I bought five of these – one for myself and 4 as graduation gifts for my friends. I have already spent so much time in this thing – whether it be reading, scrolling through TikTok, or napping. It is lightweight and seems relatively durable, depending on your body weight. I weigh 130 pounds so I can get away with tying it to pretty much any tree. Also, one of my friends said she loves it and it’s one of the best gifts she’s ever received. She’s been eating breakfast in it, stargazing in it, and more. So yeah, 10/10!

I had an Eno hammock and first the lip ripped then a month later the whole hammock split. The Eno was rated for 400 pounds, this Wise owl claims it has a 500 pound limit. After unboxing this double nest Wise Owl hammock the hammocks look very similar but the carabiners are steel rather than aluminum that the Eno used. Where the Eno used static cord the Wise owl has webbing. The Wise owl hammock is definitely a lot more comfortable to sit in than the Eno, the wise owl is wider and it definitely makes a noticable difference. The “talon” straps are longer than the Eno straps. The material seems to be identical and the stitching on the wise owl looks stronger. Over all, for half the price of an Eno it is nice quality, more comfortable, and well woth the money.

I am really pleased with this purchase. The quality is really good and the provided straps work great (the more expensive competitor product requires separate purchase of straps). We recently used the two-person model for two people and it worked great. Everything you need to immediately hang it up comes in the bag and it all packs away nicely for later. The two-person hammock has sort of a divider seam that creates two pods. The material is really strong and pleasantly light. It is a little jarring putting your full weight on it at first because it is thin enough that it seems like it should rip, but it doesn’t. Great product and a great price. Highly recommend.

I’m a big guy (6’4 295lbs) and finding a hammock that is light weight, secure, easy to use/set up, and tear down was just about impossible I thought but I heard good things about it so I had to give it a try. It’s extremely easy to set up even someone who’s never had one before could do it easily within 2 minutes, never stretched or had me on the ground the whole week I used it. Simply an amazing hammock and company, and even better they’re making everything here in the USA which you don’t see much of anymore. I have, since purchasing it, bought a bunch of other stuff from this company, and everything has been beyond my expectations.

My husband and I LOVE our double hammock from WOO. We’ve been wanting to buy a hammock for years and finally pulled the trigger when we went glamping this year. We used the hammock so much that weekend, I honestly can’t imagine going camping again without our hammock. I didn’t believe the hammock would hold up simply because the fabric “looked” thin. Our combined weight is well over 300 pounds and we had no issues at all. I was expecting there to be a tear or for us to come crashing on to the ground but nope – all it did was cradle us to sleep. We also take our hammock with us when we go picnic. It was probably our favorite COVID purchase. We love WOO so much, we also bought two of their camping pillows to go with our hammock.Also, we accidentally misplaced one of our straps and WOO customer service took care of us. BEST CUSTOMER SERVICE!

From all reviews i thought i was buying a American made product,, not so,,, it’s like every thing else,, made in china,, but all thing’s considered it seems to be very well made, will write better review aftr i hv used it for awhile.. Update: after useing it day and night back in de swamp i have NO complaints, i changed out heavy steel caribiners 4 alloy wire gate one’s, at first i was a little iffy about the tree straps, but they R workn good too,, put me down as 💯 % satisfied. . Update 5/28/19 got a pa kage in mail from lauren in customer service, she had read my review were i had swapped out steel caribiners for wire gate alloy one’s and she sent me 2 wire gate alloy one’s, NOW that’s a CUSTOMER SERVICE !! Thanks Lauren and Wise Owl…PS: 💕the color of em !! Thanks Again. .

Went on a kayak overnight on the Allegheny River in PA. First time doing this sort of rustic camping. I got the Wise Owl Hammock, bug net, and rain fly. It was easy to set up, really comfortable to sleep in, and compact to store and carry. I was a little concerned because I’ve always tented, but I don’t think I’m going to go back. I loved the experience, and NO BUG BITES!! I will need to get a pad of some sort for insulation. I was cold, but that was my own fault. this equipment was exactly what I’d been looking for, and for the right price.

We havent taken this camping yet but I have used it several times over this summer (2020) for several hours on end while being stuck in online classes due to Covid 19. Gotta do something to relax.It is very sturdy and both me and my husband can fit in it comfortably. Both of our weights combined is approximately 400 pounds. So I would say it definitely holds the amount of weight that it advertises.I am also 6 ft tall and the length is great for me. The pocket on the side is super helpful as well to hold things like your phone or some bugspray, but I wouldn’t put anything too heavy in it or you can feel it pulling a lot to that one side.

I am in this thing almost every day it’s not raining. Comfy when combined with a pillow. It’s easy to set up and take down, comfy to lay in. It’s portable and light enough I can take it with me on day hikes and find a little spot for a rest. Haven’t taken it backpacking yet but I may bring it along for chilling at camp. (although I would not recommend this for overnight sleeping unless you have a tarp, hammock pad, and some kind of big netting.)

I used it for the first time hiking on the Ozark Trail. Light to carry in backpack. Easy to set up and of course easy take down. Pretty comfortable. I had my sleeping bag too. It is a whole better than sleeping on the ground in a tent! I am 54 and I woke up with no aches and pains like you would sleeping on the ground in tent and sleeping bag. I also bought the Wise Owl Outfitters Hammock Rain Fly Tent Tarp which kept the dew off me. I would also recommend getting the Wise Owl Outfitters Hammock Straps Combined 20 Ft Long, 38 Loops with 2 D Carabiners . It it so easy to put up the hammock. Great product!

I really can’t say enough good about this hammock. I waited about 7 months to write this so that I could get a good amount of use out of it to give it a fair review. I’m 6’4” and about 200lbs, and I feel more than confidant that this can hold me. It’s very comfortable and I fit with room enough for me and one other person. This had the room and durability to hold me and my (at the time) girlfriend comfortably. This is moderately light weight, however I ordered the Talon straps from Wise Owl, so that added a little more weight to it. It does come with straps that are high quality, although since I ordered the talon straps with the hammock I never really used the straps that came with this. I would recommend the talon straps, because they are longer and seem a little more heavy duty. This hammock held me and another person for hours on end for an entire summer, and it did not stretch or deform. It’s easy to set up and decently small and light weight. This is worth every penny!

I think this hammock is great for the price. The carabiners are a bit heavy. Replaced them with cheap but strong aluminum ones and cut off 2oz. When laying in it I can just barely feel the seem between the two colors. I think the seem feels a little tighter than the cloth giving it a little less give. It doesn’t have much of an effect on comfort but all things equal I think I would prefer no seam…it does make it a lot prettier though. The included tree straps worked great. They are very slightly heavier(about 3oz per strap) than some specialty brands but at the price I can’t justify paying that much extra for other straps. Total weight for me after switching out the carabiners was about 20oz. A little heavier than ideal, but not that far off from ultralight specialty brands that cost a lot more.It is very slightly shorter than I prefer.An extra foot would go a long way to making this super comfy to sleep in.So basically it is very slightly worse than spending four times the price on specialty ultralight brand products and at this price point is an incredible value while still performing really well.

I purchased this primarily for myself! I can barley get in it because of my 10 year old! Absolutely loving & enjoying this hammock!We have it in our backyard among several beautiful mature tree’s. How relaxing and calming, especiallyy at a time like this…’sheltering in place’. We just recently purchased it but I’m very impressed & satisfied already! The color is vibrant and the fabric seems to be of very good quality. It rained a good bit the other day & the thin fabric dried quickly and nicely! The fabric texture has a parachute type feel to it. Nice!

I bought this for festival and backpacking use and straight away I’m impressed. It looks and feels just like my friends ENO I borrowed over the weekend that sent me back to swing when I camp. The material is soft and not loud when I move. I bought the grey/rose color and love it-it’s subtle and will hide the dirt I inevitably will stain it with. I bought a single and is perfect for me, (5’6”) but if you want more material to wrap yourself in or you’re a um, “bigger” human then get the double, however it will be heavier if that makes a difference for you. Customer service has already sent an email asking if everything was ok and not to beg for a good review which is nice and shows integrity not only of their product, but the company as well. I don’t foresee any issues and would recommend Wise Owl hammocks to all future swingers.

The hammock seems well made, stuff sack is attached to the hammock itself do you won’t lose it. I ordered the double, and if you climb in bu yourself it closes up around you. Great for sleeping unless it’s too warm, but not so nice for just relaxing in the shade during the day. If you want to just relax and read, or lay back and feel the breeze, you have to use your arms and elbows to prop the hammock open. Comes with long straps to wrap around trees, with multiple openings In which to hook the D carabiners on the hammock ends. This is a nice feature because you can adjust the tension by hooking into different opening in the strap

I have used this hammock for two overnight camping trips and I LOVED it. I am not a highly invested woodsman, but I always thought it would be cool to have a hammock for camping since it requires less setup than a tent and is very comfortable. I’ve never owned a hammock and don’t have great measures for what makes a good hammock, but I can say:1. It’s super lightweight and easy to set up.2. It’s great for overnight camping and is very comfortable.3. Everyone I’ve gone camping with has been jealous because I slept way better in this hammock than they did in their tents, and this thing fit in my backpack so I didn’t have any trouble taking it anywhere.4. The Wise Owl Outfitters compact pillow is a super clutch buy with this hammock. It’s easier to store than a normal pillow and is super comfortable. Slept great with the medium-sized one.If you’re a beginner looking for a great, inexpensive hammock, look no further!

Great simple hammock, love how compact it is, taking up practically zero space for storage / packing. Very fast and easy setup. I’d suggest having extra paracord on hand for those wider spaced tree areas – this kit doesn’t account for much variance.Not a great pick for southern heat & humidity use as the fabric is a great wind blocker so whatever relief the breeze is trying to give – you get nothing.Looking forward to using these in cooler temps / climate.

We bought one of these and the day after it arrived, we bought another one.They go up super easy and everything you need is in there for a great price.The straps are extremely long (if anything, too long). There are a dozen ways we can hang them in our back yard.I can’t really speak to the durability because we’ve only had ours a couple weeks.My only criticism is that between my two purchases, the seller probably sent me at least 6 emails asking for feedback. This is a pet peeve of mine. I was very happy with the product but lost some love for the seller.

Was looking for an affordable hammock to use with an existing set up between two trees, so we didn’t use the straps that came with this kit. I wanted something durable for my kids and comfortable for me to read a book in. This seems to fit both goals! Three kids have piled into it at one time and it’s held up well so far. The blue color is very pretty in our yard and the hammock is easy for me to take inside for when it rains. I don’t even bother packing it into the bag, just fold it up easily. The travel bag comes attached to the actual hammock. Very satisfied.

Great hammock! Easy to travel with, and it’s very comfortable!! If you are using this to sleep in at night, make sure you have a mat because it can get a bit damp and chilly outside. Other than that, I’ve fallen asleep in this several times and it was delightful. I got a single and it’s perfect for me. I’ll probably buy a double for festivals!

My family and I bought these hammock’s for our camping outings and they’ve been awesome! Not only are they super comfy to take a nap and relax, but our kids and their friends piled into the hammock and used it as a swing. While this was not the intent of buying the hammock’s I have to say they held up great after being put to the test by 6 kids! I thought the hammock was going to be ruined after being used and abused by the kids for three straight days, but after a quick wash they’re like new. You can’t beat the price and the durability of these hammock’s – I would absolutely recommend them.

This arrived quickly and is a great quality hammock. It took me less than 5 minutes to hang and feels very secure. My grand-daughter and I fit perfectly and it was just as easy to stuff back in the attached bag when we were ready to move on. I wish the straps had a few more loop, that would give me more options when searching for the right set of trees. it shipped and arrived in one day, which was already enough to impress me.this is my second hammock from this brand. first one got lost so it was time for a replacement.I really like the straps. The loops make it easy to adjust height with little effort. it is lightweight(ish). And luxurious for one person. I find it is most comfortable with two smaller people.material is durable, breathable. it doesn’t get sticky or sweaty. if it gets wet it will dry quick.I can affirm this is one of the best under $50 purchases I have made. I take it everywhere – river, camping, the lake, the backyard. Either I or the kids will end up in it. It’s awesome.

Found this to be a nice balance between the name-brand that everyone in my circle seems to tout for this style of hammock – reads: not as pricey – while maintaining level of quality that seems to be inconsistent in some of the other “more economical” alternative makers. I actually think this owl is a better marketing angle than the brand most of our friends have. We have found this product to be of solid construction – got 1 for each of my 4 kids (ages 5-9) and they have definitely put the product through a barrage of use tests. I will end up buying the straps as the included rope isn’t quite allow for as versatile of installation as I think has stirred the recent rise in demand for this product. Other than that though we’re completely satisfied with our Wise Owl hammocks.

You can just put it into your bag and have with you as you walk through the parks or the forest. Takes 2-3 minutes to put up and you always have a place to rest or read a book. I got a large and a small and both are excellent. Green/yellow is my favourite as it blends naturally with the trees. Grey/pink is also very nice. Between the two sizes, I have a slight preference for the large one as it does not weight that much more but you can wrap yourself in it. Excellent hammock!

This hammock is great, and the customer service is even better! My sons received two of these for their birthdays and I loved them so much I wanted one of my own for camping. Unfortunately, the one I received from amazon had a small tear so I reached out to the seller. They were super easy to work with and had a new hammock shipped out in two hours! It arrived in two days, along with a personalized handwritten note. This hammock is high quality, super comfortable and easy to put up/take down as needed. I highly recommend it! For the record – I wasn’t paid, didn’t get anything free, etc for this review. Just felt like the product and company are high quality enough that I wanted to share.

I have set this hammock up twice to test it. I will update my review after sleeping in it if anything changes.For now: it arrived in good, clean condition, solid stitching except for a section of fraying on one end on the non-business side of the stitching (hopefully just aesthetic), straps are strong (500-lb) and generous in length. Price was excellent. Packs up easily. I’m brand new to hammocks and it took me 1.5-2 minutes to hang and climb in. Love that!Hoping to get a season or two out of it. The colors are really beautiful and it’s very lightweight. The double is mad DEEP. No one’s falling out of this thing – or SEEING out the top of it. 😂 Makes a decent camping seat when folded in half.Hurts a bit under the armpits when lounging upright but that can be fixed by bringing a wool blanket to throw over.My brother is an avid hammie camper and has all Eno gear and was really happy with the quality of my Wise Owl when we set it up to test it. That was excellent to hear!Looking forward to sleeping in it soon!

so far it’s comparing to my eno! i didn’t want to bust out a lot of $ for another eno and read the reviews for this one. i will say that the other reviewer who said the carabiners were too heavy…WOW i thought you were kidding but you’re right. they’re pretty heavy for a hammock especially for backpacking (it’s a small thing but every bit counts) i’m debating on swapping them with my eno’s existing wire carabiners and just exchanging those back and forth depending on which hammock i’m using or if i should buy another set. otherwise it’s a great hammock and i didn’t spend a ton of extra $. i will say that my eno is a lot softer but i’ve had it for over 7 years so that may be why. 😁

I received mine and readily set my hammock up within minutes. I happily lounged in this soft and quite sturdy gem for a few hours. At some point later I inspected the hammock to ensure no breakage had occurred and noticed a small tear at one end (I’m not particularly petite). I hastily emailed Wise Owl explaining that I properly set up and was well within the weight limit and got a speedy reply asking to confirm my address and order confirmation #. They stood up to their word and sent me a knew one that seems to be holding up just fine! I highly recommend this product as well as this brand. Great, friendly, and efficient customer service. I am confident that in the future I will purchase from Wise Owl.

Thing thing blew my expectations out of the water and now I regret not getting a hammock much sooner in life. (Note: I got the 2 person one for more room).It’s so lightweight, the material is very breathable and cooling, and most importantly( for me anyway) I felt secure in it! I’m 5’1 240lbs and I felt at ease just swaying in this thing. My daughter (50lbs) even climbed in with me a few times. Plus it only took 2 mins top to set up for the first try. Super easy!!

So far so good with this one. I like the sleek look with the chords that hold the hammock hidden inside the material. Material keeps dry and cool in humid and hot weather. Feels ok on skin and is comfortable for a 5’9” 155 lbs male. My girlfriend has used it as well and likes it. I should have a bought a double for more space and comfort. In retrospect a double size would have been a little more comfortable even for just one person. I can relax and enjoy multiple hours with this hammock. But a spacier fit would make it ok for overnight sleeping in camping situations. Only a few days trial so far. It’s being used hung up on my balcony in these Covid-19 lock down days. Looking forward for trying it out in nature when travel is possible again.

I just wanted a hammock for my back yard that I was able to put it up and take it down quickly and easily. I just leave the straps around the trees all the time, and clip the ends of the hammock on them when I want to use it. It takes 10 seconds! My daughter and I have both been in it at the same time, it is super sturdy and very comfortable! Great for kids and adults. I would highly recommend for any first time hammockers, directions are easy to follow. And it rolls up into a bag in about 1 minute for storage. Cannot recommend enough!

I have bought 8 of these!!! So easy to hang my kids 10 and under can all do it without assistance. They are well made and impressive in every way! I am not an easy one to impress… they hang them on porch posts barn posts trees with ease. No slipping and I feel very secure and safe speaking for my whole family! Plus they store and travel so well! I would recommend for anyone with a pulse!

OMG this purchase is one of the best decisions I made in 2020. The set up is the simplest it could be. I’m only 5’4″ but I haven’t had any problems whatsoever attaching it. I live near a park so the options are unlimited. The design is so light and compact that I carry it in my tote bag at all times. Very sturdy. My husband and I use it together. I’m about to purchase a single as well.

10/10!I was a little skeptical when I ordered it but I’ve been wanting a hammock for work and this fit the budget. This hammock is the real deal. Super easy to set up and use! The material is great in my opinion. I’m close to 200lbs and I don’t feel like I’m going to break through or hear it start to rip. Also the straps themselves are fantastic. They’re strong and a LITTLE stretchy. I was thinking they wouldn’t hold up on the 4×4 poles I had to hang it up on but they held strong! Honestly I do recommend this!

I recently purchased this hammock along with the Wise Owl bug net as an upgrade from a generic entry-level hammock. The quality of the Wise Owl products is outstanding. I am glad that I went with the double size. With my Wise Owl inflatable mat and a sleeping bag inside there is plenty of space. At 5’10” and close to 200lbs, I don’t feel a bit cramped. I am able to lay diagonally , and get very comfortable.Wise Owl customer service is top-notch. They have responded very quickly to the questions I have had for them, even late on a Saturday evening. Their gear is very competitively priced, and combined with their attention to quality and customer support, an even better value.

I bought two of these a few weeks ago for my partner and I when camping, and I am in love with mine. They’re super easy to put up and take down, and extremely comfy, so we’ve been using them to read in almost every day just around the yard. While they come with two very short cords to put them up, I recommend buying the Wise Owl Talon straps as well for an even easier set up and a more secure experience.The materials are a good quality, and hold a lot of weight. I weigh on the better side of 250 and haven’t once felt like the hammock and Talon cords weren’t supporting me. It’s also very breathable…if there’s any sort of breeze at all you won’t feel hot in it as the air moves easily through the material. And one of the great features is the bag is attached to the hammock so you won’t lose it (plus you can put things in it while you rest — like flip flops or a book or a water bottle).I’ve recommended them to everyone I know, and would definitely buy again. I reached out to Wise Owl Outfitters (WOO) right after placing my order in regards to the mixed reviews of people stating instead of straps, they received rope instead… WOO confirmed they are shipping them with straps and insisted my order would arrive with straps, and if not to reach out to them and they will send me some. That was good to hear. So for everyone questioning if they come with straps, as of this review date 3/24/2019 they DO come with straps.i was able to set it up yesterday and found a couple trees i thought were far enough away, but rather thick, so i didn’t have my slack left in the straps so had to include some paracord. The paracord stretched quite a bit so after the initial setup i realized i needed to leave much less slack in the paracord. Once i did that i was able to get in and try it out. This is my first hammock, so i have nothing to compare it to, but this WOO met all my expectations! Can’t wait until it gets a little nicer out to get in it more 🙂

This is the first hammock I’ve ever purchased, but I’ve been wanting one for a long time and when I saw the Wise Owl on sale I couldn’t resist.Right out of the pouch, the quality is evident – nice, solid construction, the fabric is much stronger than its weight might suggest, perfect stitching all around and the straps made it easy to hang, even for this newbie stringing it from a porch post to a handy tree in my yard :-)I bought the Double, boyfriend is 6′-4″ and we both fit just fine. It feels a bit wide for me (5′-7″ and 180 lbs) so I may buy a Single in future.Overall a very nice hammock, packs down plenty small enough for my purposes and I’m looking forward to many happy, lazy days reading in the shade.Thanks!

This will be coming with us on all kinds of trips.There’s never a worry the hammock won’t hold my weight, and it’s made my time in quarantine in my backyard that much nicer. After seeing how amazing this was, we bought 3 more! HIGHLY recommended.Oh, and this size is perfect for one person, a little tight for 2. However, don’t get the two-person model if you’ll only be occasionally in it with 2 people. This one-person model is good, but it does wrap around you a bit. I can’t imagine a single person laying in the one for two people. =D

This thing really is pretty amazing. This is the first hammock I’ve owned and it will be the last. Very easy to set up. Very comfy. No problems at all. Easy to pack up and put away as well. Ibought the double and we’re gonna get two singles as well. The double is fine for one person but too much fabric comes up over you and surrounds you. Couldn’t really enjoy the environment due to this. We put a pad in the bottom to help, which it did, but that took away from the hammock experience. With two people (or 1 adult and 2 littles) it was perfect. Saw two other people at the campsite with the same brand and they loved them as well.

This hammock is an amazing value! I have an Eno Single Nest and Eno straps that I love, but they are pricey! This hammock works just as well for less than half the price AND includes straps and carabiners! The straps don’t have as many loops on them as the Enos, but this is only an issue with smaller trees. It’s also easily solved by wrapping the strap around an extra time.

My teenagers love these hammocks! They set up so easily and the quality is top notch. We love the fun colors and the super compact size. My kids keep them in their cars for a quick trip up the canyon, a picnic in the park, or a nap in the backyard. And my son loves his to sleep in when he goes camping. Great hammock highly impressed with the material and the hold of the strap! My husband put it up part on a tree and the other part attached to a hook on the side of the garage. At first I was afraid to sit thinking I would fall but my husband reassured me these straps are heavy duty and could hold 2 ppl on the hammock with no problem. I just received this in the mail and I love it. Pretty lightweight and is so compact, I can easily tuck it in my backpack and still have a ton of room for laptop, chargers, books, pencil case, etc.! I tried it on and it was very comfortable. I had to refrain from falling asleep (I tested it out at 2am in the morning!)..ya boy was too excited to wait hehe. Also the pouch that turns into a side pocket when you set it up- call me a hammock virgin all you want, but that is ingenious!Although, I had a hard time finding two trees close enough for me to try it out because the tree straps were a little short. I didn’t read the length before buying, so that’s on me. I’ll have to buy longer straps. I live in Oregon so finding an area with a handful of trees wasn’t too hard.Otherwise, awesome purchase! I might have to buy more for my siblings as they were getting jealous of me in my hammock lol. Great opportunity to get them to do things I want though. I’ve never liked sleeping in a tent. I’m always too hot, and it’s stuffy in there, and all the nylon, plus the weight and the setup… no thanks. So, for a recent two night hike I thought I’d try a hammock. After doing some research, I settled on the Wise Owl Outfitters Single Hammock. I’m a convert for life! It’s lightweight, easy to setup, sturdy and comfortable. I’m a big guy (6′ 4″, 250lbs) so I was a little concerned with how well it would hold up. I was also a little afraid of whether I’d find myself dragging the ground because the straps had stretched out overnight. My fears were completely unfounded, however. There was absolutely no stretching, and it held me up just great over two nights.The straps are a fabulous idea. I’d never used them before, but they were great. They make it very easy to fine tune the tension and length of the hammock set up.

I ordered this for my daughter and she loves it. We got the blue one. It is super easy to put up (my daughter is 15 years old and she had no problem doing it on her own) and looks great. It also is super small when rolled up and packed in its carrying bag, so this it very portable. I cannot attest to the durability as we have only had it for a week, but we intend to follow the advise of some reviewers and not get in it with shoes. I bought this hammock (single version), and the double version to bring on camping trips, but have also ended up using them at home because they’re so enjoyable. These hammocks are SO comfortable. Can confirm that sleeping on your back and side is totally comfy too, as laying in it the other day was so relaxing that I fell asleep for 2 hours. 🙂 Woke up feeling refreshed. I prefer the single size in general, since the double has so much fabric that it can cocoon you a bit if you’re in it alone – though some people may actually prefer this for sleeping. But both are comfortable to sleep in. You will feel cool air and breezes/wind through the fabric, so if you’re napping/sleeping in chilly weather, you’ll definitely want to line the hammock with a blanket or sleeping bag. I cannot say enough good things about these hammocks – very happy with this purchase!

I have purchased or tried out several different hammocks, and this is the first one I purchased multiples of for my family (I now have three, and intend to get at least one more). It’s not too big for my 4yo to sleep in (though he prefers the smaller WOO Featherlight that is too small for me), but it’s also not too small for me or my teenage son (~5’10”).The straps only have ~5 loops near the end, not all the way along the strap like the ones you can buy from WOO without a hammock. But that’s a non-issue, since you can just wrap extra length around the tree. I’ve had the featherlight since last summer, but only got the double two months ago. So far everything looks very durable, but time will tell.

I’ve only used this hammock a few times on my deck, so I can’t yet speak about it’s long term durability, but so far, I really like it. I hope to use it camping but I will need to get the rain fly and bug net first. The colors are really nice. I got the grey and red one. The straps that came with it seem really good and hanging it is easy. Just look up the right way to hang it up first though. I first hung it up really tight, trying to get it as horizontal as possible. That’s not the right way to do it. It was uncomfortable. You want to have the straps on the tree as high as you can reach and let it droop. Then lay in it at an angle. Once I did that, it was VERY comfortable. It packs up very small and is very light. I can’t wait to take it camping.

So I just received this hammock last night! The reaso I’m giving five stars (for now) is because of the amazing customer service this company has provided so far! I wanted to get a hammock after going on a camping trip with some friends and one of them had a hammock ( not sure which brand they had). I wanted one that I could climb into with my daughter even as she continues to grow and I didn’t like the obnoxiously bright colors of my friends hammock. I decided to purchase this particular hammock because of the reviews and the colors. The colors aren’t overly bright, but they do have brighter options for those that like bright colors.Here are some of the things that have made me excited about this hammock!1. I received an email from the company (not Amazon) letting me know what to expect from them2. In this email they included an e-version of instructions for the hammock and ropes that were coming3. Because of the email I was ready to open my hammock right away before using it so that I could prepare the ties to go around whatever I use for supports4. I can now set up and take down my hammock very quickly and easily!5. The colors are very true to what I saw online ( I got the rose/grey)Needless to say I am excited to use my hammock!A couple things to keep in mind:1. The ties included are nylon rope; this both great and a bit of a downer. Great because I have a way to go and use my hammock right away; Downer because nylon starches with time ( no matter how great the quality is) so I will need to buy straps, but this company sells those too!Included are a couple of photos of what I received. (I tied the ropes myself, they do not come that way, but that’s one of the things they show how to do in the email!) I will add a photo once I am able to hang it!

I had an Eno hammock and first the lip ripped then a month later the whole hammock split. The Eno was rated for 400 pounds, this Wise owl claims it has a 500 pound limit. After unboxing this double nest Wise Owl hammock the hammocks look very similar but the carabiners are steel rather than aluminum that the Eno used. Where the Eno used static cord the Wise owl has webbing. The Wise owl hammock is definitely a lot more comfortable to sit in than the Eno, the wise owl is wider and it definitely makes a noticable difference. The “talon” straps are longer than the Eno straps. The material seems to be identical and the stitching on the wise owl looks stronger. Over all, for half the price of an Eno it is nice quality, more comfortable, and well woth the money.

Only con is that I wish the straps had a little more adjustability. More other set of straps can be clipped on the entire length of the strap. However, I paid as much for those straps as this entire set cost. Plus, they need their own separate bag. So for compactness and price, this is for sure they way to go!

Comfort: 5/5 stars. This has been a blessing in such a time of crisis. I work in EMS in the midst of this chaotic pandemic going on, and this has made my few days off considerably more enjoyable while resting and relaxing outside, enjoying the nice weather since we are all trapped at home till this virus dies down.Portability: 5/5 stars. The hammock folds into its own little carrying case, along with the included hanging straps, which is fantastic for portability. I can use this at home and on deployment with ease.Durability: 5/5 stars day one. It feels durable, and although there are some frayed thread ends, I’m sure that the product itself is fine. I’m 275 lbs., and this was plenty strong enough to support me on its test run. This is my first hammock so take this review with a grain of salt. BUT, I freakin love this hammock. First, it came a lot quicker than anticipated, which was great. Also, it was easy to set up in my backyard, even as a novice hammocker. I dragged my boyfriend out to take a look at my handiwork and be the first one to lay in it (test it) and he also loved it! He said, “I’ll be honest, I thought I was going to fall right through because of how lightweight it is but it seems super durable.” And he’s right! I’ve swung around in it and I can be pretty restless so I change my position in it quite a bit while laying in it and I’ve never felt unsafe. It feels amazing, especially down here in Texas where it’s already hitting 90+ degrees days in April. I feel so light and airy. I can’t wait to take this thing on adventures! It’s made being quarantined so much better. I was actually contemplating buying this hammock for two weeks and finally just did it. My only regret is not buying it sooner!

I got two of these hammocks for both of my children for Christmas. It was mild outside, so my daughter wanted to set it up right away. I had never used a hammock like this, but I followed the directions and I had no slipping of the straps on the tree. The hammock is pretty deep and the grey at the top can basically wrap up over you. It stopped some of the wind and was made of a great material. The little bag that the hammock folds into is great for a canned drink or a cell phone holder. She is in her hammock all the time since we set it up ( safely) in the house. It is perfect for camping for adults and children, also for children who have anxiety and need some alone time with a gentle rocking motion. I would buy this again.

I ordered single to test it out. I have only used it several times so far but I am extremely happy with it. Very easy to set up and very easy to break down. I was a little apprehensive about fitting it back in its bag. I was proven wrong. The hammock and straps went in the bag extremely easy. I will be ordering a few more for the family to enjoy. By the way, a single is ogre for larger people. I am almost 6 feet and there’s plenty of room to lay down or sit.

I would say for a person 215 pounds and little under six foot I would recommend the double hammock not single, single is just right on the edge of just being perfect I prefer a little more room. The Wise Owl hammock and straps were amazingly good during my trip in the Amazonia early 2020. I was up the Rio Negro in Brazil for about three months. I used the hammock about fifty different days with lots of getting in and out. Lots of abuse and the hammock looks like new after washing it. Very impressive. This hammock far exceeded my expectations. Was expecting the super light hammock to give away any day but it never happened. After a month I stopped being that careful about getting on it but still it kept being a faithful companion. I got the extra strong straps from Wise Owl and they proved to be practical. I am not one to write praising reviews but this product deserves my kudos. Btw, I am 200 pounds and 6’3″ for added testing.

I am in this thing almost every day it’s not raining. Comfy when combined with a pillow. It’s easy to set up and take down, comfy to lay in. It’s portable and light enough I can take it with me on day hikes and find a little spot for a rest. Haven’t taken it backpacking yet but I may bring it along for chilling at camp. (although I would not recommend this for overnight sleeping unless you have a tarp, hammock pad, and some kind of big netting.)

I got the double hammock to use while camping or at the park/beach. My partner and I tried it out the other day for the first time and it’s great. Our combined weight is about 300 lbs and everything held up perfectly. It was simple to set up and using it was fun and relaxing! The hammock material is durable, yet thin/breathable. I was worried it would feel cheap or tarp like, but it is quite comfortable. It doesn’t get hot, again it is nice and breathable. We were swinging back and forth and the straps and hammock held tight. I am very happy with this purchase. The colors are much better in person as well! The double hammock has plenty of fabric. My partner and I could completely close it up around us while inside the hammock, offering privacy or cover from the sun. I imagine it would be nice for sleeping or napping. Highly recommend!

Should have written this review 6 months back. Great Buy! Bought this awesome hammock this past summer for my son before he went away to camp. He loved using it, found the quality to be great, and it was light weight. While at camp he lost one of the straps and the company sent us two new straps for free with a lovely handwritten note attached, something you normally don’t get nowadays. My son is an avid backpacker and the hammock was light and small and he has been taking it on trips with him and he really loves resting in it. Well unfortunately he lost the hammock on his last trip so I just ordered him another one. I chose to order from Wise Owl again because the quality of the hammock is excellent, it is lightweight and does not take up too much room in his 50L backpack.

Great product and price. Just came back from an overnight kayak fishing trip on the South Branch of the Potomac River in WV. I decided to try the Wise Owl double hammock to cut down on weight and pack size. This was my first time hammock camping and I must say it was more comfortable than a tent. All three of my kids age 17-23 have had hammocks for the past 7 years. My oldest son is the resident expert, and was doubtful on the quality of this hammock, and encouraged his sister (17 year old) to go with another brand name. My daughter got it and set it up without a problem right away. The material is super strong- she and two of her friends laid out in it, and it never showed signs of giving. It is lightweight, and easy to pack in its attached bag. My son was so impressed, he actually plans on ordering one too. It is an unbelievable buy for a double size. I would highly recommend this hammock. It was also nice that Wise Owl Outfitters sent an email with helpful hints for hanging. The only thing we may do in addition is buy straps to hang it instead of the ropes. Overall, an excellent buy!

I have two ENOS but I actually think this one is wider by just enough that I can lie normally AND sit up sideways and cradle my head on cloth perfectly and it is just so comfy. I can’t do the head cradle sitting up so this has got to be a little wider. I got the khaki and light green and is just so pretty almost like gol when the sun shines through. I’ve already had many happy naps after teaching science all day and I predict a future of many more happy naps. Thank you.

Went on a kayak overnight on the Allegheny River in PA. First time doing this sort of rustic camping. I got the Wise Owl Hammock, bug net, and rain fly. It was easy to set up, really comfortable to sleep in, and compact to store and carry. I was a little concerned because I’ve always tented, but I don’t think I’m going to go back. I loved the experience, and NO BUG BITES!! I will need to get a pad of some sort for insulation. I was cold, but that was my own fault. this equipment was exactly what I’d been looking for, and for the right price.

Only “camping hammock” I’ve bought so not much to compare to, but I am happy. Have used it several times between palm trees and it goes up and down quickly and easily. Folding down into its built in pouch is very easy.Only con is cosmetic. A lot of strands of material from the stitching/material are frayed in several places. It does NOT in the least look to affect safety or durability. More of a quick assembly quality control thing.The pros on the experience using the product faaar out weigh the one con.Will buy again if I ever need to.

I already have given this product 5 stars for the great quality, but recently I had an experience with Wise Owl Outfitters’ customer service that prompts me to write this updated review. This hammock comes with two pieces or rope that are great. I’ve used them several times for setting my hammock on trees while on the trail, park, or beach. Last time I had to shortened one of the ropes because the tree was small; and after that I just could not undo the knot. I contacted Wise Owl to see if I could purchase another piece of rope from them as a replacement. They told me not to worry that they would just send me a replacement. I was perfectly happy with that.However, they didn’t send me replacement ropes. Instead they sent me Hammock Straps w/Carabiners. They truly went above and beyond! It is this kind of customer service, with great quality items, what makes repeat buyers.If you are looking for a great hammock for hiking, backpacking, picnics, or just relaxing at home; you can’t do better than Wise Owl Outfitters! I know I’ll be buying from them for all my hammock needs.

This is our first hammock. We purchased for day hikes and camping. We didn’t buy to sleep in at night, more day time naps and reading. This hammock is very well made and compresses well. It is strong and breathable to an extent. The reason for the 4 star rating. We purchased both – straps and hammock from Wise Owl. The instructions were horrible and when you search on YouTube you find reviews but poor instruction. A simple tutorial is all that is needed. I do recommend the straps by Wise Owl…high quality.UPDATE: Updated to 5 stars. I sent an email to Wise Owl customer service and they shared several instructions documents for all scenarios. Very helpful.

I was not disappointed, my family absolutely loves this hammock! This was so easy to put up right out of the bag I didn’t need instructions. We have The one person and two person hammocks. They were quick and easy to set up. The straps are heavy duty and you are able to wrap them in different ways. The quality of the hammocks is very good and we were not concerned about them ripping or stitching coming undone. The one person is a great size for one person. Two person is very spacious and can definitely hold to people. Love these and recommend in a heartbeat!

We’ll see, but it’s looking pretty good. Though not recommended for permanent deployment, I expect it to continue being UV resistant. UV protection is especially important for the attachment sections and the ropes still look excellent.

Quality of the hammock is very good, the carabiners are solid. Stitching on the tree straps is also good, they’re lightweight but feel substantial and solid. My only gripe is that there are not enough loops on the end of the tree straps. Wise Owl tree straps have only like 4 possible loops, where competitor tree straps have 7 or 8, giving more flexibility in how to hang the hammock. This is only a minor issue, though, and can often be fixed by double or triple wrapping the strap around a tree. Overall, the quality of materials and workmanship on the hammock and straps is very good. I would recommend this hammock for someone who wants casual lounging or is just trying to dip their toes into hammock camping.

The obvious question, is it as good or better than an ENO? Almost indistinguishable.The ENO seems to be a slightly better material, meaning maybe a couple micron thicker. The strap clips are a slightly better design on the ENO.That being said, the ENO isn’t 3X’s the price better.This hammock is comfortable, easy to put up, quality stitching, straps and hammock store in the same built in bag (which the ENO has separate bags). We bought the double size for any oversized feel.It’s comfortable, easy to transport and setup, has been used by adults and children without incident. Been rained on and dried out quickly without any stitching or wrinkle issues.This is a no brainer at this price!Wonderful.

First off, I am not an avid camper, and I have zero experience with hammocks, so take this review in that light! If you really need technical details, there are plenty of reviews which is part of the reason I bought this! We’re going on a camping trip soon in the woods, and I figured a hammock might be fun to have. So that was the only reason for this purchase.- Was happy to learn that Wise Owl Outfitters is a USA company, even if the hammock itself is manufactured in China. I’m sure this keeps the price down considerably, but at least part of my purchase was supporting a domestic product.- This is an incredibly compact and lightweight hammock! Well, not that I have much comparison. And if you really don’t need the heavy duty carabiners, you could make it even more light weight. But it stuffs into its included stuff sac really well, making it easy to pack! And it’s awesome that the stuff sac is attached to the hammock itself.- The carabiners are tough! Heavy duty and very securely attached to each end of the hammock. I was also very pleased to find two 6′, heavy duty ropes with various “holes” to adjust your span across trees. I hadn’t even reasearched what ropes were included, and two 6′ ones seemed generous but very handy!- Easy install! We tested this out in our backyard and had it up in minutes!- Well made hammock! The parachute material seems very tough, but is very soft. The seams are triple-stitched. I’m an average-sized adult and was quite comfy. I could easily nap in it! I felt supported and cozy.- Con: Cocoon-like for a child (see pic). I found that as an adult, it didn’t cocoon around me so much (at least not uncomfortably, but my 8 yr old was definitely cocooned inside. However, he liked it that way, so not sure if it’s a con or just a comment! LOL- My understanding is that this is significantly less expensive than some other brand. I have no knowledge of that. However, for a fun camping or backyard hammock, I found this well-made, high-quality, and inexpensive!

Love my double wise owl hammock. It’s super confterble and superb quality. I have a couple of friend who own ENO hammocks and they says it’s litteraly the same exact product, I just paid way less then what they paid. ( the payed for the company name) I bought the full wise owl set up. Aluminum carabiners, rainfly, snugnet and treestraps. Could have asked for a better product. I got this for my nephew. It’s identical to my own, which I’ve had for a year now. I used to have a typical rope hammock, and was initially skeptical of this parachute one. It seemed too confining, unlike the rope one. But I was wrong. After a little experience, I discovered that this Wise Owl hammock was MORE versatile than the old rope one, that is, it allows for even more movement and positioning.Of course, what is MOST versatile about this hammock is that you can take it anywhere, easily. It takes about 5 minutes to take down and pack, and about 5 minutes to unpack and put up. I take it to the beach with me, but usually it just hangs in the front yard. I go to it many times throughout the day. It’s just such a nice place to be (c:Quality-wise, it seems topnotch. It’s been a year that I’ve had it. More importantly than that, though, is that I use it a lot. I feel like it will last many more summers. And for 25-30 bucks? I mean, if hammocks are your thing, then this is a real steal.It’s a family business, too, which is cool. Good job, Wise Owl!

I purchased this for my daughter last month. Immediately after the purchase, someone from Wise Owl sent a message to make sure that everything was okay with the order. I responded that it had snowed recently, so my daughter hadn’t had a chance to use it. From there I had a couple very nice exchanges with the person. There are no problems with the one we purchased but I am very confident that if there had been it would have been dealt with properly. Last week my daughter finally had a chance to use it and said that it is a very good product. And, yes, ours came with straps.

I really wanted a hammock for Christmas. I got two! One was the Eno and the other WiseOwl. So, I had the chance to compare little before returning one. I greatly preferred the WiseOwl. It was well made (great stitching, etc.), had a higher capacity, and just felt very comfortable. The Eno was more expensive and, with the straps, a little more bulky. Although the description says the EMO and WiseOwl are comparable, I give the quality edge, and the value, to WiseOwl. I contacted the company via e-mail to ask a question on Christmas day, they responded on Christmas day…and with enthusiasm! They just seem like a great company to work with and, if this hammock is indicative of the rest of their products, they make some awesome gear. Great value…no skimping. LOVE IT!

Exceptional product. I bought the SingleOwl camping hammock and received everything in perfect condition. The product came with two very rugged carabiners already attached, one at each end. The hammock has its own storage pouch stitched to the side of the hammock. This is very convenient to roll the entire product up and invert into its own pouch for storage and transport. When compressed into the pouch the product, including carabiners, takes up a tubular shape that measure about 5 inches high by 4 inches in diameter. I guess it weighs about a pound. The nylon is woven, very thin, and extremely strong – thought at first appearance you wouldn’t guess it’s as strong as it is. The stitching appears to be very high quality; I was not able to find any defects on the hammock I received. The product comes with two detached nylon ropes about 8-ft in length each. I suppose these ropes would be adequate to suspend the hammock, but I haven’t used them.The nylon is a broad woven material that has less “sheen” than you’d expect for nylon – it appears to be more like parachute material, and less like the nylon used on tents. It is somewhat breathable. I’m an average sized guy, about 6’1″, 170lbs. This hammock is plenty long enough to be comfortable. The contrasting colored side flaps do, in fact, have enough width to cover a person when laying in the hammock – like a cocoon – but there is nothing to keep them closed. I thought this might be worth mentioning for anyone that was interested. Other than perhaps keeping mosquitoes or other bugs out, I can’t imagine why you’d want this, but you can. This is a good product for a good price. If you’re in the market for this type of hammock, I can highly recommend this brand.I also purchased GONEX Hammock straps. This $12 accessory was more cost-effective than other options and still great quality. I definitely recommend hammock straps as an accessory – these will make hanging the hammock MUCH easier and considerably faster. I think the flat webbing of good hammock straps tend to hold the hammock more securely around trees, but that’s just me.

This Hammock was fairly easy to hang (and I suspect will be easier next time) and was incredibly comfortable to relax in. It is small and portable and the additional straps that I added to my purchase were very helpful. I had some trouble tying the knot, but managed to get it all hung in about 15 minutes. I ordered the double and my son and I were both able to fit in comfortably. In fact, my son and his best friend (both 7) were able to get in with me, no problem.My only complaint (and this has NOTHING to do with the company or the hammock) was my color choice. When I chose the hammock, I purchased the crimson, because I liked the way it looked. What I was not aware of, is that this hammock sort of cocoons you in and I found the red to be too bold and intense. I wish that I had chosen a more relaxing color, like green or blue. Just a thought I’d like to mention, if you are deciding on your color- you might want to take that into consideration. Again, that was totally on me, and has nothing to do with the quality of the hammock. Overall, I am incredibly pleased and I suspect I will get a great amount of use out of this hammock.

We’re just average-size people, but we like the size of this hammock. It’s plenty big enough for the two of us and easily holds 350 lbs. Surprisingly easy to get in and out of. Super nice lightweight material–parachute-like–that is not too hot or too cold to the touch–very very comfortable and soft. Very compact. The straps are long enough for many situations, but in case trees are further apart, I highly recommend an extra 20 feet of straps. We found that mosquitoes bit us right through this lightweight material, so buying a mosquito net as well is a must! Great weight for backpacking!

Bought as a replacement to attach to our stand. I ordered the single. It was a little short but I took the rings and chain from our broken rope hammock. Super easy setup; just clipped the carabiners to the chains. I like that the carrying pouch is attached because it actually makes a perfect water bottle and phone holder. Shipped overnight and was in new, perfect condition.

The only hard part about this hammock is finding the trees needed to hang it up. But once you find your spot, you’re good. It’s easy to put up, feels sturdy once up. Two smaller sized people can fit comfortably in it. It’s so easy to fall asleep in one of these. And if it’s just one person, you even have enough fabric to cocoon yourself in for a perfect resting spot.

I have bought 8 of these!!! So easy to hang my kids 10 and under can all do it without assistance. They are well made and impressive in every way! I am not an easy one to impress… they hang them on porch posts barn posts trees with ease. No slipping and I feel very secure and safe speaking for my whole family! Plus they store and travel so well! I would recommend for anyone with a pulse!

Update: I’ve actually had the opportunity to use this hammock while camping (not for sleeping, just relaxing) and it held up great! I ordered the double, and it came with two 9′ tree straps, not rope like some reviews state, and my 11 year old son could set it up and take it down unassisted. He and my 6 year old daughter (total of 165 pounds) could lay in it without being cramped, and all 3 of us could sit it comfortably (325 pounds). My friends all had ENO hammocks, and they all tried my WOO and agreed it was just as good as theirs, but at less than 1/2 the price, I was feeling pretty thrifty! I’ve used my hammock a total of 15 times now, and left it outside for a week long stretch (in shade) and it still looks just as good as it was brand new. I’m very happy with this hammock that I’m ordering 2 more singles for my kids.This is my first gather end hammock, and I love it. Very happy! I purchased it for camping (but only as a place to relax) and I’ve been using it at home as well. I got the double, so it’s spacious enough for 2, or extra roomy for one. It’s really lightweight, but very strong – holds my 265 pound husband with no issues. Comes with tree straps for fast set up. Very impressed!!

I received this and the accompanying bug net a few days ago but had to wait for a day without rain to try it. I originally bought it with the intention of adding it to my emergency preparedness bag I liked the quilty, small size and convenience so much that I just bought another set for my everyday use. My only issue is a very very small one and that is the attached stuff sack for the hammock doesn’t have a compression strap like the bug net has. All and all I am very pleased with my purchases and will definitely recommend Wize Owl products.

I have been looking for a lightweight, easy-to-pack hammock for my spring and summer excursions, and believe I found the perfect one! When I purchased my hammock from Wise Owl Outfitters, I was surprised how compact and lightweight the hammock was when bundled in its attached stuff sack – an ingenious multifunctional design! Once unpacked, I was relieved to find two very strong carabiners securely attached to each end, and two 6-foot, high-grade ropes included in the bundle. It was extremely easy to install between two sturdy trees by simply securing the ropes to either tree and effortlessly clipping the carabiners to each rope. Climbing inside, I could instantly feel the comfort of this hammock while being cradled by its smooth parachute material. Perfect for the occasional afternoon nap or even a multiple-night camping trip.This two person parachute hammock is very well built. It’s seams are triple-stiched, and although the maker claims the material is durable enough to hold up to 400 lbs, my tests did not fully test this weight limit. The attached stuff sack doubles as a side pouch for things like a cell phone, cool beverage, flashlight, etc.After a few enjoyable minutes lounging in the hammock by myself, I asked my 10 year-old to climb in and join me, to determine how comfortable the hammock really could be with two people (see attached photo). We were impressed. There was plenty of material for both (a combined weight of about 250 lbs.) to comfortably lounge side by side! The fabric stretches just enough to cradle the forms of both of us without causing us to roll and bunch up in the middle. I love this hammock. It is very breathable so great for warm days. I use it in the fall as well. I got the double so my two little kids could join me if they wanted to. With all of us in it we are still below the weight limit however it can get a little crazy with their energy so I do prefer only two in at a time. I love relaxing in it and they do too. I’ll probably have to get another one for myself because they are always wanting to be in it. 🙂

It’s not bad, granted though that this is my first introduction to hammocking. Not only is it cheaper than the ENO brand that’s stocked at my local outdoors store but this one actually comes with tree straps. It would have been over $100 dollars more if I had gone with ENO and I don’t see any discernible difference between the two function wise. The carabiners this set comes with could be nicer but it does come with a solid pair of steel weight bearing carabiners that you can use until you get nicer alloy climbing ones. I still prefer my tent for camping but this hammock is nice camp furniture and a whole lot lighter and better than even the most ultralight camp chairs… So long as there are trees around.

Love this hammock! This is the first hammock we’ve ever owned and we love it. So easy to set up! My only complaint is that the instructions are online. Our first time using it, we were at a campground with no cell service so we had to wait until we ran an errand back in town to look up instructions. The instructions online weren’t even applicable to the hammock we bought (online mentions making knots and our hammock just wraps through itself and has loops to clip into). So in the end, we had to figure it out ourselves anyway.

Right off the bat when I opened this, I was impressed with how durable it seems and the material is soft to the touch and comfortable.I set it up in the driveway, one end tied to a tree and the other to my Jeep. It took me a couple tries to get it high enough. It’ll seem like it’s high enough, but then you get in and it droops down a little. Once I got the height right and got in, I was super impressed. It’s very comfortable and felt very sturdy. I weigh about 215 Lbs and it could definitely hold another person no problem.I got the two person hammock and it’s definitely big. With just me in it, the sides have a lot of excess space and can wrap over the top of me like a cocoon.I can’t wait to take this camping and see how it is. Great product!

Love it, I weigh 295lbs and am 6-8″ and enjoy the extra length. The color scheme is very appealing. The attached photo is next to my Eno double nest hammock. The pack size is very similar.2 years later, its now my goto hammock over my eno. I sleep in it nearly every night.I have found that wearing shoes or jeans with metal studs or rivets is often the culprit for hammock tears.

I had a hammock just like this that I paid much more money for and all of a sudden it got a big rip and I fell out of it! Yea it hurt. But i know to keep it close to the ground and i have a memory foam pad inside the hammock to make it extra comfy for me. So when I fell I also landed on that, but not all of me did! Anyways. Had it for many years so of course being around the camp fire it got small holes. I freaked out and ran to Amazon like usual. I purchased another one and didn’t like it. So I purchased this one that looked similar to my other hammock. I am in love! Easy to use and easy to carry for travel. I can perfectly fall a sleep in it.

I bought this to use in my back yard. This is so lightweight, soft, and breathable. Was super easy to set up. Everything from point A (getting it out of the plastic was super easy as it opens well), to setting is up is A+. As far as durability I am hoping I can leave it outside full time and the sun does not dry rot the material. The straps and the Carabiner hooks are very well made! Highly recommend!! I should have bought this sooner!

Always wanted a hammock and when started looking I decided on wise owl brand two person hammock mainly due to the reviews. So decided to order and I must say it’s so easy to install literally a minute and you are good to go. I’m 6.2 around 235 athletic and I can get in and wrap myself with it if I wanted to plus if my wife wanted to join there is room for her too. It do fit two people easy even if u tall or carry some weight. The fabric is nice so far we have it for a month maybe two no tears or anything so it seems durable. It’s a great addition to backyard or camping it’s so easy to pack it and the side pouch it comes it’s simply amazing and simple.

If you have been really looking for a hammock this is the one to go for. I’ve used the Eno brand multiple times through friends and family so I planned on getting an Eno, but I really didn’t like the price. So I found this hammock and it’s made from the same stuff and had great reviews so I got it along with some XL Hammock Straps I found by Soulfull( I hadn’t realized it came with 8 ft straps). Note: you can also buy the hammock and loop straps together for a great price as well by Wise Owl. The material is nice, soft, and strong. The straps that comes with the hammock I got wasn’t the kind with the loops but rather more like a strong black rope( they send you instructions for how to tie it as well) so I was glad I bought the extra straps because I personally find them easier. Asingle nest and strap included all for $25(or $40 if you buy the extra straps)- that’s over half the price of an Eno and straps. Furthermore, when you receive the hammock they send you a sweet email with tips and instructions. FYI: I found out this is a family owned and operated company so go show them your support!!

After a decade of camping with my kids, then having teenagers who hated camping, we finally got back into it. And what is camping without a killer hammock? I harken to say it’s not recreation if you can’t properly recreate.This hammock is the real dealio, especially for the price. You can’t go wrong. Lounge in comfort, beverage in hand, staring up at oaks and pines.The setup you ask? Good question. Super easy. At risk of sounding crude, it’s sofa king easy. And once you have it set up, if you want to uproot as the sunlight shifts throughout the day so you can stay perfectly shaded, no problemo. You can literally sit up, debark, move said hammock, and be horizontal again in less than 5 minutes.Kudos Wise Owl. Ya done good.

This kid did a lot of reading before purchasing this hammock. Up until now I’ve been dependent on my ENO. I’ve spent long days in the Amazon rainforest with my own hammock an knew that I didn’t want anything less than perfect for my husband’s hammock from WOO. Everything about his new Wise Owl Outfitters hammock is great! We recently took both hammocks to the park and compared them side by side. Mine is the blue/gray ENO double and his is the burgundy/gray WOO double owl. There a few differences in the way the ropes knot at the end points, and a few minute differences in the way the two are stitched, but overall both hammocks are equal in length, flexibility, softness of material and performance. The WOO comes stock with chunky carribearers and a basic short rope for suspension if you want to use it right out of the bag; however, I purchased a strap set that came with lighter weight carribeaners that I have now used to replace the stock ones.I will update this post with weights for each hammock and possibly more photos if requested. Overall I would absolutely buy this brand again. The price is unbeatable, and it’s on par in quality with the best in the market. Stop thinking and just get one! 🙂 I was not paid to write this review. I’m just an English major who believes in the product.

This is the best thing I have ever purchased! I love the peaceful feeling of a hammock but I am terrified of hammocks because I was in one that was anchored to a porch ceiling and when it fell with me in it I injured my elbow really bad. I was much lighter back then too. I got one with a metal stand but it was always in the way and heavy and bulky and hard to mow around. Then I found Wise Owl! I am much older and much much heavier so I was leery but I have hung it on trees, my patio brick columns and between our jeeps camping and it is so safe, durable and comfortable! I love it and highly recommend it!

I typically never leave reviews, but this hammock deserves to be recognized. Let me start by saying that if you don’t want to read the whole review and you’re looking at this hammock and you’re on the fence about whether or not to buy it, buy it right now — you will not be disappointed, if you’re over 6’2″ and/or over 180lbs, I would strongly suggest getting the double and not the single. For the price I don’t think you’ll ever be able to find a hammock that can rival it in quality or comfort.Full review:Before moving forward there are two things that should be kept in mind 1.) this is my first single hammock 2.) I’ve only had the hammock for a few weeks so my time with it is limited. I do however have a Grand Trunk double ($70) that I’ve had for nearly a year now that i’ll be comparing to the Wise Owl ($26). My friends also have ENO’s, so i’m familiar with them as well.BUILD QUALITY: 5/5 : The stitching is superb, no fraying, no popped stitches, no corners were cut when constructing this hammock. The colors are also top notch, true to the pictures that are posted here on amazon. If anything the hammock colors may actually look better in person. When compared to my Grand Trunk (GT) it’s hard to say which is built better, due to the relative newness of the Wise Owl (WO). That said, when my GT first arrived their was some fraying at each end of the parachute where the material ends and meets the exposed cords. It should be noted that the fraying has not hindered the strength of the GT. I’ve taken it backpacking in Colorado and Michigan and allowed my younger cousins an nephew play around in it and the GT still doesn’t even have so much as a snag or run in the material, but at a $70 price tag I would expect better craftsmanship out of the box. The cheaper WO is cosmetically perfect and therefore wins as far as aesthetics, and my hanging experience with it so far indicates that the WO is just as strong and durable as the GT. (for strength perspective, i’ve had a total of 340lbs in the GT with no issue, and i’ve had appox. 250lbs in the WO with 20mph winds and 30mph gust and the hammock remained solid despite the sway).COMFORT: 3/5 : OK my size DEFINITELY comes into play here. I’m a 6’4″ 210lbs male and width wise it was noticeably cramp. The material of the hammock is exactly what you’d expect from other mid-ranged ($50-$80) hammocks, but this WO hammock only costs a mere $26 so you’re getting quality material at literally a 1/2 or 1/3 of the cost. The material is soft, comfy, and breathable. And I can hear it now “yeah, but is it as soft and comfy as my ENO”? To you I say, yes, the material was just as comfy as an ENO. In fact, 3 sorority girls who were stacked 3 ENO’s high right next to me all agreed that they were mad that they bought their ENO’s after I asked each of them to try mine so I could have their opinion. They weren’t mad because their ENO was uncomfortable, but because you can get the same level of comfort for half the price. Now for the reason I took off a star and rated the comfort a 3 — for someone my size the 4″6″ width just doesn’t cut it, my shoulders were being forced inwards towards my chest in nearly every position i laid in, which really ruins the experience for me. My GT double obviously had none of these space issue but it’s not really fair to compare the two. The WO double has the same dimensions as the GT double so I can assume it would be just as luxurious.PRICE: 5/5 : Are there other hammocks that are cheaper? Yeah. Are the other cheaper brands quality just as good? It’s hard to say, I haven’t seen or used their products. What I will say is that I have found no other company that offers such a high quality product with such a wide variety of color options at the price point that Wise Owl is at. For this reason I don’t see any reason to buy any other brand.OVERALL : for me 4/5 : for the average person 5/5 : If you’re in the market for a double, don’t hesitate and buy a Wise Owl double. I know I will when I’m in the market for a new double. If you’re a girl, or a guy who is under 6’2″ and/or under 180lbs then the single will probably work fine for you. If you’re around my size and need a single then, and I hate to do this Wise Owl, but I’m going to recommend the Grand Trunk single. Yes, the GT single is more expensive, but you get 6 extra inches of width which for me is worth it. Wise Owl, if you’re reading this, PLEASE make a single XL that gives an extra 6 inches or foot of width, make it 30 or 35 dollars and i would buy it in a heartbeat.

This product is fantastic, you can see the many reviews that talk about the quality materials and workmanship.I use this for backpacking, typically as a lounging chair at camp. So weight is very important to me. The posted weight is mostly accurate, the hammock (without straps) is 16.5 oz. However, this includes the carabiners which are WAY too heavy at 4.3oz for the pair, you can get hammock rated carabiners for 1300lbs at 1.5oz for the pair for $10. So there is an additional 3 oz of weight savings to be had.After I made that switch, here are the posted weights on my food scale:Hammock with new biners inside the sack: 393g (13.8oz)Wiseowl Straps: 183g (6.5oz)So this whole package is barely over 1.3lbs. I read a review complaining about the carabiners. I got this hammock today and my the quality of the hammock, strings, and straps worth every penny!I got mine for 30% off when it was 30% off so I got the large one for only ~$22 after tax!The carabiners are incredibly good quality. I thought they were going to be cheap quality since one person complains about it in the review. However, I got the hammock today and hung it right away in my front yard with lots of shades and some plants. It is so so so nice!Make the world more beautiful and plant more plants and take care of the animals so so so well in nature! 😀

I’ll give this thing 5 stars easily. The price point alone is hard enough to beat BUT a few small tweaks and this is dang near perfect for anyone I’d recommend.1. The straps would benefit from having a few more loops in them. I switched out my old atlas straps and I’m good but I could easily see how someone would want more versatility2. The carabiners function but kinda suck. Even ones with a wire hinge/loop subbed in great3. If the pocket on the side were a little bit bigger, I could travel with it a little easier so it’s not such a firm blob but it does exactly what it needs too. If you wanted a bigger stuff sack, a 5L works great for meOverall, I love it. I hammock for ALL my breaks at work and I feel bad recommending an expensive set up for most people. It’s really not necessary. I got this to see if I can use it around work, on day hikes, etc. and see if I could recommend it to others. 100% would recommend. This hammock as a little more stretch than my other set up so it’s actually more comfortable most of the time.If you need a budget hammock, you’re done. Get this.

First we ordered one of these (Single size) for our nephew and after seeing how easy it was to set up and how awesome it was, we ordered two for ourselves. I love coming home after a day of hard work, setting up my hammock and basking in the summer sunshine, reading a book, listening to music and throwing a tennis ball with my dog. I love how comfortable it is on your back or your side and you can even sit in it like a swing! We are taking it with us to the mountains in a few days for our family get together. A great addition to our home (and away) oasis.

I decided to give hammock camping a try because I’m sick of constantly laying on rocks and roots in a tent. The first night I slept in it I fell asleep instantly, but woke up freezing and had to join my kids in the tent. The next night I put a tent pad in the hammock and slept better than I ever have. I stayed warm and I ended up sleeping diagonal unintentionally but oh man was this hammock roomy! My boyfriend got the same hammock but in green. He’s 6’2″ and 260 lbs. He slept even better than I did because his body temp is always higher than mine and doesn’t get cold as easily. He urged me to write a review because he’s amazed at how well we slept. During the day the kids got a kick out of sitting in them and swinging back and forth. I am now a hammock camping convert.

I was looking for a portable hammock to use and it was between this and its competitor the ENO (which more expensive and didn’t come with all parts). This one won cause it came with all parts together even the carabiners. I am 5’1 and 160 and I got the single person. It holds me just fine. It is easy set up and even better you can actually get it back in the bag without much trouble. First time set up and break down took me five minutes each. And you can even bring hammock over your face to block the Sun if your small enough. Look no further and buy this product. No regrets.

We hike, a lot! I was tired of sitting on logs that were infested by ants but after hiking a while, you want to stop for lunch and relax, so the hammock came into play. This hammock is AWESOME!!! It is so easy to put up and so refreshing to lay in! I love that the bag is attached to the hammock (that it’s stored in) because when the hammock is up, I use that as my drink/snack holder. We bought three of these during the COVID-19 “stay at home” time in California and our three adult children have enjoyed them immensely. Super easy to put up and take down!! They even take them to our neighborhood pool area to kick back and relax in the shade. I finally went hammock camping and can’t believe I’ve missed out of the practicality and comfort of it! I bought the single owl almost 2 years ago and only had tried it once for a few hours last year. I purchased the rain tarp and bug net as well which I would consider a necessity for any camping trip. I was advised to bring an airpad which I couldn’t get in time for my trip, so I substituted using a yoga mat. I definitely recommend using something for a bottom layer. It will flatten out the hammock and even though the night temps did not fall below 74F with 90% humidity, it can still get a bit chilly in the hammock.The ease of setting up was my favorite part. I got to the campground at 1am with limited lighting and all in all my hammock, bug net and rain tarp were up in less than 15mins. And that without ever having tried the whole set up before. The rain tarp did an awesome job keeping everything dry during a day time shower. I have not yet had a rainy night to try it out. The bug net is an absolute life saver. And I believe that because of the layers, mosquitoes can’t bite through the bottom or side of the set up. When first looking at a hammock I wanted to make sure I get everything from one company. Wise Owl really impressed me with their variety of products, their continuous drive to improve and the great quality of what they offer.Next I want to see if the lightweight hammock matches durability and comfort as I am all for carrying less weight on these weekend trips. Have taken this thing through the mountains of NC a few times now and it has performed flawlessly. The double is perfect for a 6’1″ 200lb man with an athletic build. I’m hard on my gear and this hammock has stood up well to the abuse. I’ve been using a standard GI poncho for a rain fly, but after seeing the quality of this hammock, I’ll be buying a woo rain fly as soon as I have the extra cash. I have almost zero complaints about the standard setup with straps right out of the box, however I’ve made a few modifications, mainly for convenience sake instead of necessity.The straps it comes with are strong and well stitched, but there are only a few (4-6?) Loops at the very ends of each tree strap, so finding trees that are exactly the correct length apart was tricky my first few times out, and adjustment is limited when set up. No big deal just takes a little extra planning. I’ve since upgraded to 21-loop straps for a total of 42 different attachment points, and life is amazing now.As others have pointed out the caribeaners are heavy, and make up most of the weight of the unit in a pack so I’ll be swapping them out for the recommended alloy ones as well in the near future. Again not needed but ounces = lbs.The entire hammock is super easy to pack and unpack, and with a quick ridline system I have it up in less than 5 minutes.For the price and quality, stop shopping around and get this hammock. Hell get 2. My gf has been bugging me to get her one of her own.

I fell asleep in this thing within 30m of having set it up (which took all of 5m).It’s fantastic, my sleep was deep, and restful. Maybe even a little good. I’m still pretty groggy, and I have no idea how long I’ve been out or what time it is.I highly recommend! I don’t know why I bought two of the same color, with so many color options with Wise Owl but I bought 2 singles and have managed to seat 2 adults in one without stressing it much at all (combined weight ~290, but its probably more like ~300lb if people were being truthful)Also pro tip: set up in shade or a spot that will be in shade, and don’t tie this under a tree with coconuts, people!

I love this hammock! I’m glad I got the double as I like having the extra fabric. The fact it comes with straps is also very nice; I ended up getting additional straps that had more connection points but for a starter the straps that come with it are good. What is really prompting me to write this review is the customer service. The hammock has a stuff sack sewn to the edge of the hammock. After about a month’s of use mine started to come off at the seam. I emailed customer service to ask the best way to repair it, thinking to get a stitch and thread recommendation, and a few days later they confirmed they’re sending me a new one because they have a lifetime warranty. Really appreciate both the service and the product. Super comfy and easy to set up exactly what I wanted.

This hammock is a great value, and is made well. I’ve had a couple of other brands and this one is done right. The stuff pocket is sized so the included straps fit in with the hammock nicely. They use webbing at the ends of the hammock instead of cord, and that will help both strength and durability. It feels a little heavier that my previous double hammock, but it also has a higher weight rating so I don’t have a problem with that. Nothin’ wrong with bein’ strong! Looking forward to some very “socially distanced” trips with this hammock later in the year.

This will be coming with us on all kinds of trips.There’s never a worry the hammock won’t hold my weight, and it’s made my time in quarantine in my backyard that much nicer. After seeing how amazing this was, we bought 3 more! HIGHLY recommended.Oh, and this size is perfect for one person, a little tight for 2. However, don’t get the two-person model if you’ll only be occasionally in it with 2 people. This one-person model is good, but it does wrap around you a bit. I can’t imagine a single person laying in the one for two people. =D

This is a very well-made, durable hammock. I purchased my whole hammock system from Wise Owl, and couldn’t be happier. If I could go back and change anything, I would purchase the double instead of the single. With my last setup (not the one that is pictured), I didn’t have ideal tree spacing, so I kept ending up having one of my legs hanging out…but that really isn’t the hammock’s fault.This is really easy to hang, especially if you buy the straps with more loops on them. My whole system ends up weighing around the same as my tent (not a super light one, but not terrible to carry).

This is a really nice hammock and my children love them. I was looking for a lower cost alternative to some more expensive options they had requested. I purchased the straps to go with the hammock making set up a breeze and the straps protect the trees from being damaged by ropes cutting into them. I was able to purchase two hammocks and two sets of straps for the price of one of another hammock. My children set these up in the back yard every day and read, hang out with friends, listen to music and just enjoy being outside in their own hammock. The colors are nice and vibrant and even though the hammocks are singles, two teens easily fit in one hammock.

I had owned an eno hammock that my fat ex-boyfriend broke because he and I together weighed more than 400lbs. I was really sad, but over a year ago while rediscovering who I was I bought this Wise Owl because of the 500lb weight limit and the reasonable pricing. When covid hit and I was looking for safe activities I rediscovered this gem. It’s very sturdy (peep the triple stitching), comes with tree straps (that are longer than eno’s slap straps), and has become a quarantine essential for me. If you need a way to relax download some shows on Netflix, find two trees in where ever you like to go, and chill in these hammocks for hours. I cannot recommend this hammock enough.

I’ve never owned a hammock before so I can’t give comparison. However, this hammock is well made, light, and supports two people – I tested it! It makes for the perfect summer item to have whether camping or, for me, a gentle swing in the back yard. I’ve definitely dozed of a time or two just lightly swinging. I will say if it’s a backyard item don’t leave it out in the rain to protect the material. Amazing product and so worth the money.

I just wanted a hammock for my back yard that I was able to put it up and take it down quickly and easily. I just leave the straps around the trees all the time, and clip the ends of the hammock on them when I want to use it. It takes 10 seconds! My daughter and I have both been in it at the same time, it is super sturdy and very comfortable! Great for kids and adults. I would highly recommend for any first time hammockers, directions are easy to follow. And it rolls up into a bag in about 1 minute for storage. Cannot recommend enough!

Bought this for our daughter who reported to us that this is a “must have’ for her college experience. Good way to get the kids outdoor to study, relax, etc.Great little thing and easy to put up and take down. The bag makes it easy to store it all in one place and small enough to stick in the backpack. If you want to put a smile on your college bound student, this is the ticket. They may look at you funny, but when they see others doing it, it will all make sense. Was a really good way to get them to stay outdoors as long as the weather permitted.

We are in love with these hammocks. We bought one a few weeks ago and loved it so much we bought another. My son can’t wait to bring them to his weekend long baseball tournaments to get a little relaxation in between games. It fits easily in my beach bag for easy carrying.Although we’ve only had these a few weeks, the durability seems top notch. My boys aren’t rough, but they’re not exactly gentle either…they get in sloppily and flop around until their comfortable and there’s been no sign of weakness. We may be buying more!UPDATE:I had a small tear in a strap and after contacting customer service, I was given a new strap at no extra charge and a wonderful hand written note thanking me for my order and wishing me a happy adventure. I was not disappointed, my family absolutely loves this hammock! This was so easy to put up right out of the bag I didn’t need instructions. Granted I had an idea of how it was going to attach to the tree but I was pretty proud of myself having never put up a hammock before. I’m glad I got the double, it was great for two people, and plenty roomy when it was just yourself. Also very sturdy! I live in Colorado so of course everyone has a hammock and tired of borrowing ones I decided to buy my own. I was worried that this seemed so cheap in comparison to other hammocks but like most marketing they’re not any better than this brand. The straps hold well, the fabric is tough and the bag restuffs great.I probably wouldn’t use this one to sleep with if I was going on a backpack trip only because it’s not quit wide enough to cover you fully unless you really try and it’s a tad thinner than some other brands but if you’re just using it hammock in on a camping trip or go outdoors it’s perfect!

These are fantastic hammocks. I bought a single originally, but I felt the sticking between the colors of fabric cut me a little wrong, so I decided to get the double in hopes that it would be a bit more comfortable.It’s *definitely* large enough for two people, but a bit big for one! It’s still really great for sitting sideways in rather than laying out flat like you would normally use a hammock.The fabric is really nice and comfortable to lay in and it’s very lightweight and strong, as well as being extremely easy to set up and pack away.

I went back and forth on which Hammock to get. I settled on the Wise Owl single person hammock. I’ve never used one before so I was a little nervous if it was going to be difficult to set up. IT WASN’T! When it arrived it was so easy and intuitive to use. You really can’t mess it up. I do wish it came with more adjustable straps though- but I wouldn’t even call that a full complaint bc I just get creative. Not sure if there is different hardware you could get to better adjust…Over all, it’s super comfortable, lightweight, and easy to pack and unpack. I’d buy this again!

Very happy with my purchase! Very good quality, and honestly I can’t tell the difference between these and a $75-$80 ENO hammock. The only thing I will say is if your deciding between the single and double, is the double can Definitely fit two people no problem! I’m a big guy ( 6ft tall 210lb’s) and I’m almost swimming in this thing, got the double thinking the single might be too small but not the case. It’s still very comfortable just might get lost in it on a windy day.. haha

Definitely worth buying. I was skeptical with some of the reviews showing rips. But i have taken my hammock out many times with no problems at all. You are looking for a good quality hammock at a cheap price and this is definitely it and id say worth the money for sure. I was worried that the 2 person hammock would be too large for just me since they only had that size in the color i wanted, but it’s perfect length and i love the extra room it gives me horizontally. Just get the bigger one and thank me later. And yes it came with actual straps with multiple loops, not rope. I love my hammock! 🙂

Finally got to use this for more than a few hours and I love it, I’m in love with hammock camping now. It is super comfortable and easy to put up and take down. We had some very cold nights and my dog was able to sleep in the hammock with me and keep me warm. I have the double hammock but haven’t tried it with 2 people yet, but I liked being able to pull the sides up and block some wind that was coming under the rain fly. I highly recommend Wise Owl and will be getting another for my husband.

We had gone camping a few weeks back. The site next to our had a hammock and their small boys were swinging in it. My four year old watch with big eyes. So when we got home we ordered the same one they had. And then this past trip, we set it up and man it was prefect. I did not get to enjoy it, but my four year old would swing in it all afternoon. For me, ‘hammock’ meant the older style with the spreader bars which took a few minutes to set up and flipped easily. I’d heard about the more expensive brands of ‘bird’s nest’ hammocks and, years later, finally tried the Wise Owl hammock and was instantly hooked! Setup took less than a minute, and the multiple loops on the straps (which are quite long, by the way) allow for easy adjustment if needed. These things are SOOO comfortable and, as other reviews and publications stated, I did experience ‘cool backside syndrome’ on a 70-degree day with a breeze but a cheap sleeping pad will alleviate that. I’m about 250 pounds and weighed enough that the strap played a musical note when I tapped it with my fingers, but this hammock held up nicely! Nicely sewn seams, the attached stuff sack doubles as storage for small items, it includes straps and carabiners and is about the size of a grapefruit when stowed. I can see this lasting for years when properly cared for, and we love ours…I bought two on an ‘amazon deal day’ for less than the price of one of the ‘bird’s nest’ brands!

This is bullcrap. My hammock did not come with the required straps to even put it in the trees. Impossible to set up with what they sent me, one crappy rope and 2 hooks. Nothing else. I feel like they should advertise this CLEARLY so I know what all I need to buy, to be able to set it up. If this is an error on YOUR end, Please send me the straps! Thanks!

I took this product on a camping trip envisioning snuggling with my two grandchildren in it. It was very easy to put up. We also moved it to another location and I appreciated that it works easily with trees that are varying distances apart. It was durable for children and very comfortable for all! Both of my grandchildren and I fit together but I was also very comfortable alone in it. It was easy to take down when rain came and put back up afterward. (I also left it out in the rain during one storm and it dried quickly when the sun came out.)

Product is well made, intuitive, and packs down small. Seems as if it was built to last. Met all my needs for a EDC item for my backpack. If there is timber around, you can set up a shelter in a matter of minutes. The sack even stays attached to the side so you can store stuff in it. And, it’s versatile. Even if there are no trees around, I can stuff it with insulation (pine boughs) for a quick sleeping mat. Saves a lot of space in my pack as a result.The one thing I will warn you is that this is NOT for cold/snowy weather (unless you do have some sort of insulation to put under you). If there is wind, it will blow right under the hammock and freeze your back off no matter how warm you’ve managed to get yourself on top. Slight downside, but that’s more of an issue with hammocks in general – not so much the product itself.

I absolutely love this wise owl single hammock! I’ve never owned a hammock before this one, but I absolutely love it.. and it’s a great price!! Very comfy and could definitely sleep in it. When you hold the material in front of you, it seems almost sheer (not sure of every hammock is like this) but when I sit on it, I’m not afraid of it giving in. It seems pretty strong. The tree straps make it extremely easy to set up, just throw the strap around the tree and pull it through. Comparable to other big name brand hammocks. I had a big name brand hammock for years that lasted through a lot of outdoor abuse. This one seems to be close to as good of quality as the other. The material is a little thinner so I won’t be leaving this one outside as I did my other one. I think if it is properly cared for this hammock can last a long time for you and your family.

I love this Wise Owl Outfitters hammock! It is big, comfortable and I feel safe in it. I love that it has straps connected to the carabiner instead of ropes for added strength. I use this with a PSY hammock bug net and have fallen asleep in it many times. I take it up to the family cabin all the time. When I am not using it, someone else is always sneaking on it. I have had the Wise Owl Outfitters hammock for about a year now and it has held up nicely. If you are in the market for a hammock, this Wise Owl Outfitters hammock is perfect.

We got this one for our 5 year old (because his sister was also getting one for her birthday). We were nervous about getting one for a 5 year old, but it has worked out SO well for him! It does roll up a bit at the top and cover him up while he’s in it, but if he scootches up he’s fine. He’s been outside in it every single day. My husband has also been stealing it whenever possible :). Love that they’re so easy to set up/take down and they fold up into the cute little storage bag that doubles as a little pocket on the side! Our little guy stores his precious toys in there, but you could easily put a water bottle or phone or magazine or whatever in there! Great buy! We’ve had them a few weeks and used them a TON and they’ve held up great!

Lets get right down to the nitty gritty. Triple stitch: The base color is triple stitched to the secondary but the end fold is only single stitched. The hammock slings (suspension ends) are made from web nylon but the quality is low to average. The carabiners are heavy (weight) and are made of steel. There is potential of snagging due to the sharp edges. The tree straps (Talon lite) are also made from 1 inch web nylon but are thinner than most tree straps I have owned. OVERALL OPINION: Light use hammock intended for yard lounging. Remember: You get what you pay for.However, I purchased this hammock solely based upon the 3,769 customer reviews with a 89% 5 star rating.The only reason for the purchase, was my other (more expensive) hammock was damaged by my puppy. I do some extreme backpacking and camping and I feel that this Wise Owl product is not to the quality standards I am accustom too. Needless to say, I bought a higher quality hammock 2 days after purchasing this Wise Owl hammock. What makes it so different? Rip-stop nylon with true triple stitching all the way around, wiregate aluminum carabiners, thick seamless hammock slings and thick 10 foot tree straps (all standard packaging).There is a better product on the market by Wise Owl. Their Featherlight camping hammocks may be the better choice. This can be found from the amazon store front. There is no initial product description, you just have to goto the most expensive hammock they offer, and there you can find the product description.And last but not least, I don’t want a Wise Owl representative to contact me about this review. I understand I didn’t come to you first, but this is not a company issue, this is a product review.

I’ve only used this product one time, I have to say, the durability is impeccable! I am 6ft. Almost 290lbs. I set it up, skiddishly laid inside and of course, my friend decides to SWING me in it, knowing I’m afraid! It held up great! I’m actually sitting in it now while I write this review with my vape, a couple of pillows and hanging out with my friends.I purchased the double hammock for myself because of being a bigger guy. I was always seeing people in these and I really wanted to get one for myself. It is very strong, durable, easy to set up, super comfortable for sitting, laying down by yourself or with a partner or friend.I found it very easy to get into and get out of! It seems to stay nice and cool while laying inside too which is a GREAT feeling while the wind is blowing.The improvement I can think of, for my own personal use, maybe put in a second pouch on the other side as well?? Just a thought. Lasty, maybe give the ability to close it up with either velcro or a zipper so it has that privacy aspect? Could potentially see this being a cool tree tent just for sleeping :)Overall, GREAT product out of the box!Will definitely buy another one or two, makes a great gift too!!

I bought one of these hammocks a few years ago, used it more than one hundred times, never had a quality issue with it, but, it did NOT come with a padlock and somebody stole it.I missed having the hammock so, so much and bought another one. I am so grateful I did.This hammock and its straps weigh nothing and take so little room to store in my backpack that I do not even notice that it is there. I like to hike and ride my mountain bike through nature. I take this hammock everywhere I go. I love to find a couple of trees in nature, stop, set up the hammock and take a nap whenever I want. It is amazing how just a 20 minute nap can be a day changer! Heaven. My best naps ever have been in one of these hammocks.I weigh about 180 lbs. and I have the single. The first one was a double and my wife and I used to take the occasional nap in it with no problems. The build quality is excellent. I have never had a single problem with any of the components.No, I am not getting paid to write this review and I have no affiliation with the company. I do not write many reviews. However, I do like to write a review when the product is excellent as this one is. I will also write a review if I have major problems with a product so others do not go through the frustrations I have gone through.It can take a little getting used to setting up the straps and hammock just right. Your time spent will be well worth it and pay off many times over.Like I said in the beginning, DO NOT let your life pass you by without owning a portable hammock like this Wise Owl Outfitters Camping Hammock! I bought this for my 9 year old daughter after my 7 year old son received a blue double one from grandparents for his birthday. We couldn’t be happier with them! Super easy to set up and so comfy! We had hoped the double would work for both kids but they argued the whole time so we decided to get this single for my daughter. She loves having her own and now I get to enjoy the double with my son. We have set these up in our yard several times and can’t wait to take them camping. I haven’t tried other brands to compare but so far, these are perfect for our needs.

this is my second wise owl hammock. I have a single nest and a double nest. I absolutely love this company. I chose this hammock primarily for its reasonable price and its adorable logo. I was surprised by how much smoother the material is compared to Eno. The hammocks and straps are well made and beautifully colored. I look forward to buying more wise owl products in the future. I purchased 2 of these hammocks for myself and my 15 year old daughter. We went camping and loved them. Very easy set up and take down. Spent 5 nights sleeping in them and slept great! I am a 51 year old woman and usually hate camping with air mattress in a tent. Love my new hammock! My daughter backpacks with her troop in Scouts and said she is now going to hammock camp instead of her backpack tent.

I have never liked hammocks because they always felt unstable. This is a great hammock. Easy to get in and out of (take your time) and super comfortable- especially if you have a small pillow behind your head. And, you can sit up in it, too! Lightweight, easy to hang, easy to repack (put both caribeener ends in first, then stuff). The only issue is, it doesn’t come with directions on how best to hang it using the straps. I figured it out, but directions should be included.

As you can see, I tested almost 400 pounds in this hammock, no problem.Tip: It’s a bit more comfortable sitting sideways, so you don’t feel like you’re lying in the bottom of a taco shell.For a permanent installation, a hammock with “sticks” at either end to flatten the shape would be better.But this is great for taking with you on the hikes, easily setting up in green spaces near your house for a couple hours, etc.The included straps make it easy as pie (actually much easier than pie) to set up, without needing to tie any knots.Well worth the reasonable price!

I bought this to use in my back yard. This is so lightweight, soft, and breathable. Was super easy to set up. Everything from point A (getting it out of the plastic was super easy as it opens well), to setting is up is A+. As far as durability I am hoping I can leave it outside full time and the sun does not dry rot the material. The straps and the Carabiner hooks are very well made! Highly recommend!! I should have bought this sooner!

I like how lightweight this WiseOwl is even though it’s double-sized and pretty long. It’s very airy and comfortable, the stitching is quality enough for the price, the carabiners are even very good. The width on the double is perfect, I’m 6’2” 193lbs and I can easily fit with either (both) young kids. Lady fits with me, but she’s smaller framed, it’s snug. I really like the green color too, it’s less garish than other brands. I ended up getting the XL straps even though the included ones are really nice, because XLs fit better in tighter and wider (less standard) spaces like my backyard deck posts. I’ll keep the old ones anyway, they’re compact. Packs down really small into the attached bag, no problems there, fits in my hand and not much bag space used. I’ll probably get an underquilt for fall/winter use because the breeze does penetrate a bit. Very relaxing and easy sleep!

I knew I would like this hammock, but I didn’t realize how much I would love it. Everything they say out there about rope-spread hammock atrocities is true. We pretend like they’re comfortable, but we know they’re not. The rope lines and worry that you’ll fall out if you fall asleep. Not so with this hammock. I’m 6’4″ and wanted to make sure this would be long enough. It’s a great size for me. The key to these kind of hammocks is to lay in it diagonally. When you do, the pressure points of it against your body practically disappear and make for a very relaxing nap — some people even sleep a whole night in them. I haven’t yet, but may give it a go. All in all, great product and I’m glad I purchased it. Now I just need to add the bug net for when our perfect Florida winter weather turns into mosquito city in the summer.

I’m a big guy at 6’3, ~250 lbs. i much prefer a hammock to a tent when i go camping or backpacking, but its hard to find ones for my height to be comfortable or to hold my weight. I paired the double hammock with the reinforced straps (sold separately) and i had lots of extra room and it feels very secure, slept in it many times and still doesn’t budge or have to settle to much. My only complaint, which is with most hammocks, is that it gets very cold. I live in Washington and do most of my camping/backpacking near the water, and the hammock provides 0 warmth apart from keeping you off the ground. That being said, it’s because of how lightweight it is. it weighs about the same as my phone, if not less, and folds down into the side pouch, very convenient. To make up for the cold butt, i pack a nice cotton blanket. i usually sleep cold anyways, so the blanket just helps block the wind.

Love this! I’ve spent some very peaceful afternoons reading and watching the clouds go by. I bought the double wide based on other reviews even though I’m only using it for myself. I’m tall but not overweight, and I am totally cocooned in this thing when I lay in it. I have to use my legs or arms to keep the sides open, or I can’t even see the sky. I’m okay with it, but something to consider before you choose your size. The straps that come with it work well and have several different length options, and the video was useful to figure out how to hang it up. Would have been nice if it came with instructions, but it’s simple enough that once you hang it you won’t need directions again.

This hammock is amazing! When you’re looking at twice as much or more for some of the more “well known” camping/backpacking/UL brands, this is a great alternative, either for getting into hammock camping or for people like me who don’t have hundreds to spend on gear.With a few adjustments (adding a ridgeline is the best) this is ready to go. I got the double since I’m tall and a squirmy sleeper, and I wanted something comfy enough to sit in without having to take my shoes off. I haven’t done it yet, but it’s so easy to set up/tear down with the attached stuff sack and the long tree straps, I could imagine breaking for lunch mid-hike and setting this up for 20-30 mins to prop your feet up!I’m 5’11” and 200lbs, and both me and my partner can fit in this thing with only some elbow-and-arm-placement-based discomfort. It fits me widthwise and for asym laying it fits and then some, no worry of being too close to the edge on either side. If you’re on the fence, grab this and try taking a nap – you’ll be hooked on hammock camping. I know I’m never going to sleep on the ground again!

This double hammock is fantastic! My 11 year old wanted one for his room and being on the autism spectrum it’s a wonderful tool to help him focus and calm down. The original hammock we ordered had an issue and I reached out to the company as I was outside the return window for Amazon. They responded immediately! Initially, I was looking for a light weight good/fair quality hammock to take into camping trips, and or hang around my place, I run into these Wise Owls hammocks and started my homework reading the reviews; I was sold by the reviews and comments and I can tell why, I received my hammock recently and set it up, tested it and the materials are pretty good, solid but at the same time soft to the touch and the feel it provides. Many people are comparing these to the ENO hammock, which initially I was not aware what was it, just that it doubles the price; however, among the great reviews for these wise owl hammocks, I gave it a try and here I am, happy customer and definitively recommend it. (i think one thing Wise Owl have to work on is changing they carabiners, as these are too heavy, that’s why I thought beforehand to order unexpensive non climbing carabiners but with a rank as 12KN, replaced and happy with the results.) If you are looking for a good quality unexpensive hammock, this is the one to go with. (I purchased the single one)

I am OBSESSED with my hammock! I don’t know why it took me so long to get one. I did a lot of research before purchasing one. This hammock is beautiful! I have Blue/ Grey. The quality is great! Lightweight and easy to pack back up and small to take with you. Super easy to set up. I got a double, which is PERFECT! I can pack it full of pillows and blankets. If you are laying in it on a colder day or camping, definitely have an extra blanket for the bottom. Stays cool, which is nice on a hot day. The only thing I wish for, which I only found out because I got my husband a different brand, is his straps have more holes for much more flexibility in length. I had to attach to his on a trip we took with limited tree options. You can always purchase other straps though. Love, love, love this!!

We own 5 Wise Owl hammocks. And we gift them as well. Great company with great family style customer service. We love the quality of these hammocks, the colors and the varying sizes. The price point can’t be beat. The parachuting fabric is very breathable and does not stretch out of shape, yet does conform nicely for the perfect comfort. We take these everywhere we go. You never know when you’re going to find that perfect spot to hang a hammock. Don’t forget to order the extra straps. They are a life saver. With the extra straps, you have even more options of where to hang your hammocks. The carrying sacks are great on both the hammocks and the straps. These are great fun, even if only in your own backyard.

I love this thing. I weigh 215 pounds and 5 foot 11 I wasn’t sure if my back was going to like it at 43 years old! But it is actually a comfortable position with its tension and sleeping body curve. I normally sleep on my stomach at night but for some reason I don’t see this being an issue and it’s obviously a back sleeping position only, fwiw. A all night sleep will tell all. My 14-year-old son loves this one so it’s his.. I was impressed with the quality and I ordered the double and a bug net they make. Bought a double so maybe I can have a little bit more room to move my arms because I think the single is a little too tight around my shoulders.. can’t wait to try it out. Happy customer.Edit 4-15-2020The double is AWESOME!!!! If you are 140 lb and over then get the double. The single was too tight around the shoulders and wouldn’t fold over and meet properly with my 215 lb frame. The double is perfect in every way. Can’t wait to go camping!

I drive a day cab tractor and I have to wait at shippers for hours sometimes. I’ve been using this hammock for several weeks now and I love it. I pull it from one door to the other and this is way better then laying on a piece of board from one chair to the other.

Item arrived on time and as advertised. I’m newly retired and thought it would be a good accessory for my new position in life. The directions were user friendly and I was able to hang it up in a relatively short time. The fabric is very soft, but it does seem to be quite durable. As far as comfort goes, I was able to zone out for a good hour the first time I tried it out. I would highly recommend this item to anyone who likes to chill outside. It would also make a GREAT retirement gift for someone!

I’m a daily hammock user and when my previous hammock straps snapped one day and left me bruised and banged up I was having anxiety about finding a safer replacement. Having learned that a Hammock is not a place to be cheap. I was obsessively reading reviews and even the super expensive ones had scary reviews and I was ready to just go without just to avoid another terrifying fall. But his last month without a hammock has been lame without one. Then I found this brand and the reviews were stellar, so I took a risk and ordered it. It arrived today and WOW WOW WOW!! It’s made so well, the stitching is perfect and the fabric is so soft it’s hard to believe it’s so strong. It’s almost as soft as my silk travel sleep sheet! And the color omg, this sea foam and blue color is beautiful!! It’s also super long and considerably more comfortable to lay in length-wise because of the extra length! My previous double hammock I always laid in width-wise because I felt less cramped, this one is comfy all directions! The straps that attach to the carabiner are super thick and solid which was the most important since that’s where my last hammock snapped, this one feels way safer and seems so thoughtful made and reinforced. I’ve already been recommending it to friends and family and I’ve only had it for about 2 hours and can’t seem to pry myself from it.

Great hiking hammock. Strong, lightweight fabric. Solid, tree-safe straps with loops for adjusting length. Packs down to about the size of a large grapefruit and weighs only a few pounds. I pack this, a book and some snacks and get myself some downtime deep in the green. The built-in stuff sack also doubles a drink holder. 🙂 The hammock runs a little narrow. I’m 5’8″ and 150 pounds and it’s perfect for me. But some of the reviewers here say the double might be better for larger people. But this was a steal at this price.

So, I’m overweight. I’m working on it, but my current situation is that I’m a 300lb man. And that’s not great for hammocks. So when I saw that this had a crazy-high weight limit of 500lbs, I bought it immediately. And it was well worth it. I bought a single and a double to try them out. I like the single; my wife likes the double. I actually ended up sending mine back and buying the ultralight version that Wise Owl Outfitters sells. It’s awesome as well. This company seems really cool, so I’m trying to buy things I need from them whenever I can.This hammock is great. It includes a really good strap system, and it’s all really light weight. The double is nice and big, so you can cocoon yourself in one if that’s your thing (they’re not warm, though; the lightweight material will not do much to shield you from wind and cold). I’m on the lookout for a decently cheap, but good quality, ultralight underquilt to go with this thing. This hammock is worth every penny.

I carried this hammock on a recent backpacking trip in Sipsey Wilderness in Alabama, and I could not be happier with this product! Setup was a breeze, and I had the best night’s sleep in the woods that I have ever had. I am around 5’10” and 250 lbs, so I opted for the double hammock. I had plenty of extra room. I had a camp pillow and my sleeping bag between my legs in case I needed them during the night, and I still had more than enough room to stretch out and enjoy the night. If you are looking at this hammock, I would highly recommend giving them a try. For the price, I dare you to find a better deal.DISCLAIMER: The ONLY thing that I used that did not come with this hammock was a strap system to hang it. It does come with ropes to use; however, I found that (mainly because of my size) they did not stay as taught as I would have liked them to. Grab yourself a good set of hammock straps, and you’re good to go!

Easy set up! I’m using it as a backyard hammock. I had been purchasing rope backyard hammocks but year after year they’d fall apart. Therefore I decided to look into getting a camping hammock. While I was a little bit skeptical about the ropes since usually use chains that are drilled into a tree they turned out to be snug as a rug!One disclaimer I’d say is if you’re claustrophobic this may not be the product for you. I’m 5’0 and when I fully lay down in the hammock the fabric almost covers my whole face. It definitely gives you a cocoon feeling that while works for me may not work for others!

My husband loves the outdoors. He’s one that actually gets depressed if it rains for too many days at a time. He works nights so I purchased this hammock for him to take advantage of sunny days to soak in those sunrays. It’s still winter, so he’s only used it a couple of times when the South forgets and gives us 70* weather! 😉 I can see him using it quite regularly once Spring gets here! He says it’s the best sleep this side of his deer stand! LOL

After searching for a porch swing for years and not finding what I wanted, this hammock is the solution. It fits perfectly in the corner of our porch and can double as a seated swing. It was much less money than a porch swing, and more comfortable. I’ll be ordering another for our deck.I don’t know why my picture is upside down.🤦🏻♀️

For the price it is a good product. You might need to purchase some modifications for it after some time to make it better, but as it comes it works and works well. I have noticed some people have changed the rope or the carabiner, so if you want something professional this might not be but for beginner or casual user it works well.

Update: Phenomenal customer service! I purchased the pink and gray hammock and there were a few lose threads. I emailed asking what do do about them since pulling or burning them isnt a great idea. They decided to send me another one and apologized.Great hammock, feels well-made and straps feel very sturdy/durable. I really love the yellow hammock but the it doesn’t come in a one person. I purchased it anyways thinking it wouldn’t be too big, I was wrong. It wraps me up like i’m in a cocoon. Sadly, I’ll be returning it in exchange for a small one in a different color.I would also like to mention the businesses great and amiable customer service.

Awesome product! Set up was just a couple minutes, super easy. I laid in it, sat in it, sat sideways like a lounge chair, everything. I’m 6’ tall and felt like a child in the large hammock! It didn’t make any concerning stretchy or creaky noises, and felt super sturdy. I was delighted with it. Added bonus, it actually fits back in the bag it came in, straps and all!
