. I will be ordering at least one more for the jealous wife and have considered ordering another to replace my pillow in the bedroom. If you’re considering grabbing one, do it. You will not be disappointed.

I’m really picky when it comes to pillows. If it’s not a really good pillow I wake up with neck pains and such. This pillow left me with NO pain, it’s flexible and soft but very sturdy. If you are not limited on space this camping pillow is the one

ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT! My search for a camp pillow is over!

The media could not be loaded.

It packs down easily as it can be rolled up or pressed flat in between gear items, it’s super comfortable because it’s chunks of memory foam, and it’s quiet when I roll or move. It has a built-in pillowcase and I’ve sewn a pillowcase out of an old military jacket liner for extra comfort and warmth. The inflatable types of pillows don’t have any real cushion for me because the chambers do not stretch, they tend to feel like I am sleeping on a hard surface. This pillow allows for a soft cushioned night of sleep and a good night of sleep on the trail is PRICELESS.

    Best Camping Pillow…Period!

I am a big adventure bike/touring rider and need compact high quality gear for tent camping. I have always struggled with the traditional blw-up pillows. I mean really it like putting your head on a balloon! This pillow is hands down the most comfortable I have found yet! The only drawback is while you can squeeze it down to the demensions specified it still takes up a lot of room. However it is absolutely worth it for a good night’s sleep. No more waking up with a stiff neck! Recommend highly!

Still not quite as good as the pillow on my bed, but by far the best camp pillow I’ve ever used. The sliding from storage to sleeping seems a little gimmicky, but it actually works pretty well.

Clever, comfortable and well thought out.

Pillow is every bit as comfortable as my home pillow. Once it has a few minutes to expand, it offers excellent support. It’s not a smoosh, sink to the bed kind of pillow. It’s extremely comfortable.I used it on a 24 day trip to Greece. Worth every penny. The only thing I might do differently if I had the chance would be to buy the smaller size pillow. This one fit in my backpack okay (bulky but okay) but it was a little large on the plane. It was totally manageable but I think I would have liked smaller better. All that said, to tell you how comfortable it is, it is now on my bed at home. I love it. One of my better purchases.

It’s lofty, comfortable, quiet, supportive, lightweight, and packable. It even has 2 different pillow covers built into it so you have a smooth side which has water reppelency traits (I call it the cool side of the pillow) or a more soft fabric side which keeps you a bit warmer.
